Chapter 148: Chapter 148

"Our happiness depends on you forgetting it. Please do it for the kids sake. Forgive me entirely and let's build our lives together and our home…"Louis coaxed.

Pamela intertwined her fingers with Louis' and nodded. She saw the helplessness in his eyes. There isn't anything he can do to erase his past with Miranda Alvan.

Louis smiled faintly. This would be a dent in his relationship with her. In the nearest future, there are things she might say that would sweep that wind of guilt across his mind.

How he wished he could do something or anything to wash his sins off. How can he tell his kids when they grow up that he did something so despicable to their Mom, it hurts.

As Louis led the way through the elevator, they arrived at the down floor of Hayden's cooperation. There were few securities on stand by and when they sighted Louis, they composed themselves.

"Albert, ensure that no one goes in or out of this building without my permission. I have my eyes on you all," Louis declared and walked away.

"Has uncle Ellis gone with his…''Pamela trailed off. She doesn't want to use the word mistress and she couldn't think of another adjective to use.

"He would remain in the conference room with his mistress and kids for the night. I'm still thinking of how best to punish him for hurting my Mom so much" Louis declared and he felt his conscience pricked him too.

"That's not the best way to handle him. Besides you knew about it and didn't tell your Mom" Pamela reprimanded him.

"I had Romeo investigate my suspicion before I lost my memory. He got the report but kept it safe until I recovered. When I did, I knew what happened but then, I did not care about anything.

I was upset with my mother because she split us up. So I kept mute about it until I got my fiancée back. It's not like I've known for a long time" Louis explained.

They got to the car and met Alyana holding Ethan playfully. Pamela went to her and said "I'll just let him suckle a little" she declared, holding her baby in her arms.

"He's so patient and calm. Louis used to be like that when he was a baby," Leah commented. She's so impressed how certain traits become obvious in offspring.

They all chuckled aloud. Alyana did not, she couldn't raise her head to talk or laugh when the high class people are talking..

"We need to leave now!" Louis declared as a matter of urgency. He sighted a van of journalists struggling to break into the premises. A scandal was about to break out.

Everyone was dazed and without another word, Louis ordered "Get into my car, Pamela" and pulled her by the hand. Quickly, he got her into the car as the van found its way into the premises.

"This way, President Hayden is here…" he heard someone screaming. Pamela got into the car and he handed the baby to her.

"Boss, get inside," Romeo screamed. He was holding back some of the journalists. Louis nodded and slipped in.

From the top floor of the company, Ellis saw what was happening. It's over. The scandal will have an effect on Hayden's cooperation. It will shake it more vigorously than he could ever be able to predict.

Leah got into the car and pulled Alyana along. She knew she's Pamela's baby nanny. She must be safe too.

Pamela was shivering. She was looking out of the tinted and bullet proof car. So soon, the scandal is already out and these scavengers couldn't wait until the next morning?

Louis was making a call. He was calling the superintendent of Police. They needed to come around before his security guards would start using the bullets in their guns.

Pamela glanced at Louis, he was so calm and was talking flippantly with the officers. This is unprofessional. These men can't just barge into a premises like some hooligans and come after him.

"I hope your boyfriend is not behind this? Because if he does, I will fight back and ruin him" Louis demanded as soon as he finished talking with the police.

He glanced at Pamela, his eyes hiding fury in them. That Fred Meyer dares not mess around with him. He is from Middletown City and he would teach him a hard lesson that he would dispel himself and return to his origin.

Pamela turned and glared at Louis. Why is he insinuating that Fred Meyer sent men after them? He couldn't possibly have done that.

"Stop insinuating. Fred Meyer is not that kind of a man" Pamela snapped at him. She's trying to pull down her zipper and breastfeed her son.

"I know you will stand in his defense. But I said 'if' he is behind this, I haven't said he is behind it. You should listen between words" Louis retorted.

It's not easy to have gotten involved with two men or women in someone's life, you may tend to support the one that you love the most.

Pamela looked away. He is sounding jealous of Fred. It's the same with men as women. Until a distinct line is drawn, the battle for supremacy will keep striving.

The security guards were holding the men back. But it seemed they came in their large numbers. The car that Leah and Alyana got into took off with a loud noise, scaring the mob backwards.

"Move" Louis ordered his chauffeur as well and he took off as well. The men parted ways and the car passed. They crowded round the car and hit the screen that Louis should roll down the glasses.

Louis just sat calmly in the car. He had his Bluetooth on and was talking to Romeo. Dishing out instructions to him and ordering him. He hopes Romeo gets out of this mess alive.

He expected the police to be approaching already. He glanced at Pamela and saw Ethan was no longer sucking. He took him away from her and placed him on his thighs.

Ellis tried talking to Leah, to ask her if she's out of harm's way but the woman wouldn't answer her phone.

Leah kept ignoring her husband's call. After what he did, he could still call her? Where is his conscience? As a matter of fact, Leah hadn't stopped sobbing.

"Drive to princess Pamela's place" Louis instructed the chauffeur. This stiffness in the air means they need to nourish their feelings again.

As the chauffeur kept going, two bodyguards were following in another car. Romeo had arranged for it. President Hayden might be pressed out of pressure if left alone.

As they arrived at the gate, Louis asked "when are you breaking up your relationship with Fred Meyer?" He wants to know that she's not involved with him anymore.

"Fred Meyer is my friend, that's all" Pamela replied, trying to get Ethan away from his dad. Louis held him firmly and Pamela couldn't carry him.

"What kind of relationship did you both share? Did you kiss him before, or have you both had sex?" Louis asked, he is not in the best position to ask such a question, but he asked all the same.

"Excuse me!" Pamela snapped at him.
