CHAPTER 19: GIFT

CALLIX

Dad introduces me already as his son and I saw the family Santos was shocked especially Mrs. Santos it’s priceless. We went down to get to know each other and thank those who came. We walk to the table of Santos and I saw Alex looking at me madly.

“ happy Mr. Devera” greeting coming from my dad.

“ thank you, Mr. Santos, by the way, callix. Santos is one of our shareholders” I pretended to be helpless and we shook our hands.

“ oh, nice to meet you again Mr. Santos” I pressed the word again, he looked at me and smile.

“ Uhm nice to see you callix” Alex said but I looked at him up and down.

“ oh Mr. and Mrs. Ledesma, nice to see you” I greeted them.

“ do you know them son?” dad asked innocently.

“ ahh yes dad, they are the family who insulted me before,” I said directly and I looked at their faces and it could not be painted, I make my voice a little bit loud so that others can hear it.

“ what?” dad asked with a sharp eye.

“ ah, Mr. devera this is our gift” Mrs. Santos change the topic so I smiled secretly.

“ screaming eagle 1992” dad said and he handed me but I intentionally slipped on my hand and dropped it to break.

“ oh my gosh callix! You’re such a fool!” Mrs. Santos shouted so the people looked and gab,lian came to us.

“ what did you say?” I asked. She was in red face and didn’t know what to do.

“ and who are you to call my son a fool?! Ha!” dad shouted so many whispering around us.

“ Mr. Devera sorry for my wife said” Mr. Santos is nervous.

“ I didn’t mean to because it’s so expensive----”

With the force of slap, she was sat down but we were surprised because someone came and suddenly slap Mrs. Santos.

“ How dare you to speak badly to a person someone trash like you!”  we were looking to the woman.

“ Mrs. Devera” we looked at the back, its Aaron our private lawyer.

“ Mrs. devera?” Trisha’s dad askes so I turned to dad who was smiling

“ TSS you! Say sorry to my son” she pointed to Mrs. Santos, I can’t help but smile because my mom is here.

“ I’m so sorry Mr. callix” she bowed.

“ Next time watch your word” cold answer. I looked at Trisha who was stunned by me and it looked like she was still shocked.

We left them at their table and went to our table with mom, I feel because someone finally defended me.

“ oh, my son, Calix” she hugged tightly.

“ Sorry for being late, your dad is too slow to search me” he looked at my dad rolling her eyes.

“ no, you’re the one who doesn’t want to search,” dad said.

I just looked at them, I feel like they didn’t separate like they just fought yesterday and now they were okay.

“ TSS, don’t mind your dad, he’s crazy. Why did you just let that woman call you a fool?” mom asked.

“it’s okay mom” my mom wrinkled his forehead.

“ not everything is okay because sometimes you also have to teach them what’s right like it’s not good to say such a bad thing to another person and you just stand there and say nothing? “ she hugged me again and caressed me.

Dad’s party continued while the Santos family acted as if nothing happened, I saw Trisha stood up and I followed it.

“ Mrs. Ledesma” she stooped coming out from the restroom.

“Mr. Devera” she smiles.

“it’s been a long time, I’ve heard that your pregnant” I saw her forehead wrinkled.

“ whenever you have that news that’s not true” she raised her eyebrow, so Alex is lying.

“ so your husband is lying” she was surprised but she did not show it.

“ looks liked he want me to annoy me that why he said that your pregnant” I leaned against the wall.

“ Next time don’t believe what other people say, that’s why your easy to fooled” she smiled.

“ so when you told me that you love me, you fooled me?” I looked at her seriously.

“ believe it or not I loved you before” he walked in front of me but I grabbed her arms and leaned it against the wall.

“ really?” I brought my face close to its face and tried to kiss it but I didn’t expect that she going to close her eyes and let me kiss her.

“ you missed my kiss huh?” I whispered to her ears so he suddenly opens her eyes and pushed me. I saw her blushing.

“ Mr. Devera knows your place” I looked at her smiling.

“ hon!” Alex called her, I looked at him wiping my lips and Alex noticed so I can saw pissed on his face.

“ what going on here?” he looked to both of us but no one of us answered.

“ nothing was just reminiscing” I smiled at Alex and he looked to her wife.

“ by the way, I have to go, enjoy the party” I left and I looked at Trisha. I walked over and approached lian, she looked at me but I whispered to her.

“ Keep still” I wrapped my hand around and brought her closer to me, she just ignores me and continues talking to others.
