Chapter 10: Chapter 10
Louis was silent. He just glared at Pamela. Get married? Does it have anything to do in connection with her return to Middletown City?
He knew her grandfather left and took the company away from her and then sold it. But how does getting married have anything to do with her return to the royal family?
"I'm sorry I am telling you this, it's not my place to suggest marriage. But Louis, except I am married, I cannot return to the royal family and I won't get to see my great grandfather before he will be laid to rest" Pamela explained quickly.
Louis brought her to sit on the sofa and sighed. He was going to marry Pamela and it's certain. But not yet, he wants to take his time before proposing marriage to her.
"After that day at the hospital, when Dora was discharged and I got into an argument with you, grandfather was unhappy with me and took my royal titles away.
He took the P and D4 group from me and made it into the Stone cut group. And later, sold it to you. I was stripped of my right as a princess and was banned from coming to Middletown City as a princess.
The condition attached to get back to whoever I used to be as a princess and member of the royal family is to be married. Grandfather made it a law to me and it cannot be overruled.
I need to return, to see my great grandfather and be home for my grandfather's coronation. And how can I achieve it if I cannot return as a married woman? Grandfather will throw me out." Pamela explained.
Everything made sense to Louis now. She can only return when she's become married. Everything was taken away from her because of her temperamental and irrational utterances.
And she can only get it back when she becomes married. He pinched the bridge between his eyes and next placed his fisted palm below his jaw.
"But I won't force you. If you cannot, I will find a way out" Pamela stood up and picked up her phone from the bedside stand and was going to walk out when Louis raised his head and asked her "Do you have another option on how to go about it?"
Pamela stood with his back to him. She closed her eyes with difficulty, trying hard to suppress the surge of wailing that she was holding back.
Is Louis Hayden not going to help her? He wants her to go with another option rather than agreeing to them to be married.
"Don't worry, I will do something about it" she declared and wanted to bolt the door open when Louis held her wrist and turned her to face him.
Without another word, he pulled her to himself and started kissing her. He was passionate about it and was kissing her sweetly as if his life depended on it.
"We should be married at once. Let's head to the bureau and get registered. I wanted to have something elaborate and not a quiet marriage.
But then, the time is short and the need is urgent. I will have Romeo arrange everything before we get to the bureau…" Louis declared, holding her waist close to his body.
She was going to be his wife again and he felt excited about it. Though it's going to be quiet, the fact that he would slip a ring through her finger and make her his.
Pamela nodded. She was happy. She glared up at Louis. She looked short when she's with him, barely reaching his shoulders.
"Let's tell Mom and Dad about it first. I don't want it to appear as a surprise to them" Pamela suggested. Louis' mother doesn't approve of her being with her son.
She had told her to stay away from her family. Who else was her family that she wanted her to stay away from if not Louis? She cannot allow herself and Louis to be married without her consent.
Louis shook his head. "If Mom is aware, then we might not be able to get married soon. She's going to oppose me being with you. Remember I told you to get acquainted with her first?" He rebuffed.
"I understand what you're saying. But how will your parents feel when they discover that we got married without their consent? They will feel unhappy about it" Pamela reasoned.
"Do I look like a child to you? Can't I make my decision without seeking their consent? Get dressed, we are going to the bureau" Louis concluded and kissed her temple briefly before stepping out.
Anyways, she needs to be married and since Louis was ready to accompany her to the end, she would go along with his decision.
When Louis came downstairs, he found his parents seated, waiting to have a word with him. When Louis saw them, he was dazed. Talking about the devil and appearing before you.
You're here mom, Dad?" Louis asked, coming over to kiss his mom's chin and embraced his father.
"Daddy" the kids chimed and left their grandparents and threw themselves on their dad. Louis squatted and kissed each of them.
"Good morning daddy" they said and Louis asked "How are my cuties doing today?" He said and hugged them one after the other.
"Where's my mommy?" Dora asked. She looked past her dad to the stairs looking out for her mom.
"Your mom will be downstairs soon," Louis answered. Ellis and Leah exchanged glances when the latter asked "Is Pamela living here or she simply came to visit?"
