Mary was shocked to her bone marrows, she wondered from where Eva got a gun , even though she felt relieved to have her daughter armed and fit to face them.

“Who do we have here?” Tony asked almost being choked with laugh, and then he started coughing when he couldn’t quench the cough with another laugh. He dug out a cigar from his pocket , lit and smoked with great appetite , “I want to meet with your shabby mother not you, else I would have pulled down the door to your room and bullied you like a beast. Now you are standing there and pointing a gun at me is very disrespectful and my boys wouldn’t take that shit form you.”

Eva stole a glance at the boys with the corner of her eyes and saw they were looking more hostile than she saw them from afar. They seemed not to be disturbed by her unannounced presence; worse of it , they were out to drain all the wine and spirits in the wine shelf as they kept emptying one bottle after another into the stomach, as though they hadn’t drank wine for a long while now.

“Your mother belongs to my heart, Eva,” Tony said and dimmed his eyes to draw from his cigar. “She wanted me to prove my love for her and I did, even went to the land of the dead and back now to posses what belongs to me. My feelings for her is non negotiable. The next time I am going to pull over to this place, have it in mind that somebody is going to die; blood spill, Eva. Blood,”

Eva cut in angrily, her crisp voice echoing from wall to wall, “Yours will spill, you asshole. My last encounter with you, I clobbered your head, this time around I am going to smash your life and send you back to the land of the dead without any visa to return.”

His boys chuckled and clicked the glass of wine in cheers. They couldn’t hold back so they chuckled until they quietened for Tony to speak yet further.

“Come on boys, it is indeed laughable. The sweet pussy wants to send me back to the land of the dead, same bad boy Tony that the land of the dead rejected”

Tony gently advanced to her. “Ask your mother the road to my heart and tell her to ply such road back to my heart if she wants to remain a happy woman for the rest of her life. Mary wondered what was stopping Eva from taking a shot at them, since they seemed not to be armed or not interested in whatever weapon they were having.

Tony shot his hostile look at Eva and clenched his teeth, “Reserve your energy, bitch!” he cursed and drifted from Mary , in few days, if I don’t see her in my bed, then you are going to show me what stuff you are made of . Get prepared to kill me , else I will kill you,” he said, waved at his boys for them to depart.

The boys took their time to loot plenty of wine and spirits, which they clamped under their armpit and hands,

They were prancing out of the sitting room now and Tony paused at the side of Mary, squatted to her thighs and sniffed on it. “I can smell what you will taste like tonight . I will be waiting,” he said, face close with Mary and about stamping a kiss on her cute lips , she pulled back and Tony stopped, smiled briefly and had a walk with his boys.

Quickly Eva hastened to her mother and they had a lengthy hug almost breaking down in tears as they rubbed on the back of each other.

Mary held back, held her face and caught sight of the pistol in her hand.

“What are you doing with a gun? Who gave you?” she asked, feeling really disturbed within her spirit if Eva had joined a bad peer group.

“Come on mom, this is a toy gun.” She clicked the trigger and hit it in her palm to prove to her it was, “it is a toy gun.” She said again, hit on the black plastic gun and waved it before her eyes , “I only used it to scare them,”

“Toy gun?” Mary snapped, “You just risked your life, baby girl. What if they had shot at you, thinking you were actually having a real gun?”
