Chapter 47: Chapter 47

Grand nanny whispered something in a hushed voice to Alyana and the latter nodded. She told her to bring out the golden coloured box from under her bed and Alyana did.

With a few more instructions, Alyana left and took the box along with her. Grand nanny sighed in relief. She had fulfilled Alice's desire, she guessed.

Now, Pamela will get a little of all that belonged to her. She wanted to give it to her on her grandfather's coronation, when she would be made the crowned princess, the next heir to the throne of the Middletown City.

But that day had passed but Pamela wasn't allowed to witness it. She might die any moment soon and what will happen to the entire wealth that Alice gave her to keep?

Clarion was in her chambers, dressed in her night dress when the chief maid brought in sweet incense to her and bowed before her.

"His highness the King requests your presence in his chambers" she said with her knees and her head bent .

Seeing the sweet incense and the beautiful scent it emits was enough to know that Tarvan had invited her to his chambers.

But this is never going to happen. She is not interested in seeing Tarvan or coming to his chambers. She glared at the sweet incense and chuckled softly.

"Thank you, you can leave the sweet incense on the desk against the wall" Clarion instructed.

The maid replied "as your majesty wishes" and left it where she was instructed. She left and Clarion shut her door from within.

King Tarvan waited for hours until midnight but Clarion didn't come. He sent another servant to know what is keeping her majesty from coming over.

When the servant returned, she said her majesty had shut her Chambers from within and the light was gone off.

Tarvan felt humiliated. How dare Clarion keep him waiting in vain? He nodded and went back to his chambers.

In Oak City, Miranda Alvan snuggled into Louis. The latter held her close and kissed her. He caressed her belly and asked if the baby had begun to kick.

"Oh no, not so early. Maybe in a few months time" Miranda replied. She wished things could remain like this forever. She and Louis are living together forever.

But she's glad the doctor accepted her offer. Romeo rejected it but someone who knows how to treat a lady accepted her generosity.

He had assured her that Louis would remain that way. He would never remember a thing as long as she gives him the new medication.

He changed his medication. And gave Louis a mere antidepressant. Rather than being depressed and concerned about the past, he would feel happy and agile, not giving a damn about whether he remembers or not.

And true to his words, Louis hadn't told her he remembered anything. If this really works as she wants, she would remain by his side forever.

Pamela and her kids will be forced to live their lives alone. She owns Louis and everything he's got. His handsomeness and charm belongs to her and Leah Hayden wouldn't even be able to do anything about it.

"Miranda" Louis called, caressing her and kissed her. They needed to talk.

"I'm with you honey," Miranda Alvan replied. She raised her chin and glared up at him, smiling broadly.

"I want us to get married. What do you think? I don't want the baby to be born out of wedlock" Louis suggested.

Miranda couldn't believe her ears. Louis was ready to get married to her? She's more than happy to hear that. But she has to ensure she has won his heart before agreeing to it.

" I would love to. But let's take our time. I want you to get to know how much we are in love with each other first before talking about marriage.

And of course, we will be getting married before the child is born. That would make us a complete family. That's what I think" Miranda replied.

"Alright, as you wish. I will only do what makes you happy" Louis agreed.

That night, while Louis and Miranda ended up making love, Pamela was awake, making research on possible ways on how Louis could get back faster to who he used to be.

She made research on the best specialist from a famous country. She was willing to sponsor them to come over to Oak City.

Taking Louis over there might be difficult. But if she could make them come over, she wouldn't mind. She is ready to shoulder the cost.

That way, she would plead with Romeo to persuade him and bring him over for the appointment. After he'd been examined and gotten the medication, the specialist can return while her fiance will get alright.

She glanced at the ring Louis gave her. It was glittering. She touched her belly, where a tiny human was breathing. Louis' baby is there, that child she conceived out of love.

The symbol of their love for each other. They would have been happy, but his mother wouldn't let them be. She doesn't know just how much Mrs Leah hated her until now.

Pamela jotted a few things and thought of how best she could see Louis. Staying away from Louis is like living in hell to her.

Pamela was able to check records of doctors who have excelled in the field of psychiatric medicine. With any of these great specialists, Louis' recovery will be fast forwarded.

That night, for the first time in a long while, Freya Grayson was worried about her foster daughter. She decided to call her.

When Pamela saw it's her mother that was calling, she wouldn't answer her phone. The last people she wants to talk to at that moment are Grayson's family members.

Besides her uncle Greg, no one else in that family that she missed. Greg Freeman is a great man and she would visit him when all of this is over.

The next morning, Pamela went to the company. She had just settled into her office when her secretary told her that she had a visitor.

Someone want to see her? Who?
