Ivy learned of Audrey's deed. She was surprised she went ahead with it. What's she trying to prove? How did she claim the buried corpse without her permission? Without her consent, the dead body wouldn't be released to her. How did she do it? Did she underestimate her? She was still brooding when Viola entered her office.
" What's the matter?
" You said Audrey was dead. You said you killed her you liar" she accused
" How was I supposed to know my men lied huh? They are good at hiding. Did you see her? She feigned innocence. Her plans are working Audrey is pissing her off.
" Yes. She's a worker in Lucas Hamilton's company. She's daring. How did she get such a claim? She wondered
" What happened? Asked Viola hoping all is well
" Nevermind. I can deal with her. She's my niece and I don't want to end her life with my hands. What do I do?
" Leave it to me and I'll end here for you. She's my property anyway"
" You better hide from her unless she'll beat the hell out of you. She's not the naive type anymore. She's arrogant and rude. I fear she's holding herself from something"
" What show we do then? Asked Viola as Ivy's phone rang. They looked at it. It was a call from her. Viola urged Ivy to pick the call.
" Yes, Audrey?
" Where are you I want to see you," she said softly making ivy scared
" I'm out of the country for some business," she said
" When will you return? I just want to talk. Maybe rekindle our relationship. Although you're not trying" she said innocently
" I'm a very busy person Audrey. What about the grave. Did you go ahead with it? She asked though Audrey could tell she heard already
" Yes, I did. You're no longer her guardian but I am" she announced but ivy wasn't offended she was too late anyway. The money is hers and there's nothing she can do about it.
" Okay. It's your right after all. I'll call you when I return" she said sternly
" Alright. I'll keep in touch" she ended the call.
Viola didn't understand what she meant by daring but now she understood. She can't go anywhere when Lucas is unto her. He has increased the number of men searching for her ever since his attack. She couldn't contact anyone but she had one trump card. All she needed is a way to leave the country and a phone call. Which she's working on.
" See what I mean? She's like a serial killer. The way she talks is scary. " Said Ivy massaging her temples
" Then meet her and I'll end here for you. Her blood will be on my hands not yours just like when you sold her to me for three hundred thousand dollars years ago." She reminded her as ivy flinched hearing it.
" That's the worst mistake I have ever made. I would have infected her with some deadly disease instead now she's like a lioness. I'm scared to face her. " She lamented in regret
" Being a prostitute tarnished her image forever. She won't be able to escape it " she said concealing the fact that only one man claimed her
"You're right. She's stained already. That's a good notion but how will it affect her? She asked cluelessly. What does being a slut got to do with her nonchalant behavior and intimidating personality. She didn't see sense in it
" Time will tell. Why are you so scared of her by the way? Did you steal something from her? I guess you did. You sold her into prostitution anyway what exactly did you steal from her" she persuaded even she had no idea
" Shut up Viola and know your place. I'll tell you if you tell me what you did to piss Lucas off he's searching for you. One move from you and I'll let him find you " she announced shutting viola up. She had no idea she knew about that. It's not a secret that she married his brother but how did she know he was looking for her? She isn't safe here been outsiders were more dangerous because Audrey and Lucas want her dead. She knows who to go with. Ivy will do for now till she thinks of a way to make contact.
" Sorry Ivy I didn't mean to offend you. Deal with your niece your self" she said returning to her room
" Whatever. I wasn't asking for your opinion. All I want is the forensic scientist's name and address. " She said leaving to find a private investigator for it.
Audrey returned from LA and went to her friends. They received her warmly.
" The hotel transferred you here right? Asked Lola leading her to sit on a chair
" Yeah. I refused the transfer. " She said bluntly as they hummed winking at her
" There's no Lucas there right? Who knew you'll be head over heels in love with a man " teased Ava holding her hands
" You got me good. Did I tell you girls about my aunt right? She said my mom died but I don't believe her. I found out why she sold me Ava" she announced as they sat properly eager to hear it
" You did? Why did she do such a cruel thing to you? Asked Ava affectionately
" Money girls. Greed. She became greedy after learning of my dad's savings for my birthday and tuition. My dad deposited five hundred thousand dollars to my account yearly till I clock twenty-one" she announced making them petrified
" Half a million years for twenty-one years? Audrey you were Born to be a millionaire" said Lola shocked
" She sold you out to confiscate everything to herself. What a greedy bitch" cursed Ava furiously.
" She sold my parent's house and my dad's workshop. You know my dad was an orphan I guess she took advantage of that" she stated in anger
" That's terrible. We should kill her once and for all then relocate" said Lola cocking her gun
" It's not that simple. She's wealthy. I don't think the bank will release such an amount of money to her without a signature from my mom. Therefore I think my mom is still alive. What other reason will she need my mom alive? " Suggested Audrey thinking of how to stimulate her
" What about I sign a contract with her. She's new to the business. She's looking for investors. " Said Ava grinning
" Let the game begin. You should certainly do that after all, you're famous" she grinned
" Didn't she steal from you? How about bankrupting her " suggested Lola
" Yeah. I wanted to confront her. I want her to show her true colors" she asked
" Good idea. We'll cover for you. Let's wait till she comes to Ukraine" Ava suggested
" Lucas is the problem. He has eyes everywhere. I'm sure he knows I'm back already" said Audrey
" Then tell him you want to come home to us. You're safe and sound and convince him that Victor got you a federal protection" Lola suggested not liking the idea of her living with him
" Good idea. I'll certainly do that" she smiled. Here comes her freedom.
They chatted for a while then she went to the stone house to see Lucas who was sitting outside the house having his siestas. He was told she returned already and where she went afterward.
She entered the compound and ran to him that he had to stand up from the chair. she hugged him like he was the one returning from a trip. He held her tight spinning her to see if she lost weight.
" Are you that happy to be in my arms? He asked still holding her waist making her chuckle. It seems he missed her more.
She smiled and kissed him slightly but he wasn't satisfied with it so he deepened the kiss.
" I missed you Luke" she muttered between his lips which made him smile. Hell, she's going to make up for those two months. He led her into the house asking after the hotel.
