Chapter 25: Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Xavier's Pov
Humans are very sharp and astute.
Cleaver, like a fox, may appear innocent, like flowers, but they are filled with the devil. unpredictable and lethal.
Since the author, Ezra Waylen, revealed our species to the rest of the world, humans had been unaware of the underworld. Our conflict was with humans, who had grown stronger over time.
He demonstrated that we existed in the same world as humans, and he revealed a secret that had been kept hidden and buried for thousands of years.
Humans used to read stories and books about werewolves and vampires. Some of them turned us into heroes, while others turned us into enemies. But, contrary to popular belief, we were merely a work of fiction created by the author Ezra.
They enjoyed the author Ezra's fantasy, which dared to create a masterpiece that no one could have imagined, but who would have guessed that Ezra, who first wrote about us, was the werewolf himself
By revealing the information in his books, Ezra wanted to communicate with the world, hinting to humans about our existence. Ezra reasoned that revealing something unusual repeatedly would not make people afraid but rather curious.
In some ways, Ezra was correct, but some things are meant to be hidden. First, humans encountered us during a battle with soldiers, when they attacked us blindly because they had heard from unknown sources that we were monsters.

Ezra was correct in some ways, but some things are meant to be hidden. Humans first encountered us during a battle with soldiers, when they attacked us blindly after hearing from unknown sources that we were monsters.
We did everything we could to protect the pack, and they watched as we shifted into our natural form. They were terrified, and some of them were intrigued.
The hunt began, and the predator did not abandon its prey. Humans became hunters to capture our kind because they were curious to learn more about us and study us; many of our members were captured for experiments. Many of my people were killed because of their curiosity. They were curious as to how dangerous we could be to them.
They bullied us, and after being exposed, we found it difficult to interact with humans. Hunters who made us homeless burned down our homes and killed many of us simply because they used fear as a weapon to protect their loved ones.
We lost, we found, we lived, we bound, and we lived to achieve the peace we desired.
We were all plotting against the humans who had been hunting vampires for months, and their race had suffered greatly as a result of the Hunters.
They were murdering and experimenting on vampires, torturing them as hostages by starving them and poisoning them to find the best poison that could kill the entire race.
When they all committed the devil's sin without hesitation and thought they had done justice to their race, humans thought we were evil and would harm them.
Peace, We're all here, destroying the peace. We fight to protect, they fight to distract, and we're all losing someone we care about. Someone wins, someone loses, and the cycle continues indefinitely.
I couldn't say no when the Demonix clan offered us companionship. They wanted werewolves to join the war against hunters in exchange for my help killing Oberon, which I desperately needed.
I agreed that both clans would be merged after both battles, and both clans agreed on Bonita and Anthony's wedding as a result.
The wedding was a win-win situation for both clans.
Werewolves were discussing the upcoming war against the hunters, which Levine could not bear; he despised vampires because our father had spent his entire life fighting them and I was the only one who shook hands with them.
"I don't believe you shook hands with enemies!" Levine was disappointed that he and the vampires could not agree on terms.
"They call themselves humans, but they are devils, so we gathered monsters to compete fairly to get rid of the devils," I explained.
"I don't see any need for bloodsuckers; we can win our fight," Levine tried to persuade me.
"We lost our best members when they died, and the remaining members betrayed us and joined Oberon after their father died. And because those who remained were not prepared to fight, I shook hands with the enemy to eliminate the other enemy and protect our pack at any cost." I disclosed
"Vampires and humans are the same; they are traitors, and they will hunt you," Levine warned me.
"When the hunter is being hunted, it doesn’t always mean that it’s become the prey. I have my ways of dealing with things; don't overburden your mind," I said.
That was the last peaceful night before the war, as many of us and the Demonix clan were enjoying the night party, dancing in the cold by the fire to the romantic song, Albert was playing the guitar, and most of them were enjoying, when Levine was happy to see his best friends Edward and Albert again.
The next day, we all prepared for the war against the hunters, and we chose the nighttime when the darkness lies. There was a large school where hundreds of hunters planned to kill vampires and werewolves, so we went to their location, where they had been living for a few months in an abandoned school building.
We entered the territory and looked around. The entire area was deserted. We didn't bother checking the school building because there was no human scent around; if there were, we could all smell it, but I still sent some of the members.
"Go check inside the building," I told a few pack members.
While we were all standing on the ground, Anthony ordered a few of his members to check inside the school building.
"What the fuc* is going on? Where they have gone?" The first words came from Max, whom I mistook for a voiceless vampire.
Max's voice had not been heard since he joined us, no matter how Anthony tried to hide the fact, but some of his clanmates did not like the agreement between werewolves and vampires.
They remained silent because they, too, required our assistance. The merger of Demonix and the Oak Pack was a huge change for everyone because it had never happened before.
"That's impossible; there's something wrong," upset Adam said as he looked at me.
I was perplexed by the outcome; the war we had been planning for weeks had failed before it even began.
"They knew about our arrival; vampires, I'm sure, would not have told," Jasper explained to Anthony.
When Jasper added the oil to the fire to make it bigger, everyone became intrigued.
"There's no way they all vanished without a reason." Jasper's words were enough to cause misunderstandings among the clans, who had agreed to collaborate for the first time.
"What does this imply? Are you saying we warned them?" Edward became enraged when he noticed the wind.
"I didn't say that, but you're telling us something we don't know." Jasper was setting off the werewolves.
"We agreed to help you, and now you're blaming us!" Edward tried to keep his temper under control.
"I said nothing like that; why are you overreacting?" Jasper's calm voice mocked Edward.
"You should not have started this, and you are not worthy of our company." Edward retorted
When he took a step forward, Albert stopped him in his tracks.
"You want us to get rid of Oberon because you couldn't do anything." Max joined the heated debate.
Levine took a step toward getting involved, but I stopped him to keep him away from the mess; he understood.
"Who do you think you are?" Edward was furious and pushed Jasper away twice.
"Get your hands off him," Max said, pushing Edward away.
"Don't test our patience; we can't keep it up for long." Adam snatched Max's collar.
"Try; you can't handle us," Max said, grabbing his collar back.
They were both on fire and wanted to kill each other; a massive battle was about to begin, one that some members of Demonix's clan were planning to start with us.
"Enough of you two!" Anthony yelled
Anthony's rage was the most terrifying for the clan's members; everyone was quiet, and Max and Adam were staring at each other as if they were going to kill them with their gaze. They both left each other's collar.
"We—" my mouth closed as we all witnessed a sudden moment.
The bright lights turned on from everywhere on our faces, making it impossible for us to see clearly, and we were all standing in the middle of the ground as the hunters blocked all exits. They sealed all the doors, trapping vampires and werewolves in the middle of the huge ground beneath the dark sky.
We noticed a few hunters had appeared on the roof of the school building with silver bows and arrows.
A few hunters walked slowly from the left, carrying loaded guns with silver bullets. A group of hunters approached from the right side, holding swords.
They spent years researching our species and developing a weapon capable of killing us. They were all ready when I thought we hadn't studied them before the war.
Vampires and werewolves were all crammed together like rats in a cage. We were terrified as we witnessed their advanced weapons and confidence in starting a war against us.
That made me feel as if hunters were waiting for us to fall into their trap. That was our final time, a time of death. I saw death up close.
