Being the president of a multi-millionaire company, Adrian was used to getting what he wanted. He assumed Jenny wanted Lucas and though he feels bad about it he can't ignore his urges. She's special to have captured Lucas's heart or is she just a bedmate to him? He thought remembering the little one he had years ago. If only she was patient enough to wait for him to buy her from Viola instead she used him to achieve her aim. Though he has forgotten her face after he searched everywhere for her.

He had to do something with himself rather than been obsessed with a teenage girl. He used all means to forget her and it worked but Audrey reminded him of her. He's curious to know-how.

" Jenny, do you know that Lucas has a girlfriend?

" Yeah. She's the manager of the hotel he checked in to"

" What's her name?

" Audrey Zachary; I think she seduced Luke. He takes her everywhere. He tolerates her animalistic behavior. He accepts her waywardness and wildness. She's a she-wolf. Maybe he has been a lover of big ass and hourglass figures. I didn't notice it before. " She lamented sadly

" Audrey Zachary!!! He exclaimed in deep thought. He had heard that name before but when? And how? Her name is familiar. Jenny was staring at him wondering if he has fallen for her as well. That will be a good thing cos all she wanted was Lucas.

" Do you know her? Please tell me she's one of your one-night stands or calls girls. " She assumed as he massaged his temples in deep thought. If she's one of his call girls or one night stands he'd know besides there's no way he'll have such a girl once.

" I didn't know but her name is familiar. "

" Probably because she's been popular from being a hotelier. I am intimidated by her. She's always clinging to him and Lucas allows her. He's so smitten with her. She does whatever she likes " she whined

" Can't you woo her? Make her leave my Lucas for me " she asked woefully

" I don't know but I do want her. She's optimistic. Lucas is overprotective of her. I can't bear to ruin our relationship" he muttered

" Whatever. Get her away from him. " She yelled

" I'll try. I like a challenge" he smiled.

Lucas and Audrey were at the swimming pool for a swim.

" Luke!

" Yes Audrey"

" The detective called me earlier. He said he raided the drug lord already. I'm safe to go home. I miss my home" she muttered

" You don't like living with me? Did I offend you or is intimacy the problem? Perhaps you think you're a kept woman" he urged as she clung to him

" No. of Of course not. I want to go home Luke baby! You said I am free to go when I've healed and I have my love. You know I love being with you and I love our intimate moments." She persuaded

" How about I show you the exit and entrance that you've been dying to know" he suggested. Now that he knows Viola knows she's his woman. He wouldn't risk it.

Audrey was tempted by his offer. She wanted to know the exit and entrance that way, she won't need Bobby or Genevieve keeping eyes on her.

" Are you saying I can go wherever I want and come back anytime too? She asked intrigued

" Yes if you stay with me. I have a car that will suit your style. A Bentley. How about that? He asked cupping her cheeks

" I can go for body therapy too? No Miss Prudence specialties? She asked though Prudence was extremely good at it she needed the chance

"Yes. If that's what you want. You're staying, right? He uttered caressing her wet hair

" Luke, he got me federal protection. I don't want to do this here" she muttered

" You don't need it when I'm here to protect you. If you must insist wait till the year run out. Celebrate Christmas with us. You'll love my family when it's yuletide" he coaxed as she wrapped her hands around his neck.

"You know I love your family. As long as we're together I don't mind spending Christmas with you. Holding carols and Christmas Eve service. I bet this is going to be my best Christmas ever. " She exclaimed making him sigh triumphantly it's difficult convincing women to do his bidding or perhaps Audrey is stubborn

"It's settled then. How is your wound? She asked with concern

" All gone. My doctor did his job perfectly just like you. What are your plans for Christmas since you missed turkey's day" he requested pouring her some warm water

" I'm sorry about Thanksgiving. I just felt it's for families and I don't think I'm part of your family yet" she muttered. She didn't want to intimidate anyone who might think she's just a gatecrasher

" hey, look at me. You're family as a part of me, you're part of my family too and I know they'll love you. You have a likable personality ." He commented making her chuckle

" You're such a sweet talker. You've convinced me I'll think of something but I'm leaving once the year is over. " She said dipping herself into the warm water.

Lucas could tell she wanted some alone time to handle her mom's issue. Is she disgusted with seeking help? Or there's more to unveil? He stared at her swimming wondering what he missed then she splashed water on him

" Join me. What are you thinking about? C'mon, we'll see each other daily. I didn't know you enjoyed my company" she teased. He swam to her stared at her as if reading her soul contemplating if she's hiding something from him after all his efforts to make her trust him. It ruined his mood and he got out of the pool taking his bathrobe.

