Viola was discovered by Lucas that she was the one after Audrey though the drug lord didn't state the reasons. He assumed it was because of him. The only person that knows viola was Adrian cos he introduced her to his late brother Adrian entered his office and sat down wondering why he called him.

" This is new. Are we friends now? He asked crossing his legs resting his back on the seat

" Listen while I talk Adrian. It's no news that you introduced Viola to Preston. " He sipped his coffee wondering where Lucas is going with this

" I assume you have met her over the years"

" Maybe. Where are you going with this?

" You've met her and you didn't tell me? You know she killed Preston"

" She denied everything. Lucas your brother died a normal death. From a car accident. Let it go"

" That's nonsense. My brother Preston doesn't know how to drive. That's one thing you don't know. I guess she was ignorant as well" he stated. Adrian was shocked. He froze in his place trying to understand what he just said

" Are you certain?

" I'm no fool, Adrian. Now, where did you find her? He asked sarcastically

" In Asia. She owned a brothel. " He announced still in shock

" of course you patronized her. Let me know when next you find her. I guess that's all" he uttered keeping the part that he found her and she escaped from him. Something doesn't feel right about him. His instincts kept telling him not to trust him.

" That's all? Okay! Luke, it's time you move on from the past. Let it go. Accept his death as your grandfather did"

" Is it a warning? I assure you that I am not my brother that a woman can use or my grandfather that is trustworthy and hospitable. Try me you bastard" he exclaimed staring daggers at him

" I assume you weren't expecting me to uphold my dad's legacy maybe you were expecting my weak father to be in charge. If I find out you're involved in Preston's death? I'll personally take care of you gladly" he stated callously as Adrian believed every word he said. He doesn't bluff and doesn't give an empty threat

" I can't believe you still think so shallow of me. We were like brothers and Preston was like a big brother to me. What will I gain from it? Luke, we're supposed to be friends. I agree I wasn't expecting you to return from the states but that doesn't mean I don't wish you well. I'm glad you're back" he remarked

" That will be all. Get out Adrian" he ordered without batting an eye

" Fine. You know I like you. When all this is over I hope we'll still be friends. " He said standing up taking a last look at him and left in deep thought.

He heaved a sigh of relief and resumed his work when his phone rang and he checked it, hesitated, then picked it.

" Yes, mom?

" What did you do to that poor girl? She isn't to blame. I pleaded with her because I know she likes you. Don't you dare ridicule her? She's my daughter now. you better get used to it" snapped Fiona as Lucas listened to her rantings

" Was I that miserable that you have to beg her to make a promise?

" Yes, Luke. You finally liked a girl and you brought her home. I wasn't ready to lose her like that. You're almost thirty Luke. We need grandchildren and you had no intention of giving us one. We had to do it"

" I would have thought of it later in life or get a surrogate mother"

"I don't want that kind of life for you. My grandchildren will have the love of both parents which I know you lacked" she intercepted

" Then have other kids and leave me alone. " He snapped

" Nope. I'm waiting for you. Apologize to that poor girl. I want to see her when next I visit. I like her for you. She's such a darling. "

" Whatever. See you soon. Say hello to Dad" he said hanging up. He massaged his brows contemplating whether to call her or not. He knows she might be upset. He shrugged his shoulder and resumed work as his phone rang. He looked at it and picked it.

" Yes, Audrey!

" Are you busy? Should I call you later?

" Speak I'm listening" he urged

" The police caught the drug lord and he confessed to his crimes. I have returned home with your order. Bye"

" Is that all? Are you angry I left you alone?

" Bye Luke" she hung up abruptly. She just wanted him to know since she's his enemy too.

He was surprised she ended the call. She's still upset he concluded.

Adrian thought of what Lucas said and called Viola but it wasn't reachable then he called a few of her colleagues and was told Viola was in hiding. He was surprised to hear about the destruction of her brothel. Did Lucas find her? Did she kill Preston Hamilton? Did Viola lie to him? Did she use him for business? She's going to get it. It seems he and Lucas has a mutual enemy which makes them friends.
