Chapter 57: Chapter 57
Chapter 57
Sansa's Pov
"I'm curious why they came when I'm not the only reason for their visit; you know something but refuse to reveal it; things would be simple if you didn't let me guess," I inquired.
Bella began to walk after ignoring me as if I didn't exist, which irritated me. "You can't leave like that! "I have a right to know," I yelled.
"It's better not to know any more secrets; it's a deep well and you would not come out of it once you jumped inside," Bella said as she turned to face me. In a deep voice.
Her weighty and profound voice made me contemplate my interest. I had previously wrecked things without knowing the results. I felt responsible for Ray's circumstances. I needed to make everything right except karma was not in support of myself very much like general.
For Hina's equity, I made a colossal wreck, and the blameless Ray was behind bars as a result of the preliminary investigation I began.
"Besides the fact that the executioner killed the person, yet the observer who saw what was going on and decided to stay quiet is likewise the killer, I need to make things right," I said.
Bella was watching me briefly like she needed to let me know something about which I had the foggiest idea. What generally pulled her back from uncovering insider facts?
Why stayed quiet? Was she terrified of somebody? Or, on the other hand, would she say she was not prepared to confront terrible things again that she could confront for such an extremely long time?
"Stay out of anyone's way and keep your profile low," Bella advised. "Be careful; not everyone is as they appear; their true faces are hidden behind masks, and you never know when and how you will be trapped," Bella said before walking away.
She always used simple words with profound meanings. She wasn't difficult to understand, but nothing she said indicated that.
Was she lying to make me feel insecure, or was she telling the truth that I hadn't realized until now?
Bella and I were walking down a new path, the backyard of the mansion, which was new to me. I hadn't explored all of the mansion yet, but I knew there was more I hadn't seen.
"I know Ray is not the culprit; what should I do to save him?" I wondered, feeling sorry for him.
We both came to a halt, staring at each other.
"No one can save him; he is willing to sacrifice himself," Bella said, knowing his backstory.
"Why?" I exclaimed.
"A guilt, it's killing him from the inside; he wanted to get rid of that feeling, but I had no idea he chose that way to end things," Bella explained after a brief pause.
She knew something about him, which piqued my interest.
"Guilt?" I inquired out of concern.
"When he went to claim Hina as his bride, he killed her parents, and she was bound by the pronouncement of wonder with him," Bella revealed.
Hearing her, I began to wonder if Xavier had murdered my father to claim me. I had no idea why that question kept coming to mind. I had no evidence, but the feeling was strange.
"Hina never complained because she was in pain when her parents beat her for being different from other girls."
"Different?" I was curious about Hina's story.
"She was born with those abilities, and her power scared her parents at times. When she was four years old, she accidentally set fire to the house, and for the first time, her parents suspected her. Later, when she was six, she injured not a child but a man badly in a fight, and they were terrified of her sudden aggressive behavior, which was dramatically increasing day by day. They kept her chained inside the room for months." Bella disclosed
"Vera!! " I mentioned her name.
"Yes, she awoke in her body, and Hina's parents tried everything to kill Hina before people found out and did something bad to her, or burn her alive, as they all used to do with witches. They tried to kill her several times, but she always survived." Bella stated
"How could parents even consider it that way? I know it's difficult, but killing your daughter is not acceptable," I said, disappointed.
"That is how things sometimes turn out. You never know who will start hating you or when, " sadly, Bella stated.
"Life is unpredictable," I explained.
We both fell silent for a moment as we reflected on our wounds, which made us sad.
"That day when Ray arrived to claim his bride, her parents were about to stab Hina with a dagger; Ray arrived just in time and killed her parents to protect her; Hina did not complain, but he knows how it feels to lose her parents," Bella explained.
"So he doesn't want to accept her because he feels guilty," I explained.
"If Ray does not accept his bride, he will be alone for the rest of his life, and she will be killed by the pack," Bella revealed.
"What? Why would he kill her if he didn't accept her? That's not right." I yelled angrily.
"If she didn't want to be his bride, the pack wouldn't let her be anyone else's bride, and she wouldn't have a right to live. This is the pronouncement of wonder, in that kind of situation, if he doesn't like his bride, he chooses to kill his bride before the pack kills her," Bella stated.
I was shocked to learn that if Xavier did not accept me as his bride, I would be slaughtered by the pack! or he'd murder me. I was feeling helpless, and I despised Xavier for agreeing to accept me as his bride so that I could live longer. That was not right.
"What if the groom died unexpectedly? What becomes of the bride? Is she still killed by the pack?" I inquired.
"No, she goes free; she'll be independent; she'll be able to do whatever she wants; she'll be able to live with whomever she wants," Bella said, her voice sad.
"Are you sure?" I was astounded to discover another way out.
I only had one choice: if I killed Xavier, I would have been free to choose my mate, Logan. Regardless of how impossible it was to kill Xavier, I resolved to do so. If I hadn't found a way out, Xavier's death would have set me free.
I figured out another way. That was a difficult task; freedom was expensive at the time, and I had already decided that no matter how expensive or impossible the situation, I would buy my freedom back.
"Why didn't you kill your groom and fail to escape for 5 years when you knew the way out when you were taken against your will?" I questioned.
"Who says I was taken against my will?" Bella inquired.
Bella began to laugh, not for fun but to hide her helplessness and hopelessness behind her laughter; her eyes were gradually sparked by the small tears.
I could see right through her eyes how much pain and depression she was experiencing in her life. I tried and failed to escape, which broke my heart and led me to believe anyone who said they knew the way out; I was desperate. I was curious how she had survived five years of failure.
"Your scars," I said.
My statement made her silent and insecure, and she was avoiding eye contact with me.
"You couldn't try to flee for five years if you weren't living here against your will," I explained.
Bella continued to stare at me. "He is lucky enough; every time I try to kill him, he survives. Some have very strong luck, and my luck is my enemy," Bella lamented.
I could see the pain in her eyes; she was wounded, and not only were her scars visible, but she was also deeply hurt on the inside.
I could relate to her in a variety of ways: she had many secrets, the wounds were hidden, she was an outcast like me, and she never wanted to stay in the mansion.
"Why did you attempt to flee?" Whatever you say, you are here against your will, and your desire to flee has revealed everything, so I only want the truth." Bella stated
"I have my reasons," I explained.
"Are you constrained by the pronouncement of wonder with Xavier?" Bella posed the question, to which I had no desire to respond.
What could be the reason that Xavier never revealed that I was his bride by the law of pronouncement of wonder?
He pretended we were lovers while concealing the true reason. What games was Xavier playing?
Was he up to something against me? I began to wonder what his reason for hiding could be.
I denied it right in her face and said, "No."
Why did I lie? either to save me or Xavier, who was lying to the pack.
I went to my room expecting Vera to talk to me one last time about why she trapped Ray and how the way out she was talking about was a lie; I had so much to say but she wasn't there.
I mustered the courage to find my way out of the mansion once more, and I decided not to waste any more time.
A scream interrupted my concentration. I wasn't prepared for any more trouble, but I had no idea that starting the trial for Hina was a huge mistake.