She watched his retreating back. Did he pick offense because she splashed water on him? He isn't a shallow man but again he could be she thought. Before she could arrange her thoughts he was out of sight. She stayed for some time swimming before she went to her room. There's no understanding of him sometimes.

Dinner was served and everyone was sitting at the dining table except Lucas. Audrey seemed to care less than granny glared at her.

" What happened again, Audrey? I know dating him isn't an easy thing but you promised me. You have to reach out to him every day" she announced which Lucas heard. His face darkens then he retreated his steps walking inside angrily

" Granny, I know and it's not easy taking the blame every time. I haven't failed you so far after all" she said which he heard while leaving

" He loves you, Audrey, he keeps himself busy whenever you're not around. Don't hurt him" she coaxed handing her a tray of food to bring to him. Granny was scared Lucas's anger will initially make her wary of him. She was excited to know he could love someone so dearly. she didn't want her to lose interest in him

" And I love him more. I'll never hurt him intentionally" she promised standing up with the tray. She climbed the stairs to his room and knocked but he said nothing.

She entered his code and it opened. She was glad he didn't change it. She entered the room and set the tray down searching for him that she had to call his number.

She climbed his bed and lay down reading an inspirational book when the door beeped and he stepped in two hours later it's a good thing the ceramics contained vacuum.

" Hey, you didn't come down for dinner so granny said I should bring you dinner," she said stepping down from the bed setting the table.

" I'm not hungry" he refuted grabbing a towel

" I'm sorry for playing that joke on you earlier. Please eat something, my love"

" Did my grandma put you up to this? Are you tolerating me? He asked sullenly as Audrey guilt disappeared when she realized he probably heard them talking

" Hell no. Fine I made a promise to them but it has nothing to do with my feelings for you. Luke, I'm honest with the way I feel for you. " She explained but he wasn't convinced

" Go home, Audrey. You can leave .go to your house. "

" Luke, are you serious? What's wrong with what I did? I couldn't refuse them if you may know they told me you liked me. How would I know what you feel when you didn't show it? I just loved you so much that I decided to give it a try not that I'm expecting anything from it. I wasn't expecting you to marry me anyway. Who is dropping me off? I'm done explaining myself to you every time we fight. You think the worst of me" she heaved stepping away from him

" Bobby will drop you off"

" Whatever. Here have it" she said dropping her new phone

" Audrey, I didn't ask for it and I'm not done talking to you," he said drawing her closer. They have gone far and he knows she does love him. He thought she agreed to date him because she promised his parents and granny.

" I love you, Luke. I didn't accept our relationship base on the promise. I needed to be sure how I felt about you and your parents seemed to want the same thing so I promised them. I didn't expect us to go this far though. Even if you crazed my body then I just wanted to be with the man I love for once. I wanted to experience how it feels to be in love with someone. To my surprise, you felt the same way for me. I'll never take advantage of that my love but if you say otherwise who am I to refuse. " She lamented removing his hands from her waist. She was praying he breaks up with her so that she could focus on bankrupting Ivy. She didn't want him involved and he seemed to suspect her a lot.

Breaking up with him was one thing she couldn't bring herself to do but she thinks she can stay away from him if he did. She can't keep begging for love eventually. She had more important things to do.

Lucas didn't know how to reply her. He drew her closer raising her chin to look at him.

" I love you too Audrey," he said enveloping her in a deep fast kiss undressing her.

The sound of her phone woke her up in the morning. She opened her eyes and found Lucas's space in the bed empty. She frowned. It's the first time he has done so. She picked the call.

" Hello, detective?

" Hi. I have good news and I think you'll love to hear this." He said in excitement

" Don't tell me you caught him? Omg, you did? This calls for a celebration" she dashed out of the bed grabbed her clothes and wore them leaving the room to get dressed

" Yes. when am I expecting you?

" I'm on my way detective. Thank you so much" she said hanging up then had her bath. She climbed down the stairs.

" Miss Audrey, Sir Lucas said I should drop you off. The maids are bringing your bags " said bobby with a stern face.

" My house or my work? She asked surprised since he didn't mention anything about it throughout the night.

" I'm afraid it's your house Miss" he announced as she nodded in understanding. There's no reasoning with him. She wasn't concerned about it so they loaded her bag about to put it in the car trunk when Granny stopped them

" Audrey, are you leaving?

" I don't know. Luke heard what we discussed at the dining table and he's mad at me for it. I thought I got to him yesterday but it seems not. Don't worry Granny he likes girls now. I've to go. I have an appointment" she said pecking heartbroken Granny

" You're not leaving. Take her bags inside. I'll talk to him on your behalf" she promised

" It doesn't matter. I'm sure he's confused right now. Bobby let's go. You can take the bags inside since granny wants it here" she suggested

" Come back later. let's talk or should I call Fiona? I'll call Fiona and Stella then" she said hugging her

" Alright but I don't think I'm coming back today. He doesn't know what to do with me granny you said it already. Bye, I'll call you" she said entering the car while granny watched her leave.

