Chapter 64: Chapter 64
Pamela saw him smile and felt remorseful that she asked him that question. She ought to be happy that they fell apart, but she isn't going to derive any pleasure in seeing people close to her hurt and unhappy.
No matter what had happened, Lucas was at a time, occupying her heart and Emma was her sister. Many waters might have passed under the bridge, but these two people used to be important to her.
"And your son?" Pamela probed further. She wasn't taking her ice cream anymore. She was still glancing at Lucas.
"Albert is not my son. Emma's boyfriend Rowland is his father. And now, they are together" Lucas explained briefly.
He didn't give details. That would be for another day. If he starts talking about how everything went with him, the purpose of him taking Pamela out to ease her tense mood would be dwarfed.
"Enough of talking about me. Let's talk about how you ended up being a princess?" Lucas changed the topic.
Pamela sighed softly and smiled. She will think about what Lucas just told her. "Well, my mom was a princess from the Royal family of Middletown City…" Pamela spent the next hour, explaining everything to Lucas.
How her father was a Steward in the palace and her mother, a princess fell in love with him. She got pregnant and was banished.
Everything she told him, to the time her grandparents found her. She just got divorced with Louis Hayden and they came to her rescue.
She was acknowledged as a princess, in place of her late mother and that's how her story being a princess began….
They had already arrived at Pamela's Mansion when she finished. Lucas was speechless all along. Her story was touching.
From a royal bloodline and yet lived poor. Got married and was unloved. Divorced and found by her royal family. Everything fell into place and she became strong and powerful.
"You deserve all the good things that later came into your life Pamela. I wish you a more fulfilling life, filled with so much love and happiness" Lucas chimed.
"Thank you Lucas. And I hope you find happiness and fulfilment again. You were such a good person before you were polluted by a whore. Now that you are free from her clutches, may good locate you again" Pamela chimed.
"Thank you," Lucas smiled.
That night, Pamela's phone rang, just before she slipped under her quilt. She was dazed when she saw the caller ID was her grandmother.
"Grandma…"she said and started sobbing. She was having a video call with Clarion Johnson and the older woman cleaned the tears on her face.
"My daughter," Clarion said and her voice choked. The two women started sobbing. Gazing at each other, sobbing and sniffling.
"I missed you Grandma" Pamela finally found her voice. She smiled through her tears. She had tried countless times to place a call across to her grandma but her calls ended in futility.
"I missed you too dear," Clarion responded. She sniffled and calmed herself. The two women soon began talking normally.
Pamela told her how she's survived without her servants and employees. How she hired some bodyguards to protect her and her kids.
Then suddenly Clarion asked her about the kids "How is Dora and her brothers?" She hadn't seen the kiddos for some time now and she really missed them like she missed their mother.
She never would have believed that she could stay without them for several months, but then she had no option. She survived and hoped she would see them soon.
"They are with Louis," Pamela replied. She doesn't want to give details on how they ended up with him. It was because of Louis and her insistence to own the custody of the kids that her grandparents left her.
She's not ready to say anything that might make her Grandparents unhappy again, especially her Grandma Clarion.
Clarion smiled when she heard Pamela's words. At least they were getting along little by little for Louis to have the children. She was happy. She looked forward to when they would both bond together again.
"That's what I expect from you. Let him have them for a few days and gradually, the gap between you both will get mended.
But tell me something Pamela, don't you have something for Louis? I mean any feeling or desire to get back to him? At least something about him that interests or attracts you?" Clarion asked, wishing she could spark a romance between her daughter and Louis Hayden.
If not because of anything, for the sake of the kids and the royal family. She needs to get back to Louis Hayden and be married to him legally before she can be welcomed with splendour back into the royal home.
Tarvan had outlined the prerequisites for her to return home and get her titles back. All she wants now is to see that happen.
"I don't know Grandma. Besides, if he has nothing for me, I can't force myself on him. He has a girlfriend and I know her" Pamela explained helplessly.
Louis doesn't have a thing for her. Miranda Alvan is the woman in his life and they seem to care about each other. She cannot act so desperate to force herself on a man who didn't spare her a glance.
She didn't appeal to him five years ago when he divorced her and now, she still doesn't look attractive to him. Maybe she's not his type of woman.
But talking about that, she knew she wasn't looking bad facially. Her body and figure are not bad either. She's educated and rich and now comes from an influential family.
What other qualities does Louis Hayden want that she doesn't possess? She could only narrow it down to the fact that he doesn't like her.
"I know dear. You cannot force yourself on him but try and get closer to him. You both should know each other a little more and create free access from him to you.
Get acquainted. You can't judge correctly when you are glaring at him from afar. If he has a girlfriend but is not married to her, there might still be a chance for you…"Clarion encouraged.
She promised to call her more often now. But she shouldn't try calling her because Tarvan mustn't know she called her secretly. She would call her when she knew her husband wouldn't know.
Meanwhile, she transferred some five million dollars to Pamela and told her to replenish her savings since she doesn't have the company again.
When the call ended, Pamela felt relieved. What an amazing day she had. She was initially moody, sad and sobbed until Lucas came and her day took a different turn.
In the midst of her confusion and frustration there are people who love her and are true to her. She has found her friend back, Lucas will not fail her again, not for the second time.
And now, her grandma called her after several months. It seemed like a dream to her. She called her and even advised her to get along with Louis. She's glad someone said a few lines to her about Louis and her relationship, her grandma's words made a lot of sense to her.
While Pamela laid on her and let these thoughts filled her excited mind, Lucas was having his own thoughts:
