Chapter 308: Chapter 308

Chapter 308 Tommy family's Bankruptcy

"You're the one who should blame yourself. You tried everything you could do to fight against me, so that was the worst choice you had in your life," Martin coldly said.

Because of what Martin said, all Elmer could do was to violently thrash around while the security escorted him outside.

Once Elmer was outside the office, he called Secretary Kama again and asked her to issue a notice to the entire company to inform all the employees that Elmer was fired. He also issued notices to the executives who had previously been with Elmer and demoted some of them while the rest were fired.

After that, Martin basically took out all the things that weren't needed in the company's success. And because of that, there were a large number of vacant positions which could be given to more capable people.

In addition to that, Martin planned to transfer Michael and Delia to the head office because Martin trusted Michael enough because of his help in C City. Not to mention, he also promised Michael in the beginning.

As for Delia, she already had excellent business skills and she's Martin's woman, so he naturally trusted her. Moreover, if he promoted her to head office, she'll be able to live with him.

At that time, Martin's phone rang and he saw that it was a call from his grandpa, so he answered immediately.

"Martin, I'm going to be at the company soon. Are you in the company right now? I kind of have an emergency to tell you in person," Morgan said, a little anxious.

"I'm in the company, grandpa," Martin replied.

"Alright. Just come to my office and wait for me there," Morgan said.

Martin didn't know what was going on, but when he noticed that Morgan was anxious, he felt that it wasn't a trivial matter. Not to mention, he felt like something bad was going to happen.

As soon as the call was over, Martin came to his grandpa's office according to the instructions and waited for him. However, as he stood at the windows of the office, Martin saw a lot of dark clouds that enveloped the capital.

"There's a lot of dark clouds right now," Martin pondered. "Maybe there's a storm coming?"

As the wind blew, the sky was filled with ominous dark clouds that made him a little depressed.

At that time, the office door was suddenly pushed open and Morgan eagerly walked into the office.

"Grandpa!" Martin said as he looked at Morgan.

"Martin, something happened," Morgan said. "The Tommy family is in danger."

"What? How could that possibly happen?" Martin asked, bewildered.

"Shirley's father is a gambler and the day before yesterday, he was at the Old Town Casino and in the middle of a game. Not only did he lose all the money he brought, but he also borrowed fifteen billion from the casino." Morgan explained. "The casino detained the people and asked the Tommy family to hand over twenty billion in one day!"

"Payne can't collect so much money in just a day, but they asked the Tommy Group to repay its debts," Morgan continued.

"Did the Tommy Group repay the debt?" Martin exclaimed.

"That's right," Morgan said as he felt distressed. "As far as I know, the Birrell family may be the ones who manipulated this incident and they set up this bureau. If this keeps up, the Tommy family will be destroyed!"

"Damn it!" Martin said as he gritted his teeth. "The Birrell family is on the brink of bankruptcy and yet they're still doing these kinds of things!"

Martin knew very well that was because of his request. Since Payne cooperated with the Gold Group so they could deal with the Birrell family together, the Birrell family noticed that and retaliated against the Tommy family, which caused the Tommy family to die.

And because of that, Martin naturally felt guilty. If the Tommy family didn't agree in the first place, that kind of thing would have never happened.

"Grandpa, where's Grandpa Payne and Shirley now? Can you tell me what the situation is?" Martin quickly asked.

"When the Tommy Group fell the enemies and creditors who had been offended went towards them and took all the luxury cars, mansions, and even the Tommy family's jewelry," Morgan said. "Now that Payne and Shirley are penniless, they don't even have a place to live anymore."

After Martin heard that, his face became pale. "Grandpa, if they're in trouble, we have to lend a helping hand."

"Of course," Morgan retorted. "I already helped them arrange a place to live, so all we have to do now is to go over and meet with them so we can discuss this."

"Okay," Martin said as he solemnly nodded.

After that, both of them hurried downstairs. The weather outside was very gloomy and it indicated that heavy rain was coming. However, as soon as Martin and Morgan walked out of the building, they saw a familiar figure of a person.

"Edwiin," Martin exclaimed as he glared at him.

Immediately afterward, the two hurried all the way downstairs.

Next to Edwiin was a middle-aged man, but Martin felt an unprecedented sense of oppression when he saw that man.

In a blink of an eye, Edwiin walked directly towards Martin.

"What are you doing? Didn't you lose enough at the cocktail party last time?" Martin said as he pursed his lips. After all, the Birrell family was the one who broke the Tommy family.

"I'm just here today to humiliate you and watch what you're up to," Edwiin said with a smile.

"You just destroyed the Tommy family! Did you think I would let you do that?!" Martin gritted his teeth. "If you don't have anything else to say, get out of our sight!"

"What if I don't want to?" Edwiin smiled.

"If you don't, I'll make Dylan take care of you whether you like it or not," Martin retorted.

As soon as Martin spoke, the lone wolf, Dylan Scott, already walked out.

"Did you really that just because you have an assistant, you're already invincible?" Edwiin laughed.

After Edwiin spoke, he turned around and looked at the middle-aged man. "Uncle Doug, please take care of that person."

"Leave it to me," Uncle Doug nodded.

With that, Uncle Doug took a step forward and looked at Dylan. "Go ahead, kid. You're going to realize who's the stronger one here soon."

Dylan sneered. "You're crazy! People who talk like that to me don't deserve salvation!"

After Dylan spoke, he immediately tried to punch Uncle Doug. However, Uncle Doug dodged and simply shook his head as he said, "Such a clumsy child."

Both of them collided in an instant after Dylan's punch. However, his face was pale as he gritted his teeth. "You're strong. I think you do have some fight left in you, old geezer!"

Ever since Martin met Dylan, he only knew that he lost once from White Shark, whose real name was Drake Moore. However, he never expected that Dylan would get backed up in a corner so easily.

"Who the hell are you?!" Martin asked through gritted teeth.

"I'm Doug Tomlinson, a member of the Tomlinson family," Doug confidently said as he smirked.

"T-The Tomlinson family?!" Morgan exclaimed with a pale look on his face.