Granny didn't know what to do. If she knew he was around .she wouldn't have mentioned it. Now they're fighting because of her words. She called Fiona to relay the message.

Audrey arrived at the police station and Victor led her in to listen to the interrogation of the drug lord.

She listened as he was asked questions as to why he wants her dead and he confessed Viola put her up to it. He asked why and he didn't say the reason as she was sure she didn't know the reason but he said something like she was her property. He was asked where she was and he didn't say anything about it either. She was glad he was off her back at least. One down. now she can focus on her Aunt.

" Thank you, Victor. This meant a lot to me. Thank you" she kept thanking him that he could tell she had other problems to deal with.

" It's my job. You're free to return to your house if you want to " he suggested as she nodded in agreement

" Yeah. I've missed my cozy bed. Thanks once again" she said stretching her hand for a handshake

" You're welcome," he said shaking hands with her.

" Should I drop you off? He asked picking his car keys

" Aww. Thanks. You've done enough. You have saved me from death itself. I'm grateful" she appreciated taking an Uber to her house. Her friends were glad to welcome her.

" Tell me you're back? Asked Lola happily

" Yes and no. I'm just returning from the police station. The drug Lord was captured and Viola did send him. " She announced as they screamed in happiness

" Thank goodness. That's the only good thing I know Lucas did. Getting her off our backs" said Lola

" Maybe. I'm hungry. Is there food in the house?

" Why aren't you happy? Did you fight with Lukas? Asked Ava worriedly

" It's one of many fights. I just want to focus on my aunt for now. Lucas can wait. I'm tired of hiding things from him I fear I'm losing him to my dishonesty. " She said pouring herself some juice

" What happened? He makes you happy Audrey" said Ava

" He found out I made a promise to his parents and granny. He is upset about it. He made love to me and left me in bed then told his man to drop me off since I said I wanna go home" she lamented almost in tears

" I'm so sorry to hear that. Try and explain to him " coaxed Ava

" It's a good thing you're back home. You need to focus on our partnership with your Aunt. Deal with Lucas later please" said Lola glad she's finally back. She didn't like the fact that she was living with him and could be sent out if she angers him.

" He has every right to be angry. He didn't send me out of the house. I told him I was leaving and we agreed on a particular date and then this happened. " She said woefully

" He'll come around and maybe he'll call you later in the day" Ava consoled

" Don't you dare call him or go to him, Audrey? What he did was wrong. Stay here and don't go back." Advised Lola thinking she's more obsessed with him and he vexes her a girl as curvy and beautiful as Audrey is dying for a man when other men will give any time to have her.

" I don't know if I can but I'll try .who is ready to party. I should celebrate this success" said Audrey urging them to get dressed

" Audrey, it's almost noon and I am not ready to get drunk. We should call Vanessa" suggested Lola

" I don't know .she works for Lucas and I'm afraid I don't have her number on my new phone. " She announced

" Don't worry we do " said Ava dialing her number but it was switched off

" I told you so. Lucas is a strict boss. Make a mess and he fires you. I guess it includes the use of the phone on duty" said Audrey

" Then we'll wait for her up. " Said Lola handing Audrey a plate of cereal

" Has she taken the bait?

" We're partners already. I'm waiting for news" said Ava

" What about you Lola?

" It's on. She's indeed wealthy. I assure you. she won't get away with this. I rather kill her myself" said Lola and she meant it.

" Not yet. My mom is with her until I find her you're not allowed to hurt her. " She said as Lola rolled her eyes

'" Audrey, what if you're wrong? And your mother is dead? Asked Ava

" Then I'll accept the hard truth after all I've mourned her twice now. It will be easy to accept but if she's alive and suffering or maybe still in a coma, I won't be able to live with myself till I find her. I'll do anything to get my mother back. ' she sounded determined and Lola liked it.

" We're with you on this," they said in unison

" I need some sleep. I didn't sleep last night. " Said Audrey yawning making them scoff

" He did quite a number on you" they teased as she ignored them heading to Ava's bedroom to sleep.

Bobby told Lucas her whereabouts for the day.

" The detective got our package. He's prosecuting him already. "

" Was she happy? Asked Lucas

" Yes Sir. You did a lot for her by catching that drug lord. It's a pity she doesn't know what you do for her." Said, bobby

" Yeah. What about the hypnotized fool?

" Still working on it"

" Work faster. I want to focus on other things. Call Adrian. We have something to discuss" he ordered. bobby confirmed it and arranged the meeting.
