Chapter 79: Chapter 79
Leah Hayden snapped her head up. She can recognise the voice from a distance. Her heart beats faster. She just hopes before everything gets better, she won't develop a severe high blood pressure.
"Yes, I'll inform her" The servant said and went in. Leah would have told her to say no if she had known that it's Clarion at the door.
She nodded and the servant went to hold the door for Clarion Johnson to walk in. Just then, Louis drove in through Hayden's giant gate.
He wants to talk to his mom first. She probably would be able to answer a few of his questions. Then he would merge it with whatever Romeo would tell him.
He parked his Porsche and saw a latest Rolls Royce Phantom parked. There's a guest and the person must definitely be from the aristocrats class.
"Aunt Clarion" Leah Hayden said, coming over to hug Clarion but the latter raised her hand and stopped her midway.
"Leah Hayden, I am not hypocritical. I don't accept a hug of deceit. Hug me from the front and then, stab me at the back. Smiling broadly at me,but watching me bleed to death.
When did you become like this?" Leah asked and paused. Unknown to any of them, Louis arrived at the door and heard a certain person's last sentence. He paused, placed his hand on the door knob but wouldn't turn it.
"I don't believe you can deteriorate in humanity to this extent. You deteriorated and caused more harm than any good you have ever done.
Why did you hate Pamela so much? What did she do to deserve this behaviour of yours towards her? Why did you separate her from Louis? Why did you turn two hearts in love to go against each other?
Didn't you know that people who do that live the rest of their lives in regret of what they've done? Don't you know that?
But you went a little further and made her lose her hair. Her long beautiful hair was gone because you dragged her by her hair and pulled her on the floor for coming to see Louis in his unconscious state.
Did she do wrong to fall in love with Louis? Why did you treat her like that? My granddaughter became bald, thanks to you.
If you detest Pamela so much, what about your own son, did you also detest him? You know he loves Pamela alone and yet, you deprived him of his happiness simply because he lost his memory?
Which mother does that to her own son? Why did you do that to Louis, he deserves to be happy at least. But no, you arrange a woman for him and she goes about faking herself as his fiancée and getting married to him.
You are happy now, right? You have a great daughter in law. I wish you what you wished yourself, Leah. And I'm sure you read the scandal that broke out.
You know that my granddaughter doesn't deserve any of those horrible comments said about her. But thanks to your amazing daughter in-law who sponsored the scandal.
She did it to make Pamela appear as the villain and the third party in her relationship with Louis. The real villain is the hero and she acted as the victim. But my granddaughter sobbed her eyes out in her innocence.
Pamela is innocent. She is heavy with Louis' child and would deliver any moment soon. But in that state, she sobbed until she had no more strength in her, do you think you will ever wash yourself clean in this life?
Pamela is Alice's daughter. Her mother was your 'bestie' many years ago. But I guess after Alice died, all your memories about her, the bond of friendship, everything also died…" Clarion declared and paused.
Leah's eyes welled up with tears and she started sobbing. She clasped her hands together like someone apologising.
She wanted to ask Clarion to forgive her. That she's sorry for causing Pamela so much pain but her words choke in her throat. She couldn't say them.
On the other hand, Louis' feet froze at that point. His mom was the reason he fell out with Pamela? Though he still doesn't remember a thing about Pamela, what he'd heard was enough to know that he was in love with her.
And to know that she's pregnant with his child is eating him up. They have Quadruplets and now, she's pregnant with his child again. Gosh! What has he brought upon himself by being married to Miranda Alvan?
"I only want you to know that Pamela will overcome this phase. She will be strong again and when she does, her misery will be over and your pain will pang you for the rest of your life.
Pamela is a princess, the gorgeous princess of Middletown City. She has her grandfather, the King and I am her grandma as well.
I will take care of my granddaughter, the Quadruplets and the unborn baby. It's unfortunate that her paths cross with yours and that of your son in this life.
She definitely would be lucky in her next life not to ever set eyes on you again. But if she decides to get a restraining order against Louis from seeing or owning the kids, don't blame her, don't call her a toxic woman.
I will tell her not to ever mention you to the kids as their grandmother. I don't want the enmity to cross from a generation to another…" Clarion declared and turned around, bolting the door open.
Leah dashed forward to hold Clarion's hands when she saw that her son was at the door. Clarion stared at him intently, not moving but glaring at him with an expressionless face.
Louis only locked eyes with her once and looked away. He felt like sobbing. This woman is Pamela's grandmother. He doesn't know how to face her.
He glanced at his mother and his eyes went red immediately. Louis just stared at his Mom, unable to say anything.
"How are you doing Louis?" Clarion asked, glaring at him from his head to toes. Not knowing whether to be furious with him or not. Somehow, he is innocent, just found himself tangled up in the mess his mom had created.
"I'm trying to be fine, ma'am" he said, bowing slightly before Clarion. He didn't recognise her but he knows now that she's definitely one of those important people in his lost memory.
"Hmmm" Clarion hummed and walked past him. How can he be fine, his mother had taken the fineness away and threw it into the abyss.
As soon as Clarion walked away, Louis glared at his Mom and said "everything that woman said was true, right?"
