Chapter 32: Chapter 32

Louis arrived at the hospital and went to see the doctor. The doctor there was not the same doctor back then and he asked to check for the record of an abortion done, five years ago.

He gave the date and month of the day he brought Pamela for abortion and there was no record of abortion done that day.

He was told there was no abortion done. Not convinced, he asked if he could talk to the doctor. The new doctor was skeptical about releasing the contact info of a colleague but when Louis told him he meant no harm, he gave him the doctor's address.

Louis raced towards the address. He wants to hear from the horse's mouth that the abortion was not done. That he is the father of those quadruplets, Clarion talked about.

As Louis was going to find out the truth about those kids, Pamela stood with her back to the wall, her heart beating hard. She had a mixed feeling when she saw him.

She can't imagine that the thin looking Louis Hayden she was married to was the cute handsome dude she saw that evening. Though he had already recovered before she got separated from him, he wasn't this charming and handsome.

She hates him, no doubt. She would take revenge on him for what he did to her and said to her. But she must acknowledge the fact that he looked great despite looking so simple in his dressing.

He probably would have guessed that she had their kids. The kids were exclusively hers and he is not a part of their lives. She would ensure that he realizes that.

But if he didn't know about the kids and cared less if they existed or not, it would be better for them all. At least, she would concentrate on her company and the revenge on the other hand.

Bringing Louis into the picture and the kids were not part of her reasons to return to Oak City. But how will she handle Leah and Ellis Hayden?

She knew how important the pregnancy was to them back then. Now that she's meeting them again, how can she deny them the opportunity to meet their grandchildren?

How will she convince her grandparents to let her take the kids out for a ride or something without having a good number of bodyguards coming with her?

Leah Hayden would have said something already. But she had to keep telling her to be calm and not say a word. She must go to her first thing tomorrow morning before going to the company.

But Louis, has he now gotten married to someone of his class and status? He can't possibly remain single all these years.

Louis arrived at the address and requested to see the doctor. The securities asked him why he wanted to see the doctor so late at night.

But when he told them he was Louis Hayden of the Hayden cooperation, the men stepped back and asked him to go in. The doctor was already waiting in his sitting room when he heard someone had come to see him.

His colleague had told him the President of the Hayden's cooperation had requested for his address and he had given him.

He knew immediately why Louis was coming to see him. But he had to be transparent. He would apologize for any inconveniences this had brought into his life.

As soon as Louis got into his sitting room, he didn't bother to exchange pleasantries, he simply asked "Tell me, five years ago, I brought a woman to you for an abortion.

What happened, did you terminate the pregnancy or somehow, something came up and it wasn't done. Just tell me the truth" Louis requested.

The doctor sighed. "When the woman got to the theatre, she pleaded with me to spare the babies because they haven't done you or myself any bad.

But then, I examined her and saw that she had four pollen grains growing and already, because of the emotional state she was in, she was bleeding.

Threatened abortion might take place any moment. When I saw her tears, her pleas and her threatening that she would commit suicide, I had to spare her.

The bleeding would result in the loss of the pregnancy and then she would be rushed back to the hospital for evacuation. I'm sorry, I had to let her go on the promise that she should pretend that the pregnancy had been terminated…"the doctor was still explaining when Louis interrupted him.

"So, the pregnancy was not terminated. The babies were intact and spared by you, right?" He asked.

The doctor nodded. Louis hugged him tight and took his hands, forcing a handshake. "Thank you for this amazing news. Thank you so much" Louis appreciated and dashed out.

The doctor was dazed. He came to thank him for not doing what he paid him to do? Is this luck or chance?

Louis was now certain those kids were his. He didn't want to call his parents because they might still be with the royal family, hence he sent both of his parents a simple sentence: those quadruplets are mine.

Leah and Ellis were done and we're going to leave at that time. They thanked Clarion and Tarvan and said they would check on them again.

Clarion apologizes on behalf of Pamela. She said he might be busy with the kids and couldn't come over to see them off. She added that she would check Pamela's schedule and let her know if her free date tallies with Louis, so that the blind date can be fixed.

Leah said she looked forward to it. As they got into their car, they read Louis' message. Leah's mind was filled with excitement.

Clarion went to find Pamela, and she saw her reading a bedtime story to Dora. She sighed softly. She knew Pamela must have been busy not to have returned to them.

