Chapter 100: Chapter 100
She glared at it intently. It looked like hers. She gave it to her daughter when she left the royal house while pregnant.
It is a gift mothers give to their daughters when they give birth. It has run for a few generations already. She glared at it with fear clouding.
Her grandmother gave it to her mother and she got it from her. Then when Alice was leaving, she gave it to her. How did Pamela now have it?
No, it's just a coincidence. This is not that bracelet. It only looked like it, it's not it. But there's something unique about that bracelet that used to be hers, her grandmother's name was inscribed on it.
She'll look at it intently. If she could still find the name, then it's hers. But she definitely will not see it, because it can't be it; hers was gone with Alice.
"Helena," Pamela muttered.
Clarion glared at Pamela sharply. Her eyes welled up. Pamela turned to glance at her mother and their eyes locked. She saw her grandma's eyes moist.
"Helena? Give that to me" Clarion declared and took it from Pamela. For some minutes, Clarion glared at it. She saw the name on it. It's her bracelet. It's actually her bracelet!
In Middletown City, The first concubine went into labour. She was taken to the hospital. Tarvan waited. Out of excitement, he wasn't interested in knowing the gender of the baby.
He wants the news of a male child to hit him as a surprise. He waited for the news of her delivery. Few hours later, the royal midwife called to announce the arrival of the princess.
"Princess!" Tarvan asked as if the word 'princess' was a strange word. But then he thanked her and promised her a reward.
The ceremony followed and Tarvan named his newborn daughter after her royal mother Clarion. The baby's name is Clarion.
He called to inform Clarion that The first concubine had delivered a baby girl. But as usual, Clarion's contact wouldn't go through because she'd blacklisted him.
He called Alyana and asked about the queen. "Her majesty is in Ethan's room, she's helping him bathe" Alyana informed.
"Ethan?" Tarvan asked. He knows the names of his great grandkids. And the name Ethan is not part of it.
"Yes, your highness. Princess Pamela's new baby is Ethan" Alyana replied politely. He would have informed his highness but it's not her place to do it. It's the queen that would do that.
"Pamela has a baby?" Tarvan asked, completely surprised. Pamela was really pregnant when Clarion went to Oak City?
"Yes, your highness. Baby Ethan is nine days old" Alyana replied. She felt guilty. She perceived the surprise in King Tarvan's words. He's lost behind in the princess' life.
"Tell the queen that the first concubine had given birth. I named the baby after her. She's the baby's mother and she would be glad to see her" Tarvan left a message and hung up.
What is Clarion trying to do? What does she mean by not telling him that his granddaughter has a baby? How can she cut him off from Pamela's life?
She's his granddaughter as well. He cared about her as much as she did. He loves her too. This is unfair, this is not right.
But then, how did Pamela cope without Louis Hayden by her side? Who is the father of her baby? Was it Louis or someone else?
This is what he'd tried fighting against but Clarion wouldn't understand. How can Pamela have five kids out of wedlock? She's a princess, a royalty doesn't live like this.
What is her financial life like? He would retrace his steps because of her. He would release her finances to her. She needs to be financially capable to take care of herself and her kids.
Alyana placed her phone down and sighed. Why is the royal mother not in contact with the King? This shouldn't continue. This is not alright.
She went to Ethan's room and saw that he had taken a bath and his great grandma was swinging him gently in his cot.
Pamela was making a milk express to feed him. Clarion said she sometimes prefers a milk express because Pamela might not always be around. He needs to get used to expressing milk.
Alyana knocked and walked in. She glanced at Ethan and smiled, touching his soft chin "my honey muah" she blew him kisses.
Clarion smiled. With Alyana by her side, they would look after Ethan as his nannies. The four kids have nannies already. But Clarion will remain their grand nanny.
"Your majesty, his highness called and left a message" Alyana informed and paused. She bowed her head and wouldn't dare look at Clarion's face.
Pamela snapped her head up and glanced at her grandma. But the latter wasn't showing interest in what Alyana said. She just glared at her little Ethan and smiled.
"What did grandfather say?" Pamela asked. She had completely forgotten. She hadn't called her dad since he requested her to call him.
Neither did she inform him about the birth of her son. Oh gosh! Whatever grandfather had done to her, shouldn't make her behave this way towards him.
"The first concubine had given birth to a princess. She'd taken the name of her mother Clarion. His majesty would be glad if you could come and see your baby" Alyana relayed the message.
Pamela's eyes went teary. Grandfather's concubine had given birth? Her grandma needs to go, especially now that the baby is named after her.
Alyana waited but Clarion wasn't showing any excitement about the news. She glanced at Pamela and said "My baby needs to be fed now"
Pamela nodded. She's gotten enough milk to feed him that night. She got into a feeding bottle and gave it to her grandma.
Clarion carried Ethan on her thighs and raised his head a little before feeding him. She was smiling broadly at the boy as he started sucking the milk in.
"Grandma, Alyana said…" Pamela was saying when Clarion interrupted her "Go to rest for the day, my dear. May your dreams be sweet" and turned her gaze back on Ethan.
