Chapter 55: Chapter 55

Chapter 55

Adam's Pov

Her milky, frozen skin glistened in the lights that adorned the elaborately decorated room. The aroma was incredible, and the room's cozy atmosphere and color scheme of red and black were appealing.

She looked stunning in a red and revealing gown, and her long hair added to her allure. Her legs and hands were tied behind her back. When she sat on the king-size bed, she wore a blindfold over her eyes.

She was struggling to break free the chain handcuff from her hands, but she failed many times at the moment. The door opened, and Artyom moved closer to her as he marveled at her beauty.

"You look beautiful," he said, his eyes filled with lust.

"I'm warning you to stay back or you'll get into trouble." Marina became nervous and threatened him.

"I'm already in trouble," Artyom chuckled.

Artyom's lust was uncontrollable; any man could be seduced by her stunning beauty. She was exceptional. The most stunning vampire Every man's crush, every man would go to any length to have her by his side, but she was enraged by Xavier.

A heartless and unromantic alpha who had never fallen in love in his life. I was curious how he managed to keep Sansa close to him and marry her when he didn't want any females around him.

The Alpha Xavier got married one day out of the blue and brought his bride with him, which raised a lot of questions for the pack. Nobody dared question him about his bride or their unexpected marriage while everyone was trying to win Sansa's heart to prove their loyalty to Xavier.

I used to think he despised the type of female because he never talked about them or showed any interest in them, but when Marina and Xavier became close, she was the only one with whom he was ever close, and we all thought he had found his mate, but when he announced his wedding to Sansa Elsher, no one knew.

Sansa Elsher was a mystery to all of us; her background, family, and pack she belonged to were all unknown.

"If my father finds out how you are treating me, he will not hesitate to kill you," Marina said.

Artyom gently caressed her waist closer, his red wine-intoxicated eyes examining every part of her body with lust in his eyes. He yearned for her.

"Don't ruin the mood; we'll talk about your father later," Artyom stated seductively.

Artyom was the most obstinate and terrifying. He murdered his wife because he suspected she was having an affair. He was also known for buying or stealing beautiful girls and enslaving or killing them.

Helpless Marina was struggling like a bird in a cage to get free, but she was firmly imprisoned. like a rat trapped in a maze with no way out but still running for its life.

I was watching a Russian mafia boss harass the helpless daughter of brutal vampire Anthony. Anthony, who murdered our families in retaliation. Marina was the game's most important pawn.

We decided not to abandon her and entered their mansion through a secret tunnel with the assistance of one of Nightwalker's members.

No matter how many pack members there were, someone was always an informant for the outsiders. in exchange for money? No, for vengeance on the Alpha, who was a victim many times.

We went inside after getting the information. Robert was an expert at smelling scents. He pointed to the tower, which housed Marina on the first floor of the room.

I was hanging from the tower, looking inside the open window at Marina as she struggled to escape Artyom, who was completely unaware of my presence.

The sky was full of stars and the moon was full of light.  The chill in the breeze was piercing my heart.

We were all busy and out of sight of each other. We all scattered in different directions, out of sight of the Nightwalker pack's guards.

I lowered my gaze and waited for Xavier's signal as he sat under the bushes with other pack members, silently choking guards who were nearby at the time.

"You have no idea how much fun you are denying yourself right now! I promise you would enjoy every minute you will spend with me." Artyom grinned as he said.

"Do not dare, I —-" Marina couldn't finish her sentence because Artyom wrapped the scarf to keep her mouth shut.

"Let's start the joy ride," Artyom said, laughing evilly.

He pushed her onto the bed as she tried to flee, but he held her tight, treating her like a toy.

I knew if she had been harmed, we would have been destroyed once more. We needed her protection right now because we needed her to secure our pack.

The news would have reached Anthony by the time she was last seen in Oak Pack territory. We needed her to act as a shield for us.

I returned my gaze to Xavier, who was making guards unconscious by choking them silently without alarming anyone nearby.

"Easy girl," Artyom said as he climbed onto the bed like a predator.

Helpless Marina was trying hard to shout, but her mouth was covered. Artyom slapped her face twice to make her submit, but she was attempting to flee. She was obstinate.

We were all running out of time, and a few minutes could spell disaster.

I waited for Xavier's signal to intervene in the rapidly deteriorating situation.

Artyom was getting closer to her, and it was becoming increasingly difficult for me to keep my distance. My hands were trembling not from fear but from the desire to kill Artyom.

I returned my gaze to Xavier, who motioned to interrupt. I dashed into the room. Artyom was thrown away from her on the floor. As I removed her blindfold, she struggled. I took the key from my pocket and unlocked her hands and handcuffs.

"Easy, easy, it's me, Adam," I tried to comfort her while she remained agitated.

Our gazes were locked. I watched her face as her eyes welled up with tears and sadness. I'd seen her many times before, but it felt like I was seeing her for the first time. I couldn't take my gaze away from her for a second.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Artyom inquired angrily.

"The deal is over because the time limit has expired," I explained to Artyom.

"Do you find it amusing?" Artyom was giggling.

"You thought we'd lend you a diamond and not charge you for it?" You only had a chance to sample; you don't have a reason to buy." I made fun of him.

When Artyom stood up, he pushed me away with all of his strength. We were both fighting, scratching, and severely injuring each other.

"You Oaks are traitors!" Artyom was enraged.

"You wouldn't believe that we decided not to kill you if you didn't cause any trouble," I threaten him sweetly.

"You believe you can warn me while standing in my bedroom, and you believe you will leave my land alive? You don't know who I am; if you did, you would have bowed to me right now, "Artyom was threatening me.

"I'm not opposed to killing you, but Xavier has decided to let you go," I warned him.

"You are fortunate in that I am not killing you right now; instead, I am keeping you alive to torture you until your last breath," Artyom explained.

Artyom took the silver dagger from the drawer and prepared to kill me.