"Hi grandma, have the guests gone?" She pretended to be unhappy. And of course she saw them from the window. She peeped and saw them when they left and quickly came over to the kids room to make a proper excuse when her grandmother came looking for her.

"Yeah, they just left," Clarion replied. She was going to ask her if she's known them before when Pamela said "I wished to spend more time with them, especially Mrs Leah Hayden.

Since she's my mother's 'bestie', wouldn't it be nice if I can get a little closer to her and hear her tell a little of the things she knows about my mother?

She went emotional when she heard I am Alice's daughter. She sees me as if she was seeing her friend and it made me feel as if I know her through my mother too.." she said and her voice was shaky.

"It's alright. I do not object to it. But always be with your bodyguards. And would you mind going on a blind date with her son?" Clarion chipped in.

"I've said before that I don't need a man. Going on a blind date might Kindle some kind of hope of romance and I wouldn't like to be trapped in love affairs" Pamela objected.

"At some point, you need to give love a chance. I have already told Leah about the blind date. All I want you to tell me is when you would like it to be fixed" Clarion coaxed.

Pamela was quiet. She really needs to meet Louis and put him where he belongs. She shrugged at the idea and decided to agree to the blind date "Friday night, I'm free"

"Perfect. 7pm will be alright then. I will send a message to Leah, on Friday 7pm you both would meet" Clarion declared and kissed Pamela's temple and walked out.

As soon as her grandma left, Pamela sighed. What an act she put up. She would be able to see Louis and Leah Hayden soon.

Freddie had no other place to go than his brother-in-law Greg Freeman. Greg was Freya's elder. He welcomed Freddie and told him what happened that made him leave.

Greg was displeased with his sister's choice of lifestyle. She had tried to caution her but she had warned him to stay away from her family. If he was excellent in handling a family, why didn't he raise one.

It was insulting to Greg and he completely never got involved with Freya. Now seeing how devastated Freddie was, he told him he was welcome to live in his house as his brother.

But Lucas when he got to Nelly's place, he knocked and for a long time, there was no response. He called Nelly's cell phone number and she didn't answer it.

He has no spare key to the apartment. That was the mistake he made. He had told Nelly to give him a spare of her keys and she had said okay.

But he didn't remember to ask her for it nor had she given him since then. It's a penthouse and he bought it for Nelly as her birthday gift two months ago.

After waiting for thirty minutes, he seemed to hear footsteps approaching. He decided to knock again and the door was opened.

Standing in front of him was a man in boxers. His lips were swollen and there was hickey on his chest. The impression that the man's appearance gave him was obvious.

He looked at the apartment number again. This is Nelly's place. He can't be mistaken about it. He actually bought the apartment. This is the place.

But why is a man in her place? Looking do refreshed and well fucked. What is happening? Nelly is the only woman he has now, and he trusted her so much.

"Who are you?" Lucas finally asked. He looked at the tall man, who looked chubby and more like a giant standing at the front of the door.

"On the contrary, I should be asking you who you are?" The man replied looking at him disdainfully. A man comes to his fiancé's house and asks him who he is?

Lucas smells betrayal already. He shoved the man aside and wanted to get in when the latter brushed him aside with his elbow and Lucas hit the floor with his ass.

Nelly heard a "thud" sound and she walked over with a white towel around her chest. She saw Lucas and ignored him without any hint of surprise on her face.

"Are you alright baby?" Nelly asked, looking at her man and completely treating Lucas like air. Nobody advised Lucas and he stood up from the floor with great difficulty.

"I am fine. This intruder came and wanted to force himself in. I had to elbow him forcefully" he replied and Nelly tiptoed kissing his chin.

That act made Lucas speechless. Nelly also was cheating? She has an innocent look and appears fragile. She also cheats? He can imagine it.

"And you, you must be stupid to think you can come to my apartment and create a scene. You dare to create a tassel before my fiance?" She yelled at him.

"How can you do this to me Nelly? I showed you nothing but love and bought you this house…" Lucas was saying when Nelly shut him up.

"Just shut the crap. You expect me to love and marry a man like you who cheats on his wife. You claim to want to divorce your wife and get married to me.

Tell me what is the probability that you won't love another woman someday and leave me as well. You think everyone is stupid like you. You are a fool, Lucas" Nelly mocked.

Lucas stood speechless. Yes, he is stupid and a fool. Emma always asked him if he was a fool, he was ready to answer her question now, "yes, I am a fool".
