Nelly paused at what Lucas just said. She didn't expect him to call himself a fool like he just did, but whatever, he was actually a fool and a big one at that.

"Glad that you finally realised it" Nelly seconded to it. She turned to her fiance and said "let's go for a third round of fuck. You make me keep asking for more"

"Oh sure, baby. I am ever ready to serve you" he lifted her off her feet, and the latter circled her legs around his waist as he took her deeper into the room but off course, shutting the door loudly on Lucas' face.

Lucas stood before the door when the reality of what happened dawned on him. He stared at the closed door and shook his head.

He can't remember when he felt devastated to the extent that he sobbed. But that night, he sobbed. He couldn't control his emotions as he broke down sobbing.

This door he had shut in the past and fuck Nelly behind this same door. But at this moment of his life when things fell apart, she shut the door on his face and wouldn't let him in.

She had another companion. He was outdated and not useful anymore. He looked down at his suitcase and sobbed.

He needed to go somewhere and ease his tense mood. He decided since he's got a little money in his wallet, he would find a cheap hotel and lodge for the night.

He felt his knee wobble as he walked towards the elevator. The way up is from down, he would return down and start all over again.

He dragged his heavy heart which was weighing heavier than a bucket of sand at the moment. He needs to be alone now.

Lucas booked a hotel that is affordable and stayed up all night. In one-day, a lot had happened to him. The memory of that day's events will forever remain green in his heart.

Emma deceptively made him sign a document to his own ruin and detriment. How could a responsible adult not peruse a document before appending a signature?

And then he lost everything. Where was he going to start from? From the scratch and begin to set things straight. He let a night of sex and pleasure made him lose his guide.

He had been extremely careful around Emma. An ambitious woman like her was capable of doing anything and everything to make things work to her favour without blinking an eye on what the other might be going through.

But because they had a hot night of love making, his senses vanished away and took her at face value. He is a very stupid man.

But at least she eventually confesses to the truth that Albert isn't his son. He's someone else's. But was he truly impotent? He would go for a medical checkup to ascertain that.

And then Nelly of all people. She was double dating all along and he never knew it? How can he be so dumb not to notice this reality.

He only got to know because he was stranded and came over to put up with her. Otherwise, she would have met with him in the office and kept up the pretense.

Now, everything is clear and over. He got what he deserved. He had betrayed Pamela and he had been betrayed the same way.

He hurt her once, but he got it twice. That's what people like him deserve to get and that serves him right. He knew he had paid for his sins twofold more than he did.

He wasn't supposed to be offended. On the contrary, he should be glad it wasn't more than this. What if he had lost his life or become incapacitated, what would he be able to do then?

If one day, he ever gets a chance to set his eyes on Pamela, he would ask her to forgive him. If she can pardon him, then everything would be alright with him.

Next morning, Lucas woke up before dawn and took a quick bath. He dressed up and left the hotel. Since he has no car again, he has to get to the office early enough.

He got to the office and kept his luggage in a corner of his office. He started work immediately. No matter what happens, this job is all he's got left.

Nelly came to the office as usual. She was actually Lucas' secretary and expected that he would take it out on her, but contrary, he said nothing about it.

Lucas is a data analyst in a bank and he has climbed up the ladder to a managerial level. Nelly puffed up, she expected Lucas to either make life difficult for her or deal with her in his own way as her boss but he didn't.

Then she decided to be calm. He would come to her later and apologise, then ask her if they could continue their relationship. She would wait patiently for him to come back.

Same morning in the Hayden's Mansion, Pamela drove into the vast compound that belonged to Ellis and Leah Hayden.

But behind her was another car, she guessed that must be Louis. She had her assistant and two bodyguards who were always with her wherever she went.

As her Lamborghini Sian parked, Louis understood exactly what Romeo meant that she drove in the most expensive car. He parked his car and waited.

