Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Chapter 11

I left the camp and began walking around the greenery, thinking about what Elodie had said. That was difficult to swallow.

I noticed young girls smiling at me, and some of them appeared to be afraid of me simply because I was Alpha's bride. I wanted to talk to them, but Xavier cut me off.

"Didn't she say anything?" inquired Xavier.

"She appeared to be some kind of supernatural woman," I said.

"She can sometimes see into the future and the past. Did she say anything to you?" Xavier inquired.

"Yes," I said.

"What did she say to you?" he was desperate to know, I had noticed.

"Ahhh..." I was ignoring him while stretching my arms.

"I am asking you something," said Xavier.

As he had been playing with me since I arrived, this was the best opportunity to keep him on his toes. Finally, it was my turn. I intended to tease him more and more.

"This place is lovely; I'd like to explore it," I said as I looked around.

"We don't have time, let's go," seriously Xavier said.

"Where?." I inquired.

"Off the mountain," said Xavier.

I began to walk away, completely unaware that I was afraid of heights.

"What are you doing?" inquired Xavier.

"I'm going back," I said.

"Would you like to fall again?." Xavier made a point. "Get on my back," he knelt.

The more I wanted to avoid that man, the more I needed to be close to him, even touching him was my necessity for the time being. I climbed onto his back while teenage girls smiled at me and I avoided them.

"Hold on tight," he advised.

Xavier began to run as if he were flying through the air. I clutched him tightly because I was afraid of falling again, and my heart began to race as I looked down from a height. There was a massive jungle from which there was no way out. The next thing I wanted to do was escape and get rid of Xavier.

I got off his back and down the mountain, hoping never to see the man I despise the most. When Edward was not present, Xavier kept an eye on the car.

"Let's go," said Xavier, beginning to walk ahead of me.

After a 5-minute walk, I noticed a path obscured by bushes, but my eagerness to find a way out revealed something suspicious.

"Why aren't you telling me? Did she say something strange?" inquired Xavier.

"Why don't you meet with her and ask her?." I said

"Why is it so difficult for you to tell?" stated Xavier.

I had the impression he was desperate but pretended not to be in front of me. I was having fun with the situation and his desperation.

"Just like it's difficult for you to explain everything to me," I replied.

I couldn't read Xavier's mind for a moment because he was silent. After a brief pause, he resumed the conversation where he had left off.

"Can you elaborate on what Elodie said?" Xavier inquired.

I was getting nervous because of his sudden strange behavior, why he was curious about what Elodie said, he might have known something was wrong because he took me to her. Or he wanted to learn something from Elodie through me, but there was no path for me to take, so I was perplexed.

Xavier approached me, his body pressing against mine, which made me uneasy. I didn't know what he wanted, but I wanted him to leave me alone. He embraced me.

I said, "What exactly are you doing? Leave me alone."

His hug tightened, making it difficult for me to breathe. My body was in his hands, and I was in pain.

"What did she tell you?" Xavier demanded, his voice threatening.

When I discovered his new color, he was acting like a psycho, thirsty for my blood, and I was terrified and weak. The more I pushed him away, the tighter his grip became; tears in my eyes were evidence of the pain I was feeling. I was heartbroken because of my insecurity.

"Tell me what she told you," said Xavier quietly.

My voice could not escape my mouth because I had lost my voice in fear and was crying silently.

"S... Sh... Said she..." I attempted to speak.

"Sssshhhh... " whispered Xavier.

He was punishing me for challenging him and teasing him; he was making me miserable and scared.

"Tell me how much you love me?" inquired Xavier.

I couldn't stop crying, but he didn't seem to mind, as if I were hugging a robot who couldn't feel anything. He was turning around and hugging me, with no intention of leaving me anytime soon.

"I'd like to know how much you love me," explained Xavier.

"Ah... I... " My voice couldn't leave my mouth.

He let go of me just as I was catching my breath when he pulled the knife from his pocket.

"Why? Why are you so obstinate?" Xavier screamed.

I jumped in fear as he yelled; he was unpredictable. I was taking a few steps back when he approached me again.

"Do you believe you have a chance? You can run if you want, but you'll end up in front of me, pleading for mercy," he was yelling angrily.

Xavier held my hand and cut it a little, my hand was bleeding like a river, another shameless pain he inflicted on me, trying to break me, and make me weak since he met me.

"You are evil," my eyes welling up with tears.

When I took a few steps back from him in fear, he stood silently watching me without any expression on his face. I noticed my blood droplets falling from the knife he was holding.

Another moment, his expressionless face changed into a rage, and he began to run towards me in anger, intent on killing me.

He grabbed the neck of a man who appeared next to me in a split second, my eyes wide open as I held my breath, and Xavier looked into my eyes for a split second before pushing that man behind me, with green eyes. The man struggled to break free, but Xavier was stronger.

"I told you you wouldn't get mercy," he was threatened by Xavier.

"Do you think you'll be unharmed if you hurt me?" the man was laughing as he spoke in a broken voice.

"I did not invite vampires into my territory; you should be concerned about yourself," said Xavier.

Vampire? That man was a vampire, not a human or a werewolf. He had emerald green eyes, a textured quiff with light brown hair, and was dressed in a Gothic trench coat.

My heart was racing and my legs were trembling as Xavier rushed over to me in the blink of an eye, blocking another vampire's hand as he prepared to attack me from behind. Xavier twisted the vampire's hand and kicked him, and the vampire fell a long distance to the ground.

I gulped and noticed Xavier checking to see if I was hurt. I took the knife from him after he extended it to me. I noticed him upset; was he upset because of me? or was he upset because the vampire intruded on his territory?

Xavier was beating them, and they were both skilled fighters; I noticed Xavier's eyes turning red.

Both Vampires were beating Xavier when Edward entered the fight, pulling another Vampire away from Xavier and beginning to beat him.

"Bring the gasoline from the trunk," said Xavier to Edward while he was fighting another vampire.

Vampires were after my blood, so I went to the car, took out the gasoline bottle, and threw it at Edward, who caught it and spread it all over the vampire while fighting him.

After knocking down one vampire and turning over to another, Xavier lit a match from the matchbox and threw it on the vampire who was bathed in gasoline. In the next second, the vampire was on fire.
