Chapter 104: Chapter 104
Throughout the years, I never once imagined that the house I used to reside in would pass into his ownership. Something inside me admired him a little. He's an excellent businessman. He's a billionaire. I did not expect that even a simple property would catch his interest.
I smiled and simply released my hand that he was holding. "You can tour me without holding my hand, Mr. Revelar."
"Oh? Sorry, I forgot." He made a brief chuckle sound. "Just getting used to it," he whispered back and then started walking.
I pretended to be unaware of what he said. I am not ignorant or stupid, I noticed his occasional flashbacks to our past. I don't know if he does that to annoy me or if he really just wants to embarrass me.
I just shook my head and followed him even though I was a little worried inside. If I ever buy the house, he already knows where to find me. I am not presuming he will come to me; rather, I'm just getting ready for the possibility, especially since it is not impossible.
It would be better if I was the only one to live with my family.
However, isn't it good, too?
He will see the children himself then I will just wait for him to ask.
Who are they? Your children, that's it. The end.
I was out of my senses when I was walking.
You are a great thinker, Khrystal. Really great, psh!
"Are you okay?"
I flinched when he appeared in front of me. There was concern in his eyes as he stared at me. I was unable to speak or move at all; it felt like something had been hurled onto me as I stared back at him.
The quick, uneven thumping of my heart nearly caused my chest to explode.
"I-I am fine," I replied and slowly distanced myself.
I swallowed hard and looked away because I could not take his gaze any longer. My hands were even starting to shake a little. It was sweaty too.
Why do I feel anxious all of a sudden?
"Are you sure? Do you have a headache?"
I just shook my head and passed him. "Let's make this quick. I have something else to do."
I never heard him answer, even so I could feel him following me. I stopped walking when we were in front of the door of the house.
"You sure you are okay?" he assured again.
I looked at him annoyed because I was only confused by what he was doing. "I said I am fine, Mr. Revelar."
He stared at me for a while and finally heaved a sigh. He went ahead of me to open the door, after that we went inside together.
I admit, the interior design was great. Polished and clean; the color schemes, fittings, furnishings, etc. Passed my taste and I know the kids will like it too.
"This house has three bedrooms. The masters', guest room, and . . ." he trailed off, it was as if he did n't know the exact word to choose. "A regular one," he ended.
I just nodded and let myself wander. Just like before, I can feel him following me. Even if I don't look at him, I know his eyes are focused on me.
I felt a little pain when I realized that this was not really a house for one or two people. This house can accommodate a family with five to six members.
Did he build this for his family?
But why would he sell it?
"How much?" I asked while not looking at him.
"How much can you offer?" he asked instead of answering.
I stopped there and frowned at him. "Excuse me?"
He slowly licked his bottom lip. "I said, how much can you pay?"
"Shouldn't you be the one to set the price?" I promise.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Five million for everything?"
I glared at him. Looking for a joke there, but even though his tone was unsure, I could tell he was serious about his offer.
"Is this a bargain?" I asked sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
He chuckled. "You said I should set the price."
I don't know if I should close my eyes in annoyance or turn my back on him.
"Mr. Revelar. I am an architect," I began. "I have an idea on the pricing of the house and this house is more than five fvcking million."
A smile appeared on his lips. "Yeah, I have heard that you are already a well-known architect who has made a great reputation for yourself." He looked tenderly at me as he spoke in a delighted tone.
My heart skipped a beat. I don't know if I'm just imagining it. It was like something suddenly blocked my throat.
I cleared my throat and averted my gaze. "Tell me the real price."
"But it is already the real price."
"Are you kidding me?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Then drop your offer," he said.
I felt pain in the back of my neck and closed my eyes in annoyance.
Is he going crazy?
"Come on, let's already set it in five. It is not like I am giving it for free," he stated.
I almost rolled my eyes. What he does is not really far from giving it away for free.
"Are you disposing of this house? If yes, then okay. I will buy it for five million," was all I said.
I don't know why his offer is so low even though the costing of the house and things seems to be eight to ten million. I know that because I know he won't use cheap materials.
Especially it looks like he built it for his family.
"Hmm. Then yes is my answer," he said.
I just shook my head and looked around the house again. I was very pleased with the atmosphere of the house. It provides a calming impact that will put you at peace.
"Okay. I will wait for the contract, then I'll wire the money as soon as possible," I mumbled and looked at him.
I was caught off guard when I met his troubled eyes.
"Why do you need a house?"
I was stunned by his sudden curiosity. He was looking at me intently. Waiting for my answer.
"Are you going to move in with someone?" he asked sternly.
I felt my throat dry at that moment. "Y-you are not allowed to ask that, Mr. Revelar," I stammered.
My eyes widened when he walked the distance between us. He was in front of me and we were only a few inches apart.
I was about to retreat but because of the intense nervousness I almost fell down from weakness. I don't know if I should be thankful that Agustine's arm stopped me at the waist or wish I had just fallen down instead.
His jaw clenched. "Tell me. Do you have a live in partner, Khrystal?" A warning was evident in his tone.
