Chapter 84: Chapter 84
Louis' bodyguard held the door open and Louis waited, beckoning to Pamela to get in first. She glanced at him and he nodded.
Her eyes welled up with tears but she smiled and gently got into the car. The first and the last time she got into Louis' car was when he forced her in, throwing her violently into the car and her belly hurts.
She remembered she tried to beg him back then and he wouldn't listen to her. His chauffeur drove them to the hospital and he dragged her out, violently as he had forced her in.
Pamela was deep in her thoughts and didn't realise that Louis had slipped into the car from the other end. He shut the door and glanced at her, she was quiet.
He squinted. He guessed immediately what she was thinking. That day, he forced her into his car and took her to the hospital. That was the first time they got into the same car together and it was the last time before the present moment.
She had refused to come back home with him. She walked to only she knows where and he never saw her until five years later.
He gently placed his hand on hers and said "I'm sorry Pamela" he looked remorseful about his previous attitude towards her and he wished he could turn back the hands of time.
Pamela glanced at him with reddened eyes and smiled "What?" She asked, not knowing why he apologised. Has he been talking to her and she didn't hear him talk?
"What are you thinking? I really regretted my actions back then. I'm sorry about it, please forgive me" Louis apologised.
Pamela just stares at him. He guessed right, she really was thinking about the past, the unpleasant experience of the past.
"That's in the past now. What is important now is that we have left the past behind and fall in love with each other. This is the dawn of a new beginning for us" Pamela declared, gazing into his eyes and then turned to look straight ahead.
"Thank you, my love. I promise I will never hurt you again. I will make it up to you, I know I owe you that, big time" he promised.
The chauffeur got into the car and drove them out of the Hayden Mansion. Then suddenly, Pamela remembered that there's someone she didn't see at the party and it's unlike him to be far from Louis at any time.
"I didn't see Romeo," Pamela said. It's more of a question than a statement. She glanced at Louis.
"Yeah. He's got a new baby. So I gave him two days off, today and tomorrow" Louis answered. He glanced at Pamela and saw her smile broadly, looks like the news of a new baby excites her.
Louis asked if Pamela would come to his Mansion or she would want to go back to hers. She said she will return to her Mansion.
Louis glanced at her and nodded. He instructed the chauffeur to drive towards her address. They were quiet except that Louis placed her palm in his.
When they arrived at her Mansion, Louis ordered the chauffeur to excuse them. He did and he pulled Pamela to himself. They both were gazing into each other's eyes affectionately.
"I love you so much, Pamela," Louis confessed. He knew he loved her. He thought initially that he was obsessed with her after what he did to her and his mother's scolding.
But he soon realised that it was way more than obsession. His heart and thoughts were about her. After retrieving the copies of the CCTV footage in his room, during that period he was in a coma, he fell in love with her more.
"I love you too," Pamela declared and kissed him. They started kissing each other affectionately. Louis took the lead, forcing his tongue through and possessing her lips.
They were engrossed with each other, getting deeper in the act, Louis moved her onto his thighs and kissed her sweetly, his hands caressing the open backside of her dress.
Louis felt the hardness of a certain part of his body. He could feel a surging pleasure gushing all over him and he knew he had gotten to a level that if he didn't withdraw, he would lose his composure, and quickly he pulled away.
He glanced at her face and saw her blushed. Her lips were slightly swollen and she looked like she wanted more from him.
"Kiss me more, Louis' ' Pamela demanded, caressing his hair. "I want to keep on with it, but I'm losing my self control, '' he explained and kissed her temple.
Pamela nodded. She hugged Louis again and moved off his thighs, pushing the door open.
"I love you" he whispered into Pamela's ears and told her goodnight. He stepped out of the car along with her and saw her get past the door before getting him into the car again.
Lucas arrived home and went upstairs. He had moved into his apartment again and sank into the sofa. Just like that, Pamela is now Louis' woman.
I love you. I know I do but then I can't confess it to you. I feel hurt that I lost you but I am also happy that you finally found love and happiness with a man who loves you and will never treat you like I treated you.
He couldn't bring himself to do anything except take a bath and desire to climb into his bed and sleep off, forgetting his present heart state and waking up the next morning to the reality that has come to stay.
But then, his phone rang and he remembered that Louis said he would call. And true to his words, he was the one calling, via a video call.
"Louis Hayden" Lucas said, sitting on his bed already. He saw the latter was putting on pyjamas as well. They both smiled and Louis said "thank you Lucas for leaving her for me"
He knew he loved Pamela. If he didn't know before, the few minutes they spent together that night before parting ways had confirmed his suspicion, he is in love with his girlfriend.
Lucas chuckled and asked "what do you mean by I left her for you?" Lucas asked. This guy must have been a very good observer to notice his oddness was connected to his feelings for Pamela.
"You love her. She is your ex-fiance and I still see it in your eyes that you long for her in your heart. But you left her to go to the person she loves. You sacrificed your happiness for her to be happy and I appreciate you for that…"Louis appreciated.
Lucas massaged his temple and sighed softly. Louis is right. He gave up his feelings and desire to make Pamela happy. But if the past weren't soiled with his betrayals, he would have still pursued her.
"Yeah, you are right but not entirely. I would have still pursued her and made her fall in love with me, but it just can't be possible between us anymore," Lucas declared.
"Tell me more about it, Lucas," Louis requested. Is there something he is not knowing? He knew Lucas and Emma Grayson, Pamela's sister, were married at the time. What other reason would there be that he didn't know if?
"I will tell you everything I can, just to relieve myself, Louis," Lucas declared and sniffled. It appeared he had caught a cold.
"Pamela was my fiance back then before she was married to you. But I was having affairs with her sister, Emma. She didn't know that I was cheating on her. But the night before she would be your wife, she came to my apartment and saw us both together, making love.
She didn't scream, yell or put up a fight, rather she went away. At that time, Emma was pregnant and we had to be married. I said horrible words to her just to keep her away from me, to make her hate me.
Emma taunted her and I cared less about it. Now, tell me, how can I think of making her my woman again after I cheated on her with her sister and betrayed her?
Some things are best kept away, to avoid making it soil the vigour of the moment. I paid for my sins and betrayal in a hard way but I also got my friend back.
She has learnt to trust me as her friend again. That's enough. She doesn't deserve a man like me but a better person like you. She can't get Emma's left over, no. She should have her own portion, filled to the brim.
Though I haven't stopped loving her, she's the one I really love, not Emma. But the latter was ready to offer me sex whenever I wanted it. I became addicted to Emma but I didn't love her.
When I became Pamela's friend again, that feeling came stronger than it used to be. I love her but I can't be with her because I was married to her sister once…"
