Eva rolled her eyes and said, “We have to take the hard way. It is the only option but you have to do it. I know it is going to hurt but then we are stuck between the falling bridge and a drowning sea”

Mary grinned, breathed uneasily as she bit her lower lip in regret and bewilderment. Certainly she had come to the end of the road and she would have to decide her fate before Tony would visit with his boys again.

“Talk to me. I am all ears. What option is that?” Mary demanded, as she anxiously stared at Eva in the face to get her reply.

Eva smacked her lips feeling heavy to say the option. But she had to say it anyways. “You have to reveal the truth to Doctor Frank. Tell him everything. How you chained Tony and all that led to his coma. It is time to take the bold step…” she was interrupted.

“Oh no, no, no ,” Mary lamented stamped her feet on the ground and bit her finger thoughtfully “Doctor Frank is just going lose trust in me. He is going to tell his parents. I would be taken for a murderer. The lies I told are just too much. How do I open my mouth and tell Doctor Frank that the same boy I claimed to be my nephew is my sugar boy and it is one of our adventures that led to his coma. Oh my goose! I am even sounding like a fool and a betrayal already as I listen to myself. How do I gaze upon that innocent Doctor who gave in his all believing that he was treating my nephew…” Eva interrupted her but then she had started wailing.

“Mom, stop this. Stop this!” Eva snapped , “This is the time to proffer solution and not to wail. We need to think. Tony is a die-hard bad boy. If he doesn’t get us, he will get down Doctor Frank, so it is in his interest you tell him everything for him to know who he is dealing with now.”

Mary shook her head hastily, “I understand what you mean my daughter, I do, but my heart is heavy. I lack the guts to look him in the face and tell him something that is not only absurd but deceitful . He would see me as a monster. I would be nothing to him. My respect and love would be lost and the dust of the earth would be more valuable than me…”

Eva sparked in rage, “Mom, mom, mom could you stop. You are just here reaching conclusion about something you know nothing about. What if Doctor Frank proves to be the opposite of what you think he is . That man loves you so much and would not feign blind eyes while Tony rips you from his hands. All I am saying is reveal it to him, make him understand the true personality of Tony so that he could protect himself and be careful. if you continue to leave him in the dark, he could still believe Tony is your nephew which makes him vulnerable to that bad boy. Ok fine why don’t we involve the cops,” Eva gave another suggestions.

‘Hell no, never,” Mary thudded , rubbed her eyes of the tears that gathered in it. “Not a good idea. If we report to the cops without letting Frank know of it, it could worsen it, also the case with the cops is that Tony’s estranged girlfriend is responsible for his coma, so it means I am shooting myself in the leg. Tony will reveal it all to the cops and Frank.”

Eva shook her head , “Goddamit !”eva snapped in fury, “mom you have to do the needful then. Go to your man, make love to him to calm his nerves reveal it to him with your eyes welled up in tears and watch how he would forgive you.”

Doctor Frank’s parents were well seated in the sitting room , sharing a cup of coffee and discussing about the forthcoming wedding of Doctor Frank and Mary, when a trumpeted moan of a female voice blared into their ears and they paused, trailed the moan to the bedroom of Doctor Frank. With their ears pinned on the door, they could over hear Mary moaning madly.
