Chapter 99: Chapter 99

"That's it, I will not interfere with whatever Louis decides to do with you. You crossed every line when you endangered your son's life…" Ellis stuttered.

"Blame me however you want. You have refused to see through the lens I gaze through. I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do about it'' Leah concluded and cleaned her tears.

"How can you do this to me? Mom, what did I ever do to you that you did this to me? Everything Mrs Clarion said now makes a lot of sense to me!" Louis bellowed, glaring at his Mom with a killing intent.

"Louis…I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to turn out this way. Your wife took advantage of.." Leah was saying when Louis interrupted her.

"She's not my wife. I cannot Marry Miranda Alvan. Whatever happened in the past between us was a child's play, a dirty child's play.

But you really separated Pamela and I. You said you wouldn't let us get married. You said I should choose between you and her. I told you I chose her, because I loved her more.

You slapped me Mom, and I blackout. You took advantage of that and slipped into our world and split us. If you don't love Pamela, didn't you love me at least?

You are my mother. You gave birth to me and I expected that you would love me the most in this life. But no, your love was not real.

My son was born without me. My kids are near and I couldn't recognise them. My fiancée sees me everyday and yet I saw her as a lousy stranger. This is what you've done.

But I will not forgive you for ruining my life. I won't let this past for the rest of my life. I despise you now, Leah Hayden, Mom. I am no longer your son.

You are no longer my mother and I despise you greatly. We are strangers now. I severed ties with you and I will not step my foot in this house again.

Even if you die, I won't come for your funeral. I will come to see you in your tomb. My paths have ceased to cross. Stay in your world and I stay in mine, we are worlds aparts!!!" Louis declared.

"Louis, you should temper your utterances with your senses. You can't say such words to your mother. It's not just acceptable. She gave birth to you, at least give her that respect" Ellis cautioned.

He had returned to inform Leah that Louis had recovered and that spelled a red flag for her. They've even exchanged sharp utterances at each other.

But despite what he'd said before, he cannot hear his son say such words to his mother without cautioning him. No matter, motherhood is not something that should be despised.

"Are you going to educate me now, dad? Oh, so because she gave birth to me implies that she should dig my grave and order me to walk into it with my eyes open and then I should do so with delight because she gave birth to me.

She had lost that right from the moment she took away my greatest joy from me. She is not allowed to call me her son. I have said it, Leah Hayden is no more my mother.

And don't push me any further otherwise I will lose ties with you as well. You were there when she was acting as the Almighty and you didn't tell her that her actions will come with its consequences later on.

Why didn't you tell me that Pamela Grayson was my fiancée when she came to the hospital ward that day? You and I are seeing each other more often than your wife in the office. Why didn't you call me aside and whisper into my ears that she's my woman and the mother of my kids, why didn't you?

If you try to say anything to me again, I will sever my relationship with you as well. None of you would mean anything to me in this life again. So don't try to sermonise me" Louis bellowed.

Ellis couldn't take it and he looked away. He won't be able to take it if Louis also says such words to him. God knows he cautioned Leah as he should do.

But it was too late when he knew about the steps she'd taken. He would have stopped her if he knew early. Besides, he was so drunk with Miranda that nothing he would have said would have made any sense to him back then.

He was drunk with her and got her pregnant. He was intoxicated with her and got married to her. Whose fault was it? Why was he blaming anyone for what he'd done?

Louis didn't wait another minute but stormed off. He got into the car and cleaned his tears. He has to see Pamela. It's important that he sees him and apologises to her.

He'd gone too deep in his involvement with Miranda Alvan. Why wouldn't they just let him kill her and throw her remains in the sea. The sharks would have had a good feast on her bitchy remains.

Maybe he should call her. She might be willing to answer her phone now.

At Alyana's instructions, they brought out the items in the bag. It contains cute shirts and pants for babies. They were all designers and expensive ones.

"Could it be Louis?" Pamela asked. She glanced at her grandma and the latter shrugged.

That's very possible. Louis might send the clothes to his son. The chauffeur was called and he said a woman brought it to him that it's her belongings.

Pamela nodded and waved at him to go. It's Louis. He doesn't know how to come before her, hence he sent items to the baby.

There was an object, wrapped in a scarf. The scarf was blue and white. When Clarion saw it, her body shivered. This scarf, it seemed she'd seen it before.

When it was unwrapped, it contained a diamond bracelet. On the inner side of the scarf was written 'for my dear Pamela'

Clarion's eyes were fixed on the bracelet. It looked really familiar. Many years have passed but she is certain of it. She can't possibly see what has been with her for years without recognising it at first glance.

Where did this come from?
