Chapter 49: Chapter 49

Her grandparents are both not of that blood group. Herself, she's not have that blood group. Now, their only hope is the hospital sourcing for it.

An idea occurred to Pamela and she ordered that all the bodyguards be tested and the servants in the mansion. Half an hour later, all of the bodyguards and servants couldn't come out compatible with her.

The doctors returned and said they the only donor that might be suitable for her was out of town. And his son who shared the same blood with his father has a heavy infection and cannot donate his blood.

Dora has less than two hours left to be transfused. They are trying their best and hope everything comes out good.

It was dark already. Clarion couldn't take it anymore. When she was alone with her husband and Pamela she suggested "I think Louis should be invited. His blood might be the same with his daughter's"

Tarvan squinted. Louis which Louis was Clarion talking about? Before he could ask, Pamela replied "He's never been part of the kids' life. Calling him over now, I don't know what to expect"

"Which Louis are you both talking about?" Tarvan asked. Is there something he needs to know? Something his wife and granddaughter are not telling him.

"Louis Hayden is Pamela's ex husband and the father of the quadruplets" Clarion answered quickly. She was wrong not to have told Tarvan what she discovered that morning.

"Louis, Leah and Ellis Hayden's son?" Tarvan asked and Clarion nodded. Pamela looked away, deliberately avoiding meeting her grandfather's shocked expression.

Tarvan was speechless. Louis was his granddaughter's ex husband? No wonder the semblance between him and two of the boys. He had only thought it was a coincidence. He really was their father?

There were a lot of questions he needed to ask but now was not the time for that. They needed to save Dora's life first.

"Let's invite Leah and Ellis down first" Tarvan suggested and almost immediately took his phone and called Ellis. He told him to come over to the hospital immediately, there was an emergency.

Louis Hayden had gotten home and went to have a shower. He wasn't home the previous day and hence he came home early and fatigued.

He was feeling restless and uneasy. There's something bothering him but he cannot yet lay his hands on it. He felt his heart beating fast.

He was unhappy but he can only think of Pamela. His obsession was getting the better part of his concentration but even at that, he knew nothing was ever going to work out between them both.

He went downstairs for dinner but couldn't take a bite. Not comfortable, he decided to go to his study and attend to some mails before going to sleep.

Ellis and Leah were unhappy when they saw Dora. She's their granddaughter and meeting her in that state for the first time, makes them afraid of losing their granddaughter.

"The doctor said her blood group is rare. She needs an urgent transfusion after which she would undergo a heavy dose of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant…" Tarvan explained briefly.

"Louis blood type is also rare. But I don't know if he would agree to come" Ellis declared. He knows how his son had declared his decision to stay away from Pamela and her kids.

"Please do something father" Pamela pleaded and went to hold Ellis by his hand. She went to Leah and clasped her palms together "You know Louis would listen to you more than me.

You and father are the only ones that can bring Louis here by just calling his cell phone number. His daughter is dying and I can bear to see her give up.." Pamela started sobbing.

Leah couldn't believe this girl could become so humble. She really can talk like the Pamela she used to know?

Ellis and Leah exchange glances and the latter shrugged. What can she do when the child in question is her granddaughter.

"I'll call him," Ellis declared and called Louis. It rang twice before the latter answered his phone "Hey dad" Louis said immediately he answered his phone. His voice was down and low.

"I need you to come over to Chevron hospital now. There's an emergency" Ellis coaxed. But Louis asked why he should come.

"Your mother will explain" Ellis declared and gave the phone to Leah "Baby, come over please. Your daughter needs you and you know I can't bear to lose my granddaughter…"Leah's voice started choking as her tears started running down her cheeks.

"My daughter?" Louis asked and before his mother would answer, he hung up and got up quickly, getting back to his room,he took a designer Polo and a black jeans.

He strapped designer sandals on and called two of his bodyguards. One drove the car and the other was just sitting by the copilot's seat.

His daughter? He really was going to get to see and meet her? He was excited and at the same time worried. Why in a hospital, is there an emergency ?

"He will be here soon,"Leah declared and gave Ellis his phone back. She sniffled and Ellis held her. When are they going to be free from these endless issues that kept Leah always sobbing?

Louis Hayden was often seen dressed officially and in a suit. But coming out in a different look sends heads turning in his direction as soon as he stepped out of the car.

He really looked like the rich dude that he was. His cuteness was attractive and made both men and women admire him.

When he arrived at the hospital, he was going to ask the receptionist where he might find his parents when he sighted them by the corridor.

He saw his parents and then Pamela and her grandparents. He walked over to them, of course the receptionist allowing her eyes to linger on his handsomeness as he strode away from her desk.

"Mum, dad" Louis greeted, holding his mum in a warm embrace. Then he glanced at Johnson's "Hello Mrs Clarion and Mr Tarvan" completely ignoring Pamela.

The atmosphere was stiff. He really did not spare Pamela a glance? Is that how much he despised her?
