Chapter 26: Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Xavier's Pov

"You will regret it," he said confidently and with a grin.

"I have nothing to regret," I said, looking down at his fearless, mysterious blue eyes.

He was lying on the ground in the classroom, and the moonlight was streaming in through the window as I stood there with one leg on his chest and a fancy sword in my hand with the dragon printed on the grip.

He laughed with a cough; his fake gold tooth can be seen with other white front teeth; there is blood all over his face; and there is a fresh blade scar under his left eye that I gave him a few minutes ago in an intense fight.

His long black coat had been ripped apart and soaked in blood. His front missing tooth was in the classroom's corner, near a few broken chairs and his black pistol. I applied pressure to his chest. He was panting for breath because my solid shoe was causing him pain.

"I'm sure you miss your little bride," he said, grinning.

"Bride?" I was intrigued by his words.

Falkor Grant's gaze was fixed on me, his grin concealing many secrets.

"The pronouncement of wonder," Falkor exhaled. "She is a girl."

The deal I made a long time ago served as a reminder by Falkor. I couldn't even imagine the biggest surprise he gave me. The first meeting with him was unforgettable, but the second was the most surprising and one I will remember for a long time.

"You may claim your bride whenever you want."

Falkor was the best hunter, and he was well-known in the underworld. He was the most mysterious man I'd ever met—the man I couldn't believe without proof.

"Do you think you'll be saved after fooling me?" I yelled at him as he pulled dirty tricks to get away from me.

"I'm not lying; believe me," Falkor assured me.

"The child has been dead," I told him confidently.

"Dead? "Who said it?" Falkor scoffed.

When I leaned down with my gaze fixed on him, he shivered in agony as I pressed my solid shoe against his chest.

" Raven Elsher himself showed me the grave of the nameless child when I returned to claim, and he said the child was born dead," I responded.

"That's not true; the child never died, and Raven lied to you to protect his daughter. I have something to show you." Falkor reached into his pocket, and I raised my sword, ready to kill him if he did something stupid.

He took his old black wallet from his coat pocket, opened it, and extended it to show me a photograph of a one-year-old girl in a red frock with a beautiful smile sitting in Raven Elsher's lap. He was evidence of her existence.

I was astounded to see Raven Elsher with his daughter, whom he described as a boy who had never seen the outside world. He led me to believe that the child was born dead and never cried or was even moved.

but She was the one who was bound by my destiny even before she was born. My destined bride.

"Her name is Sansa Elsher," Falkor reveals the long-hidden truth that I had given up on.

He returned his wallet to his pocket.

"Do you remember Raven Elsher?" Falkor teased me.

Raven Elsher was the man who betrayed me after I did him a favor. He was desperate, and I was the person he needed. The last meeting with him was unforgettable. Raven was the first human I blindly trusted, which made me hate myself until now. I wanted to kill him more than anything else.

"You are legally bound to her; without me, you could not reach her." Falkor's only option was to flee.

Time had stopped for me, and it was difficult to accept that I was unaware of Sansa's existence. Only a human had ever dared to betray me. My hatred for them grew stronger.

Flashback: 20 minutes ago

vampires and werewolves stood in the middle of the ground, unable to see anything. Hunters with silver bullets were aiming their guns at us.

"They have special weapons," Max lamented.

"There is still time." After witnessing the unexpected welcome by hunters, Jasper was not prepared to fight. As we all stared in awe at the special weapons, Anthony turned to look at me.

"What do we do now?" Adam was upset, and they were all waiting for my order.

"We fight," I said.

"All right, let's go!" Edward grinned and said loudly,

We ran towards them, avoiding every bullet that meant death. As we ran toward the hunters, the werewolves were shifting to win the battle. As our muscles grew in size, the dark fur sprouted from our bodies, and our clothing tore itself from us. The color shift in the eyes.

increased senses and strength.

The vampires were also racing to win exact revenge on the heartless hunters who had killed so many of us. Silver arrows, swords, and bullets were everywhere, making it difficult to avoid every attack. Many clan members were hurt by silver arrows.

"On the roof," Anthony said.

Adam and Max jumped high on the roof just to get rid of the hunters, who were firing perfectly aimed arrows. Many of us were hurt. Max and Adam were kicking them and stabbing their weapons into them to kill them.

Vampires and werewolves were guarding each other on the ground when no one could have imagined that could happen one day.

When I saw Falkor shooting with the silver bullet pistol, I jumped on him, and he was badly injured on the ground. I was walking around him when he became afraid of seeing me in my natural form.

When the other hunter shot me, my gaze shifted, but the bullet crossed my arm. And that hunter was slaughtered with the sword by Max. Falkor vanished as he got the chance.

"This baby is sharp, Alpha; don't get yourself killed; you have a wedding to attend." Before leaving, Max threw the sword near me on the ground while holding another in his hand.

I shifted into a human body, naked, and took off a dead hunter's coat and pants when no one else was around except the dead bodies.

My eyes were drawn to the perfect-size shoe pair that a dead body was wearing.

I removed the cheetah-print shoes from his feet and wore them. I picked up the sword, which had a dragon tattoo on the grip.

"You f***ing dog," a man said as he shivered in agony on the ground, surrounded by dead bodies and sea blood.

I crouched down after fixing the edge of the sword into the ground and resting my left hand on the sword grip. I saw fear in his eyes as it overtook him. I jerked to get my long hair out of my face.

"You have been served, Master," I said, grinning as he did when he burned my kind alive.

He was attempting to move his body to kill me, but he was out of energy. My gratification was burning him. He was eager but powerless.

"Remember me. In your last heavy breaths, remember me until you die," I said, leaving him shivering in pain.

The best revenge I could have taken was not to kill the monster, who was begging for death in agony; he was neither alive nor dead but was caught up in something.

I went inside the school to find Falkor, who was hiding there. There was no trace of a human anywhere. I was taking quiet steps to avoid alerting any nearby hunters.

We all agreed not to bite any hunters and instead to carefully kill them. We didn't want any hunter to become one of us. So we used their weapons to kill them.

As I felt someone inside the classroom, I tightened my grip on the sword. When I wanted to kill every hunter, my footsteps were uncontrollable.

Someone threw a chair at me from behind; the chair broke, but I was fine. I turned back like the death of a person, Falkor was standing in the distance.

"Xavier Ronan?" Falkor's eyes were wide open because he didn't expect to see me again in his life.

I took a step forward, and he took three steps back, aiming the pistol at me.

"Don't get any closer," Falkor cautioned.

"You can't give instructions to death," I chuckled to him.
