Chapter 147: Chapter 147

Pamela and Leah glanced at the direction of the door at the same time and saw Louis standing with Ethan in his arms. He tries to distract Ethan, but he doesn't know how to calm him.

He'd never done it before. He had never watched his kids grow. Holding Ethan was like a dream come true. He was holding his own baby.

He walked closer. They have seen him standing already. The women gradually stood up with Pamela giving Leah a hand.

Pamela carried Ethan. She was going to leave when Leah said "please don't leave yet, Pamela. Talk to Louis. You both should talk to each other.

There's a lot to talk about. I will take Ethan and wait in the car for you. Please, both of you, make up. That's the only thing I want right now"

Louis looked remorseful. Leah was looking more remorseful than her son. Pamela glanced at Louis and then his mother. She was thinking about what to do.

Leah gently took Ethan away from her and kissed the boy affectionately. Her tears dropped on his chin and she cleaned it up quickly.

"We'll wait for your parents in the car okay, honey" she said and was leaving. She was happy. Pamela let her carry her grandson. It means things were taking shape.

"Ask Romeo to take you out. All elevators have been locked except one" Louis Hayden advised and turned his gaze from his mom to Pamela.

The latter looked down, fiddling with her fingers like a teenager when Louis said "I don't know what to say, Pamela. I don't know the words to use to apologise to you.

I wish there were words that carry more heart content and remorse besides the word SORRY, I would have used it.

Please forgive me. I'm sorry about everything you went through. Everything I made you go through. I'm sorry. I wish it didn't happen this way…"Louis apologised.

"It's alright Louis. I forgive you. It doesn't mean that I won't punish you for hurting me and the kids. I will punish you but I have forgiven you" Pamela replied.

Louis smiled at Pamela's words. Whatever punishment she wants to give him, he would take it heartily provided she had forgiven him.

They glared at each other and Louis gradually took a few steps towards her, and caressed her hair. He held her in a long tight hug.

Pamela inhaled the smell of his body. She missed him. Miranda possessed his body too much longer than it should have. Everything got complicated and it broke her fragile heart.

She tried to hold back her tears but couldn't. She sniffled and swallowed hard. Louis heard her sniffle and knew she was remembering the past, she was remembering everything.

He heard her words a while ago. He held her closer and caressed her back. He robbed his lower jaw against her hair, taking in the smell of her feminism. She's different from her, there's a gap between her and Miranda.

The connection flowed. Love is easily expressed. It wasn't a forced feeling. He wasn't trying to develop the love and painstakingly created a connection and a bond that has refused to flow.

Everything is natural here. His heart belongs to her. His emotions are clouded with the thoughts of her. His joy is imbibed in their connection. He could feel it already.

He didn't know how long they stood, each having their own thoughts but Pamela sniffled again and said "It hurts, Louis. Everything hurts me the most" she said.

"I know you are at the receiving end of the whole shit that happened. But it's all my fault. If I hadn't lost my memory, none of these would have happened.

I'm sorry you have to experience cruelty in its toughest form. I'm sorry that you have to watch me with Miranda Alvan acting before you.

I'm sorry that I made love to her and gave her my body to the fullest, I'm sorry that you have to imagine me in bed with another woman. I'm sorry for everything I did to hurt you.." Louis pleaded.

Pamela's hands caressed his back. She didn't know when she held him tighter than he held her. It was like she was going to merge into him. She missed him too much.

Her hand lingered to his long hair and she said "This hair makes you look more handsome, my love" and chuckled.

Louis smiled and said "Thank you, love" he gently pulled her away from his body and cupped her face, towering over her.

Pamela smiled. She looked at Louis' grey eyes, his pinkish lips and his V-shaped jaw lines. No wonder, Miranda wants to own him forever.

Any woman will want to own such a man. So sweet. Cute and charming. Her sons are also like that. Such cute little 'Louises' in her Mansion.

She kept her gaze on him. Louis stared into her eyes, her lips and he swallowed hard. He missed her and everything about her.

Gently, his lips were getting closer to her lips and Pamela closed her eyes. She was going to get kissed again after several months. She would feel his sweetness after over a year.

His lips crashed on her and she opened up to him. She'd been expecting him. She crossed her hands around his neck and kissed him.

The kiss was passionate. It's the kiss of a reunion. They were engrossed in it, both hungry for the other. Louis held her body against him with one hand and supported her back head with the other.

They remained in each other's arms when suddenly, Pamela pulled out of the kiss and pushed Louis off.

Louis was lost. What happened? He squinted, his lips now pinkish than before and Pamela just glared at it. A fury surged within her.

"Is this how passionate you kiss her?" She demanded. She imagined he was holding Miranda Alvan so intently and kissing her sweetly without holding back.

Louis looked away speechless. She's still hurt. She's imagining him kissing that whore. How will he answer her question?

"Let's go" he suggested, trying to take her hand but Pamela pulled her hand away "I asked you if this is how you kiss her?"

"What do you want that information for? It will only send you back to the pain of the past. Please, Pam, this is a new us, let's forget about the unpleasant past and concentrate on us and our kids.

I love you Pamela and you know it. Why bring up the name of that characterless woman here? I don't want to hear her name please" Louis mumbled.

Pamela perceived the sincerity in his tone. She crossed her hands around him and placed her head on his broad chest, "Will I ever be able to erase you and Miranda off my mind?" She asked helplessly.
