Chapter 146: Chapter 146

Pamela didn't have the slightest idea that Louis was watching from a distance. She cleaned her tears and sniffled.

It wasn't because of what uncle Ellis had done to his wife, it's because she remembers how she had also sobbed because of what Louis had done to her. It hurts.

The pain Leah was going through, wasn't in any way inferior to what she went through. It's a heartbreak. A soul poking wound. It hurts terribly, she knows because she'd been there too.

"I know how you feel, Aunt. I also experienced it when I knew the intimacy between my fiancé and Miranda Alvan. It hurts me, my heart broke into several shreds.

I know exactly how it felt. The man you love with all your heart cheats on you with another woman and even has a baby or makes her pregnant, you feel he has poked the most delicate part of your heart and it may never get healed in a long time.

When I realised that Louis was making love to Miranda Alvan, I also lost my sanity. I went to confront him and he didn't even deny it. He was proud that he gave his body to her.

Then I remembered how intimate we were always when we made love. That inner promise that comes with the pleasure your partner and lover has given you makes you see yourself as the most important person to him.

I remember Louis' Moan of ecstasy, my moans of pleasure and satisfaction, all mixed up in the bed of love making, clinging intimate with him and wanting more of his thrusting.

When I picture Miranda Alvan doing that to him rather than me, being there and possessing his body, I feel my blood pressure rise. I feel I am lost, I am completely finished…"Pamela was imagining and her tears running down her cheeks now.

Leah's sob became louder. She was truly imagining what Pamela was saying. Ellis was with another woman for several years and she didn't know?

He does that to her and she has no idea he was cheating? They've been together since college. They got married after they left the university and besides him, she hadn't slept with another man ever.

But he did that to her. Ellis would always tell her she's a sweet woman and he couldn't imagine life without her. Even till that morning, they still make love and he would moan softly, saying she hadn't really declined in her sweetness and ability to satisfy him.

So it was all lies! He was imagining that woman, his mistress whenever he was with her. Did she make him more comfortable than her? Can she fuck him, making him more excited than she'd ever done?

Or perhaps, it's because she couldn't have other babies after Louis. It wasn't her fault. She really wanted to have more but she couldn't conceive.

He saw her worries back then and told her to be calm. He was alright with the son they had. They only needed to raise their son to be responsible and make them proud.

But he was deceiving her to get her calm, relaxed and confident in him. He was already involved with another woman and was giving his body to her. How can Ellis do this to her?

Her sobbing was loud. Louis heard everything Pamela said. He felt ashamed. He understands that he really hurt her. How he wished he could turn back the hands of time, none of these would have happened.

"...my case was worse when I heard about Louis' wedding with Miranda Alvan. I was hoping that he would return to me as soon as he recovers his memory.

But rather than seeing my hope coming through, things got complicated further. He tied the knot and sealed his relationship with her.

At that moment, I knew I lost the man I love to another woman and I cannot fight for his love, I couldn't take him away from the woman who snatched him from me.

You know why, because he doesn't know me. He cannot remember me. His memory is blank about me and my kids. I thought I would die. In fact, until I opened my eyes in the hospital, I had thought I was dead.

But time has gradually healed my wound. I am 70% healed of my wounded heart. When I held Ethan in my arms, it seemed to me that I held Louis.

I didn't remember the pains and betrayals of the past. I only felt happy to see my little Louis in my arms. He compensated me. He took away the hurt of his father.

You will heal again, Aunt. This phase in your life and marriage will pass and you will be happy again. Your son and grandchildren will help to hasten the healing.

Sob as much as you like today. Clean your tears and sleep. And when you wake up tomorrow, it will be a new dawn. I hope you will be able to accept the reality that you have step children.

I hope you will be able to forgive uncle Ellis. And let that feeling of love in your heart towards him never die off. You will be tempted to hate him.

But please, don't hate him. For Louis' and the kids sake, don't hate him. When he comes to apologise to you, forgive him…"Pamela was saying when Leah sniffled and said "No, Pamela.

I can never forgive him in this life. Till death, I will never forgive Ellis. Our pains might have appeared similar, but there are some differences in them.

Louis is thirty and we were lovers for four years before Louis was born. It's not exactly the same. A man I have loved for over three decades did this to me?

How can I not hate him, huh? Can you see what he did to me? He cheated and had a child with his mistress. They must have been dating before she conceived his child.

Not one child, Pamela. It's two kids. It's a deliberate thing. He loves her. A man can't have two kids with a woman he doesn't love.

All the love he professes towards me were all lies, deception. I had been a fool for more than half of my life here on earth, loving a man that doesn't truly deserve it. So pathetic of me.

How can I not hate him? I tried to have more kids after Louis, but it wasn't working. He said he was okay with Louis. But he was having kids with his mistress.

What is my gain now? I have a son and the mistress has a son and a daughter. Who do you think really owns Ellis between us both?" Leah demanded amidst tears.

"I understand you Leah Aunt," Pamela said. At that moment, she couldn't think of anything else. She understands her, that's it, that's all she could say

"Yes, you understand me partially. Louis is true and faithful to you. Whatever happens between him and Miranda was done at a time when he doesn't remember who you are to him.

He was with Miranda Alvan because I arranged it to be so. It's not Louis who cheated and betrayed you, it was me, Pamela. Please, it was me.

Don't hold it against him. He is a good guy and he loves you. Whatever he does to you before and after he loses and recovers his memory is what you hold against him.

But Ellis was not so. He was deliberate. He did it to possibly have more children or he discovered that he loves this mistress more than me. What if they've always been together even when we were not married.

It's possible that he only married me because of my money and assets. Ellis married me and kept pretending that he loves me. Hayden's cooperation came to be through me. I own the company and that's why only Louis can decide what happens there because he is my son.

Forgive me Pamela. I want you to forgive me. Louis is innocent. Take out your fury on me but not on him. Please I beg you, forgive me" Leah concluded.

She raised herself to kneel before Pamela with her hands clasped together in tears and reddened eyes. Pamela also kneeled, the two women now sobbing.

All her grievances were gone at that moment. She wants her relationship with Leah to be back to normal like it was before she left Oak City with the Quadruplets in her belly.

They hugged each other and Louis felt his emotions let Loose. He felt he was going to join in the sob. He would have remained there, watching the women until Ethan's baby wail attracted the women's attention.
