Chapter 179: Chapter 179

Chapter 179

~Wedding in two days~

Ken shot an engaging stare at Mrs. Fanny and handed her a flute of red wine that left her blushing and staring at him lustfully. Her world that was about crashing was standing even firm now and she could not describe how she felt. The doctor had proven to be nice by altering the paternity test so as to save her marriage.

“A toast to our first child,” Ken said and noticed as Blueeyes walked in with his hands folded and a surprise look on his face. “Also to our wedding that would be in two days time,” he added, smacked his lips and about to click his flute of wine to hers

Mrs. Fanny rubbed her little baby bump that was obviously getting noticeable and bigger by the day.

“Yes baby, you forgot to add a toast to our happy union, which is very important.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Ken affirmed and they clicked their glasses together and had a sip before he pulled to her, kissed her lips and had the urge to squeeze her big buttocks when he recognized Blueeyes was in their midst.

Ken smacked his lips and cast a stare at Blueeyes who was obviously stealing a glance at them even when he pretended to have his gaze on the wall.

“Hi Blueeyes won’t you say a greeting to us?” Ken asked.

He turned his frown to them, “I see no other person here than two adults that are deceiving themselves. Besides you two can use the bedroom and stop disturbing me.”

“I don’t know how many times I am going to remind you that I am your father and not your peer group…”…” Ken wanted to speak yet further when Mrs. Fanny interrupted,

“Come on darling, ignore the kid. I don’t want anything to spoil this happy moment. I mean we have every cause to be grateful, our unborn child and wedding that would hold in two days,” she rubbed his cheeks. “We may have to excuse the arrogant kid, so that we don’t give room for insult,” she added.

“You are right, upstairs then,” Ken said, as she led the way and rolled his eyes at Blueeyes.

Mrs. Fanny knew the reason Ken was excited was because of the result of the paternity test the doctor told him and she was very much grateful the doctor could do her bidding, after she had given up on him. The paternity of the unborn child was a secret she was going to die with.

When they got into their room upstairs, the first thing that welcomed Mrs. Fanny was her luxurious elegant wedding gown that lay in the bed.

“Wow, baby, I can see today is going to be full of surprises. Oh my goose!” she exclaimed and made to the wedding gown, “I love this. I can’t wait for two days.” She placed the gown on her body, appeared in the mirror and swirled admiringly.

Ken sat in the chair and smiled on, while she got undressed, squeezed into the wedding and cat-walked before him.

“Oh thank you so much sweetie,” she said, and could not let go of the gown as she kept appearing in the mirror to behold her appearance.

Ken walked to her and held her on the waist. I have organized my wedding committee to put things in place, and ensure that our wedding becomes the talk of the town. This is a dream come true. Each time I set my eyes on you, it dawns on me that I am blessed.” he perked her on the neck and placed his hand on her stomach. “Do you know what the doctor told me?” he asked.

And she turned her gaze to him, saw the frown that clouded his face and wondered if what he was about saying had anything to do with the paternity test result. Worst still, the frown on his face scared her so much that her heartbeat thudded like a bass drum. She swallowed hard and sniffed.

“What?” she whispered and could earn some iota of relief when he smiled briefly.

“He says the child in your womb …” he paused, smacked his lips and frowned again as though something was going on in his mind. He snorted, “Is a baby boy,” he intoned finally.

She let a breath of relief and shut her eyes briefly, “Hmmm, oh really,” she replied, “So finally I can add a boy to my life, a boy that can take the place of Kate and make me proud since she has decided to follow the ways of her father, that cheap liar.”

“I want you to forget about him,” Ken said, placed his finger around the engagement ring on her finger and started rubbing it. “The only thing you should be thinking about right now is our wedding.” He let a contagious smile that charmed her to let a smile too. “I have never wedded in my life before.” He stroked her hair and brought his nose to the long blonde hair that curled like noodles to her neck. “I can already sense what our marriage will smell like.”

She chuckled, and smacked her lips, “May I know what it smells like?” she inquired, and placed her palms on his cheeks.

“Hmmm,” he shut his eyes, breathed upon the hair, “It smells like a freshly brewed red wine from the brewer’s chamber.”

They burst into a loud laughter and their faces began to pull closer to earn a kiss before a call came on her phone and interrupted them, and their lips paused at kiss length.

Ken smacked his lips in disappointment.

Quickly, she advanced to her phone and once she saw the strange number, she puzzled before picking up the call.

“Hi, sweetie, it is Teddy, the father of your unborn child…”

Teddy said from the other end.

And she hung up, scowled her face and stared at her phone fearfully.

“Who is that?” Ken asked, studied the looks on her face. “You look scared,”

She forced out a smile, “Never mind. Is a nobody.” She returned to his arms and initiated the kiss once again, with her thought dwelling upon Teddy and how to handle him from destroying her marriage

Disaster! Scandal! Trouble ahead!
