Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Chapter 37

Sansa's Pov

Hina adjusted her neck back to normal and began to walk toward me like a fox. I held my breath. I remember how she left a deep scar on my wrist that was still painful and that I kept hidden from everyone.

During heavy storms, I had a habit of the remaining silent and standing firm without falling. Acting strong in any situation, no matter how terrified I was, always worked for me.

"You must have come to meet her," her honey-like voice said.

She was circling me, probing my character. She was small, but the power she possessed within herself was unrivaled; she was incredible.

My hand moved slowly toward my pants pocket. I grabbed it and was about to pull out the pistol when she grabbed my wrist and stopped me in the middle of my movement. while she stood on the bed to face me.

"There's no need to do that; it might scare her."

She moved away from my wrist and slowly approached my ear.

"Somethings should be kept hidden,

Let sleeping dogs lie."

She leaned back and looked into my eyes; after a blink, her eyes returned to normal, but I wondered if she was still the witch or if Hina had returned.

"Don't feed the gun more blood; it's already eaten life," Her grin concealed many secrets.

How did she find out what I had in my pocket? How did she find out about the missing bullet? Who could that person be? My mind was racing with questions.

"How did you know about the pistol?" I inquired.

"I can see right through your soul," she said strangely.

What was she thinking? Was she aware of my fictitious marriage to Xavier? Was she aware of my escape? How much did she know about me?

Being around her was not easy, but I mustered the courage to confront her in this manner.

"Did I frighten you? She'd be upset with me," she stated.

"Who?"

"Hina, she doesn't like it when I scare people; she doesn't like anything I do," Hina said softly.

Why was she speaking so negatively about herself? She appeared to have a different personality.

"I'm not going to hurt you, so don't be afraid," she said.

"I am not afraid, but I am concerned about you."

"Me? You must be referring to Hina; you don't even know who I am." She was giggling.

"Worrying about someone does not necessitate knowing them."

"Why are you concerned?" She was intrigued.

"Because you're in pain," I explained, looking into her eyes.

She paused for a split second as if I had said something shocking to her that she had never heard before. All of the bruises remained on her body.

"What drew your attention to us—the pain?" She inquired out of curiosity.

"Pain connects people; those who have experienced a great deal of pain can understand the situation of the other well."

She was silent; I had no idea what was on her mind, but my few words made her think.

"I slept a long time ago, but her scream woke me up," she expressed concern.

"What do you mean you awoke?"

"She has the same right as I do; we both own this body and share it." She revealed the most bizarre secret.

"What? How is this even possible?" Her reality astounded me.

"There are many secrets in our witch society that are still hidden; I just revealed one."

Her words were difficult to process; it was shocking to hear them for the first time.

"What happened to her body? I mean to your body?"

"I had to come back because someone hurt her, someone hurt me in my sleep, someone from the Oak pack," she said angrily.

"Who?" Her question piqued my interest.

"I don't know; she doesn't tell me; she closes herself off to me," Vera admitted.

"How did you find out?"

"I can distinguish between werewolves and dogs!" She was enraged.

"Find that dog that harmed us." Vera got closer to me.

"What makes you think I'd do that?" I inquired.

She read my mind, knowing exactly what I wanted. "Because I can be the key to your escape, there is only one way to escape, and only I can guide you."

Her words frightened me, and Bella demotivated me, but Vera agreed to assist me. My fortune was about to change.

"I'm not doing it for free; I'm doing it because you took care of us and didn't abandon us," Vera expressed gratitude.

I had no idea where I was about to dive, because whether or not I believed her depended on my escape, and I was desperate.

"Most of them despise me; I've never heard of anyone being concerned about us; you're the first to say that." Her eyes were the most innocent and honest, and I couldn't take my gaze away from her.

Her eyes went completely white in a blink as the door opened. She shifted her gaze to Bella, who rushed over to her as if she were about to burst. Bella rested her hands on her shoulder. She was trembling.

"Hina! Are you paying attention, Hina? I need to speak with you." Bella had her attention without being afraid of her."

Hina's eyes returned to normal, and her facial expression was different from Vera's, more innocent, indicating that Hina had taken control of the body at the time.

"From the mountain, sentries have arrived to find you, and they are looking around," Bella expressed concern.

"No, I can't go back," Hina feared.

I was perplexed when Hina spoke in English rather than a foreign language.

"Please take me somewhere else; I cannot return at any cost." Hina was pleading, as her nervous body was about to collapse.

"All right, take a seat," Bella tried to console her.

They were both sitting on the bed.

"How should I proceed? Where should I go to hide? I want to vanish somewhere where they can't find me." Hina was in tears.

"I'll figure something out, but you have to stay here no matter what, okay?" Bella inquired.

"All right," Hina murmured.

"Did you eat anything?"

"No"

Bella said softly, "I'll get you something to eat."

Hina clutched Bella's hand, trying to muster the courage to speak, but nothing came out of her mouth.

"It's ok. You'll be fine, believe me." Bella's words comforted her a little because she trusted Bella and she was the only one who knew about her.

"May I speak with you for a moment?" Bella stated this before departing.

I followed Bella out the door.

"What was she saying?" Her first question to me was,

"Who? Hina? "

"Vera, What was she talking about?" Bella was intrigued.

"How is it possible that they share the same body?"

"That's not the answer to my question," Bella anticipated.

"What did you and Hina discuss in a foreign language?"

"Hina does not want Vera to listen because she does not understand the language. Hina stated that she has not returned since the day she arrived at your wedding reception. She is terrified of telling anyone what happened to her. So, tell me, what was she on about?"

"You mentioned she's a witch; do they usually have two souls in one body? I've never witnessed such a soul connection before." I refused to respond to her inquiry.

"Don't believe anything she says, and don't listen to the witch," Bella warned me once more.

"How come you're telling me?" I inquired.

Was she trying to demotivate me once more, or did she want me to beg her to help me escape?

"This is just advice; otherwise, you've already ruined your future by marrying the Alpha Xavier, and now you want to flee!" She made fun of me.

I did my best not to go insane.

My patience was being severely tested by her.
