Chapter 36: Chapter 36

Chapter 36

Sansa's Pov

My refuge was a changing sky. Every season, cold and hot, when I lived on a street, I had to move every month or every week due to the bad neighborhood.

He always found me; his scent was in the air, and he was around me, closer than I thought but hidden from my sight.

When I was sick, his gentle touch on my hand was a cure. His soft lips were a pleasure to touch every early morning in my deep sleep with a sweet kiss on my forehead while His warm hands held mine. His loyalty was a blessing.

In the cold weather, I used to wake up wrapped in a warm blanket. Fresh, hot breakfast and dinner meals were available right around the corner from where I was staying at the time.

Those men who used to try to harm me began to fear me; the scratches and bruises on their bodies and faces were proof of his existence.

Nobody bullied me for months, When the bad neighborhood became good for me, I stopped moving anywhere. And then everything began to change in my favor: no more shivers from the cold,

No more sleepless nights or the humiliation of stealing food when he provided everything in silence. He placed the new dress next to me while I slept. I got a new dress that completely covered me, and I no longer had to fight to keep my nakedness hidden from everyone.

There was no more fear of the dark when his presence was enough to light up my world. He was hope.

For months, I lived in his shadow; I hadn't seen him since the bread incident but felt his presence nearby. His existence was genuine.

I had no idea why he kept himself hidden from my view, but he was guarding me against all evil. My eyes were searching for him, hoping to capture his expression, but he never appeared.

It was true that I was not insane or imagining things that could lead to false hopes. He was there for me in my desperate time. when I needed someone the most.

I awoke with teary eyes in Xavier's luxurious room, which was the most beautifully decorated, but I couldn't get excited about watching luxury when I was losing hope of ever seeing Logan again.

I was Alpha's bride, and they treated me like a queen, with respect and love, but on the inside, I was hollow. I couldn't enjoy their praise because I was broken on the inside.

My heart and chest were hurting, and I wanted to cry. I was depressed because I had lost the man I had ever loved; leaving him was causing me pain and guilt every second. Was Logan missing me as much as I missed him?

I had to hide my sadness from Amara when she came to say good morning. Against my will, I held back my tears and pretended to be Alpha's happy wife, which was deeply hurting me. I wasn't ready to share my feelings with anyone because I was fighting my own battle in silence.

I was inactive throughout the day, lost in my world of hopelessness. They had no reason to doubt me because of my fake smile.

"How are you doing?" Jerry, in soft tones, inquired.

My attention was drawn to him.

"Admiring the beauty of the weather," I said when sitting on the lawn bench and finding different shapes in the dark, heavy clouds.

"It's a bear! What are you watching?" While sitting next to me on the bench, Jerry guessed the shape in the cloud.

"Panda"

Jerry started to laugh. I was confused about his laughter.

"What's the matter?"

"I'm not going to tell, Xavier will kill me," he kept laughing, the joke he only knew about.

"Why? What's the big deal about that?" He drew my attention.

"Well," he says after a moment, his voice lowering as if about to reveal the greatest secret, "the word you just spoke is deeply connected to Xavier."

His every word drew my attention as he made the conversation more interesting. Jerry was observing others when he leaned in to reveal the secret.

"Don't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you," His eyes became suspicious, and his voice became huskier.

By watching him, it appeared that he would reveal something very important. or something that could help me in a variety of ways.

"You can kill him," he said, making me more curious about what he was hiding and about to reveal.

"Huh?"

Was he aware of Xavier and my fake wedding? How could he possibly say that to Alpha's bride? I was certain he knew something.

"I'm referring to Xavier; you can kill him with a single word, Panda!" He began to laugh again, which made me laugh at my curiosity.

"You can call him that; his nickname is a panda, and he despises that name."

Without aiming, I was hitting the arrow in the air. He made something from nothing.

I laughed at the thought of what I expected from him. I was duped into believing his fascinating words.

"What's the matter?" He paused for a moment to speak softly.

"Nothing"

"Are you missing him already?" Jerry expected me to be shy.

"No, I don't miss him," I said with a poker face.

"It's written on your face; anyone can see how lonely you are without him," Jerry observed.

"Yes, you are correct; I am sad without him; he is the only one that my mind kept thinking about," I admitted sadly, remembering Logan.

"You adore him."

"That's something I was not aware of." I stifled a chuckle.

"What do you see now, there?" Jerry was pointing to the cloud, where I had noticed the scar on his wrist.

"What happened?"

"I was helping Amara in the kitchen, and my over-smartness gave me that gift," Jerry laughed shyly.

His personality was light and easy to talk to, and he had a good sense of humor. In the pack, he was such a good guy.

Sometimes we meet people who make our days brighter with their kind gestures; just watching them makes us happy. Their presence lifts our spirits. Having someone like that in your life is a blessing.

The sun was kissing the sky goodbye. When the music of the tree danced to the rhythm of the cold breeze, the birds were singing. The clear sky had been obscured by clouds.

I was on my way back to meet Hina, the mountain witch.

who stayed with me, just as Logan did when I was desperate, and I wanted to be that someone for her. The pain and suffering that brought us together

I jerked and fell while stepping on the same stone, injuring my knee. A single tear fell from my eyes. Since the morning, my heavy heart had been leaking from my eyes, and I had been attempting to block it out.

Little pushes were causing more harm and encouraging me to cry out loud, but I was good at enduring in silence.

I slowly opened the treehouse door and observed a Hina sitting on the chair outside the window. I approached slowly from behind her.

Hina stretched her neck abnormally to face me, her body unmoved and unaffected.

When goosebumps covered my entire body, I cleared my throat, forcing myself not to flee. Hina was not herself at the moment, her full white eyes staring at me as if she were about to devour me alive.

"Hello, Sansa," Hina said softly with a grin.
