Chapter 91: Chapter 91
William smile as he sees me get into the car, he waves his hand behind the car before I pull away. William is a good guy, not gonna lie but he does a good job. I turn on the engine and pull away from the driveway leaving William behind. Everyone must be worried at home, and I have to make up a story after I get home. It’s been five years I’m not doing any shit in my life, I kind of like it, and I enjoyed my last 48 hours.
Hearing Lena’s name makes me miss her even more, I was looking out at the incredible, tropical view from our suite’s balcony when I felt my beautiful girlfriend’s arms wrap around me and her warm, red lipstick covered lips press against my neck. I closed my eyes and smiled before she reached into my shorts. “A-uh! I’m starving and want breakfast” I groaned as I shook my head. “You know what babe, I know what I want for breakfast” She replied.
“We can order room service again” Lena whispered into my ear. “Hmm come on Lena” I responded as I took her hand out of my shorts. “Uugh babe, come on” She groaned. “But you owe me a nice day in Bali after my long flight and work” She said as she raised an eyebrow. I winked at her in response, giving my answer. “Fine!” She exclaimed and groaned. We got in the elevator and went to the hotel’s restaurant holding hands.
We were greeted by a room full of applause and congratulations from a couple of Lena’s friends, Dmitri was one of them. We made our way to table number 4 and we joined Dmitri’s table, I sat next to Lena and Dmitri opposite me. Before I slide to the seat, Dmitri noticed the red lipstick mark Lena had left on my neck five minutes ago. “Wow Mitchell, that’s becoming your trademark” He chuckled at Lena who just smiled and raised a knowing eyebrow at him.
“Ah, shut up” Lena groaned and chuckled. “Last night was amazing, you did a great job for our business!” Dmitri praised her. “Well, I’m good at it. You know…” Lena raised an eyebrow proudly. Lena gridded more than 70 international drug markets worldwide and it made her become the first successful woman to achieve success in less than a year. To be honest, I’m not proud of her, I’m not proud of everything she just made.
Everything she attained is just ruined her life and future, I don’t want her to be like that anymore. Breakfast was a bullet and I was very thankful for that. Lena couldn’t keep her hand off of me and vice versa, it made me hungry since I was burning so many calories last night. We had finished eating and we went to the beach after. I grabbed my bag and headed out to the beach. I grabbed a lounger near the sea with a straw umbrella that had good angles for the sun.
I took off my shorts and my shirt. Then lay back in my bikini on the lounger, pulling my sunglasses over my eyes, I finally got to sunbathe, and I could feel the heat of the sun on my skin. “Ugh, I could stay here forever” I groaned, feeling the sun on my skin. “Ugh…” Lena had flopped down on the lounger next to me. “The weather is so good!” She said. “Yeah” I replied. “Good enough” She smiled and bent down to kiss me.
“Mmm you owe me even more now” She almost growled. I laughed softly as I caressed her hair “Did I owe you a good kiss?” I asked. “Haha… that’s not including the taxes” She laughed. “Oh, I got it! I’ll pay you tonight including the taxes I owe you” I teased her in the sexiest way she can imagine. “Well, you good at it” She sighed then she kissed me. I enjoyed my day with her, that’s was my second time visiting Bali.
“Whoops” I shriek and I almost crash a tree near my driveway. I parked my car and get out of the car. I grab my bag with me and shut the car’s door. I didn’t notice that I have already reached my house after I dropped William in the other neighborhood because my mind was thinking of Lena. I make my way to my house and I get into the house, it’s almost 6 PM in here. My family must be worried about me.
“Gosh! Where have you been?” My mom hugs me all of sudden. All the family in my house, they're waiting for me after the cops told them that I already on my way home. “I’m fine mom, I’m right here” I say, caressing my mom’s back. “God, I was so worried. I’ve almost dead” My mom says. “Hey grandma” I hug my grandma. “Oh, God” Ben hugs me after I off myself from my grandma. “I thought there’s something bad happens to you” Ben says in relief.
“Daddy” I hug my dad, he hugs me and caressing my back. “I’m so glad you’re fine” He says in relief. I tell nothing but smiles, removing myself from my dad. We sit in the living room and they punch me with a lot of questions. “What happened to you?!” My mom asks. “Uh… so I was driving home and got jammed, so I took a shortcut to avoid the long jammed-” I start. “Instead of reaching home on time, I get lost and I’m out my car gas” I say.
“I get lost to a small town named Rattlesnake near the lonely way-” I explain but my grandma cut me off. “There’s no town named Rattlesnake” My grandma says. “Well, that may be a small town who nobody knows about that” I reply and shrug. “Well, that’s convincing...” My mom says. “Then I meet a local man, he helped me with my car-”. My grandma cut me off again “W-wait… why don’t you call us?” She starts.
“We have your picture on news! They have a TV there right? Didn’t they?” She ends. “Jeez grandma, can I tell my story for a second” I sigh. “This is bullshit” My mom states. “Oh, come on mom” I scoff. “Stop everyone, let her talk!” My dad says. I heavily sigh and keep thinking about what would I say after this, I lean my back on the couch and take a deep breath. “There’s no line in there, there is no light, either” I say.
“Thank God, that man helps me. So I can get home!” I end. “Everything isn’t important, you finally home!” My dad says. “I thought we lost you, we’re so worried if somebody did something terrible to you” My mom says in a muse. “Everything fine mom, I’m here” I smile. “Okay, I gotta cook us for dinner, after that we’ll back home” My mom says, she gets up from the couch after and make her way to the kitchen.
I lied to my family because I’m not ready to have a commitment with someone. I’m not ready to have a serious relationship with anyone else. My parents weren’t exactly welcoming of who I was like Lena’s mom was for her. I was dating my college friend when I just broke up with Lena, that’s not a relationship for me, that was my distraction from Lena. We’re together just for a month before my mom found out that we’re together.
I didn’t love her, so we broke up after my mom find out and I didn’t see her anymore after. My parents much prefer Ben and had visions of me giving them grandchildren and growing old with him, but I don’t know if I could. “The food is ready!” My mom calling us from the kitchen. We make our way to the kitchen and sit together at the dining table, Ben sits opposite me. “So, how’s the engagement? Should we arrange in the next month?” My mom starts to talk.
