Romeo coughed slightly to interrupt the fuss of tension. He knew the bodyguard was doing his job and Pamela wants him to accord her some respect.

Before the argument could get any worse than it already was, he said "Miss Pamela, if you want to see Mr Hayden, I will arrange a meeting for you, is that alright?"

Pamela nodded. She stared at the back view of Louis Hayden as it soon disappeared further into the restaurant. He should at least spare her a glance. She's been through a lot lately because of her past relationship with him.

Romeo smiled and bowed slightly before walking away. He soon catches up with his boss. Pamela sighed softly and walked into the restaurant.

She was going to look round to find Lucas when the latter waved to her from a distance. She smiled and walked over to him. He stood up and hugged her before motioning her to a seat.

Despite trying to look composed, Lucas could tell that she looked pissed up. He held her hand and asked "you look pissed up Pam, what happened?" he asked.

Pamela blinked her eyes and forced a smile "I am fine, Lucas" she replied. She didn't need to tell him about what just happened. It's not necessary.

Lucas narrowed his brow. He stared at her with affectionate eyes and chuckled "I know you Pam, like the back of my palm. I know when you are pissed up and when you are stressed out.

Before I messed up our relationship, remember I was your closest friend and your confidant. You have grown older than you were and your personality might have changed, but you are still that Pamela I used to know.

So tell me what happened. Don't try covering it up with an awkward smile because I can still read your mind beyond that smile" Lucas tucked.

Pamela glared at Lucas and her eyes became teary. This is her Lucas. The one she had fallen in love with. He reminds her of the past, those times when she would run to him and he would offer her a shoulder to lean on.

He was her confidant like he said. Her entire life revolves around him and she never thought she could live without him until circumstances forced her to paddle on the raging storm of her life without him.

He understands her when she blinks his eyes, he can explain her fears when she feels bored and confused. And even today, he still understands her.

"It's alright if you don't want to tell me. I can guess it has to do with President Hayden, your ex husband. But if telling me would get you upset and broken, I don't want to hear it anymore" Luca declared.

He saw her eyes and the tears in those eye sockets. He doesn't want to see her tears again. He had caused her so much pain in the past and now, her tears were needless, poking his delicate organs.

He doesn't want to see her teary anymore.

Pamela cleaned her tears and smiled. The same affectionate Lucas again but this time he is her friend, not her fiance. It's hard to degenerate from a fiance to a friend. It's much better to upgrade from friends to lovers or fiance. But whatever life throws at her henceforth, she would build a castle with it.

"No, don't talk like that. I didn't want to bother you initially but since you want to help, I will tell you all the same. I was pissed up by Louis Hayden's cold attitude towards me,…."Pamela explained.

Louis Hayden didn't take a bite of the lunch to his mouth. He had been quiet since the moment he stepped into the private booth.

Romeo had ordered his lunch and still he didn't eat. He was staring into the distance. He wants to know why Pamela didn't honour the invitation to meet him that morning.

Why was she in the prestigious restaurant? Is she alone or with someone? She's lost everything and yet, she didn't come finding him.

His kids are with her and that made him restless. He wants to help her, to be a part of her life and the kids. To make them comfortable and offer the best of all he has, but she's stubborn.

What kind of a woman is she? Why can't she just forget about the past and think of the present, prepare for the future as well. Why can't she give him a chance, if it's just for the sake of their kids.

"Find out if Pamela is here alone or with someone" Louis Hayden finally spoke. He is not the talking type but definitely not when he is with Romeo.

"Alright" Romeo answered. He knew this sudden quietness had everything to do with Pamela. Louis Hayden has been Obsessed with Pamela for sometime now.

He won't stop investigating her nor will a passing day go by without going through her blog and checking her page on social media.

He still hasn't been able to fathom it if the desire to be with the kids was driving him into doing all that or there's an underlying feeling he hasn't been able to express.

In less than five minutes, Romeo returned and he saw how Louis Hayden's eyes snapped at him sharply, he wanted an answer.

"She's with someone," Romeo reported. His eyes fastened on his boss. He was reading his expression. And he saw Louis' facial expression went from being expressionless to a frown and quickly back to the way it was.

"Who?" He proved further. " She's with Lucas Wright. He used to be her.." Romeo was explaining when Louis raised his hand, indicating that the information was enough.

The rest of the lunch was done still in silence. Louis Hayden was uncomfortable. Pamela was seeing another man, no wonder she didn't care about coming to seek his help.

She was having a great life and he was worried sick about her. He wants to forget her completely so that he can move on with his life.

"...you shouldn't have let that make you feel pissed up. He didn't say anything doesn't mean he wants his bodyguards to embarrass you.

Common Pam, you are thinking too much. Shake it off and don't let little trivia matters soil your mood" Lucas defended Louis.

They made their orders and started eating. Lucas would glance at Pamela at intervals and wish in his heart he hadn't blown his chance of being with her away.

Men can be something else at times. He left the one who truly loves him and chose a liar, a cheat and a whore in her place. What was he thinking back then, what pushed him into making such a fatal mistake?

"How is your wife and kid?" Pamela asked between mouthfuls and glanced at Lucas. She hadn't asked him how Emma and their baby was doing. Probably because she doesn't want to know a thing about the Grayson's family.

But Lucas' hands shivered and he paused. He didn't look up at Pamela but she can tell his complexion turned Ashen.

"Did I say something wrong?" Pamela asked and Lucas shook his head. "Emma and Albert are doing fine" he replied and his eyes went red.

Pamela nodded. Even though she wants to know more about why Lucas felt the way he did when she asked about his family, she prefers to be quiet and not inquisitive.

Perhaps he was not interested in telling her that part of his life, just as she wasn't interested in telling him about what Louis Hayden did to her.

They both might have that secret about their relationship with their spouse and ex spouse confidential. She won't probe further.

When they finished their lunch and were planning on leaving, they saw Louis Hayden strode out in his majestic look. His presence is domineering and his aura cannot be mistaken.