Her bodyguards alighted first and held the door for her to step out. Pamela already saw Louis but didn't give a damn. She gently stepped out delicately in a brown designer suit and pants.

Her hair was like that of the previous evening, long and curvy. She had a shade on and her bag was a match with her pair of high heeled cover shoes.

Her wristwatch was glittering, it's a diamond made and it goes with her pair of earrings. Her makeup was light with a red lipstick on.

Louis Hayden alighted and instructed his chauffeur to drive to the parking lot. He was dressed for office as well and decided to stop by to explain to his parents, just how he knew those quadruplets were his.

He didn't expect to see Pamela that morning. But seeing her, makes him feel that unexplainable satisfaction within him.

Louis was dressed in a black designer suit. His haircut was different from the one he carried the previous evening. This is his favourite style of haircut and it looks good on him.

Pamela walked ahead and as he arrived at the door to ring the doorbell, Louis came over and unlocked the door with his finger prints.

The door opened and Pamela didn't spare him a glance as she walked in. Her feminism was pulling Louis like a magnet with attraction.

She perceived his Aura and felt it intimidating. But that was in the past. She can no longer be intimidated by anyone but on the contrary, she would bring many down to their feet.

Louis went in after Pamela and shut the door. They were two alone in the sitting room and Pamela looked around, trying to see if Leah Hayden was anywhere around the sitting room or in the dinning.

The sitting room hadn't changed a bit. Everything remained the same way they were except the furniture. The gadget was not the same as five years ago, they've got the latest, just like her sitting room.

As expected of the classical family. They shouldn't have the same furniture and gadgets like the previous year. Every year comes with a different budget for things like that.

Louis took the time to initiate a conversation. "Mum doesn't have the habit of coming downstairs this early except she was expecting someone. Did she know you would visit this morning?" Louis asked.

Rather than answer, Pamela looked at her wristwatch. Then removed her shade and glanced at Louis, "I don't need any formalities. I can go to her bedroom to check on her"

Louis shrugged. "Pamela, I have a lot to say to you, but I guess now and here isn't the right place and time. But I guess I will see you in a few hours.." Louis was saying when Pamela brought out her phone.

It doesn't appear as if she was listening to him at all and Louis knew she was ignoring him. But then she has every right to do that.

"How are the kids doing?" Louis Hayden asked and Pamela glared at him sharply "Don't ever ask after my kids. The next time you do that, I will teach you a hard lesson" Pamela threatened.

She talks with so much air of arrogance. She doesn't have the time to talk nonsense to Louis. He was one of her primary targets and she would crush his ego.

"They are mine as well" Louis retorted back. Does she think he didn't know about the kids now? She sounded like she owned them exclusively.

Pamela's eyes turned to shades of different colours and she glared at Louis in fury "Watch your words Louis Hayden. It will bring disaster if I lose my temper" she warned and said aloud "I will visit Ms. Hayden next time" she declared and turned around.

Louis Hayden smiled, they would always meet each other henceforth. As long as those kids remain, they will soon get to know he is their father.

Pamela got to the office and first got busy. She signed a new deal with the partners who meet her standard and new products and services were being launched.

She got all the managers in the various departments and instructed them on what to do. If they must excel beyond their competitors, then, they must adopt new methods their rivals never used.

Everyone is to go home and sleep over it. Next day, they must present their suggestions in seeing the company gain more grounds.

And off course bonuses and incentives would follow. And if those ideas work well, a promotion will follow. When she was alone, she remembered Louis' words in the morning, they were his kids as well.

He doesn't have the right to a claim to kids whose existence he tried to terminate back then. She will see that he doesn't have access to them.

Her assistant came to inform her that someone was there to see her. It was almost lunch time and she won't be seeing anyone else for that day.

She asked the person to be allowed. The assistant nodded and went away. Few minutes later, a tall figure walked through the door and Pamela glanced at the door to see who walked in and her expressionless face turned into a frown.
