Chapter 78: Chapter 78

It wasn't quite an hour, a doctor came out and Louis went to him "Doctor how is she?" he asked.

The doctor glanced at him and said "she would be fine. President Hayden, are you in any way related to her? I mean to ask, who is her husband?"

"She's my wife," Louis declared. He was interested in what happened to Miranda, why is the doctor asking him such a question.

"You?" The doctor asked and squinted. He was in surgery for the most part of yesterday. He heard about the trending news. Oh, is Louis Hayden right?

"Yes, is there a problem?" Louis asked. Did he also know a thing? He is getting more confused than before. Why was he staring at him that way?

"No, everything is fine. The mother is out of danger now but the baby, her pulse is weak and she has been transferred to Neonates…" the doctor explained.

Soon other doctors stepped out and two nurses wheeled Miranda Alvan out of the theatre. Louis saw her and went to hold her hand, giving it a soft squeeze.

After settling her in a ward, Louis went to see his daughter. She was so tiny and was kept in an incubator. He glanced at the little girl and smiled.

"You'll make it my baby. You'll surely make it" Louis said, glaring at his daughter from the transparent glass. He is happy. At least, he and Miranda have a baby now.

Then he went to see the paediatric doctor who talked to him a while ago. As soon as he sat down, the doctor glared at him, something was wrong with Louis Hayden.

"My baby is going to be fine, right?" Louis asked. He is not comfortable with the doctor. He seemed to be surprised when he told him that Miranda was his wife.

"She'll be fine. She's due to be delivered in two weeks. But thank God she scaled through. If this happens a few days before today, she wouldn't be able to make it…" the doctor explained.

Louis nodded and said "Thank you for saving my daughter" Louis appreciated, feeling relieved and excited. His baby will be fine and they'll go home.

"How's Dora?" The doctor asked and Louis' smile disappeared. He glared at the doctor, lost at the question he asked.

"Dora, who is Dora?" Louis asked and became sad. A grown man like him should be asked a question and he would look lost.

"Your daughter, Dora Hayden. She had leukaemia some time ago…" the doctor suddenly paused. Something is not right.

"I don't remember anything, doctor. I'm suffering from amnesia. I can't remember a thing about some parts of my past. I can't even remember meeting you before" Louis opened up.

"That's it. I suspected it was so. You stare at me as if you do not recognise me. Dora is the only girl among your Quadruplets. She had leukaemia back then and you saved her with your rare blood type.

Besides, what are you doing about it? Have you gone to see a specialist?" The doctor inquired.

Louis countenance had gone sad. Quadruplets? So those kids were indeed his. He has Quadruplets? Why wouldn't anyone tell him so all these months?

"They are my kids with Pamela, right?" He asked and the doctor was speechless. Didn't any one of his parents tell him about his past?

Anyways, that's not his business. He is a doctor and knows next to nothing about the relationship and closeness he shared with his parents and friends.

"Yes, your kids with Princess Pamela" he said and didn't say anything else about that. He told him his baby would be alright in a couple of days, a week or two weeks was enough for the baby to fully recover.

The doctor glared at the retreating back view of Louis. What is wrong? He doesn't even remember that he has a daughter? What about the beautiful mother of his kids, he left her and married this other woman?

Louis didn't even answer his last question. He would have referred him to a specialist in that area.

Louis returned to the hospital ward, and glanced at Miranda Alvan. Is she the third wheel, is she the one that split him and his kids' Mom apart?

He remembered back then that Pamela called her his partner that he cheated on her with. Did she take advantage of him? Or is it that she doesn't know that he has kids with someone else?

He doesn't feel like staying by her side at that moment. He had just returned from Turkey. But he's heard enough that day already to know that there was more to his life from the past six years than he had thought.

He must find Romeo and ask him some questions. No wonder his parents and Romeo, the closest people to him don't want to congratulate him on his wedding nor were moved when he told them Miranda was in an emergency.

"Take turns and stay by her side" Louis declared. He gave the servants more instructions and then left. What is wrong with him, his kids?

That evening, a Bugatti Chiron drove into the vast compound of the Hayden's Mansion. The chauffeur alighted in the parking lot and Queen Clarion stepped out of the car dressed in a long queen's gown

She walked elegantly towards the front door and rang the bell. Leah was in the sitting room while one of the servants went to get the door.

The door opened and Queen Clarion Johnson asked "Is Leah Hayden home?"
