It was another day. A day Audrey picked to see her parents again. A day she was going to mourn her demised mother and father. She never really got a chance to mourn her dad much as her mom prevented anyone from mentioning his name before her coma.

She picked up her phone and called Ivy who picked up quickly.

" Hello Aunt Ivy, I'll love to see them now" she stated in despair holding herself from swearing at her.

" Alright. Let's meet in a few minutes. I'll take you there" she said

" No. Send me the address and I'll go there myself. " She refused. She doesn't trust her anyway

Ivy sneered does she think she wants her dead? If she wanted her dead she would have killed her years ago but now?. It could work she concluded.

" Alright. I'm sending it now" she exclaimed making Audrey wonder how she Concurs so easily

" I'll be waiting" she mentioned ending the call. Now, what will she tell Lucas? Better still she could use work as an excuse and she needed a gun. A very good one with plenty of lives to take. Lucas must have it she concluded deciding to get it that day since he wasn't at home at the moment.

She went to his room, searching the whole bedroom but found nothing then she decided to search his study. She searched for hours but nothing still then something caught her attention as she was going to take a look, her butt pressed a shelf and it opened. She was shocked seeing different ammunition. Weapons '" she murmured taking her time to pick her choice. She took two small guns and some daggers then took a long barrel for protection. Now how to smuggle it out. She took extra ammo and lock it back. Lucas is a complicated man she concluded.

She was thankful for the less security in the house. She took it to her room and brought out a suitcase and loaded it with some clothes along with the ammo.

After all, she was going to return it. She recalled leaving her passport in her house so she decided to use the sea though the sea takes more time.

She called Vanessa to tell her to smuggle the luggage out of the house for her which she did.

" Where are you going, Audrey? Asked Vanessa worriedly

" Somewhere. I'll be back in a few days. Just don't say anything" she warned

" Won't sir Lucas worry?

" I know. I'll be back before then. I have to do this and if he's that mad then I'll have to rely on you for something but I have to do this. It means a lot to me, Vanessa"

" Should I come with you? She asked suddenly worried about her

" no. I can handle it " she said boarding an Uber.

Vanessa watched as the Uber disappeared into the horizon and sighed calling Ava and Lola

" Hello Vanessa, what's up? Asked Ava

" Girls, I'm worried about Audrey. She took a suitcase. I think she's going out of town"

" Why? Did she tell you where? Asked Lola

" No. She seemed unsure like she's walking into a danger zone "

" When did this happen? Asked Ava worriedly as Vanessa narrated it to them.

" Did she go with her phone? Or do you know Uber's plate number? Asked Lola as Vanessa called it out to them.

" Thanks, Vanessa. She'll be fine. I'll take care of it. " Said Lola ending the call.

They quickly traced the car and were surprised it was heading to the seaport. They got dressed and took their licensed gun leaving the house.

Audrey reached the seaport and embarked on the ship taking her bag with her. America was a long distance from Europe. She switched off her phone before Lucas starts calling. This is her chance to finally put things behind her .she can face ivy afterward .she better have a good explanation.

Lucas returned home and asked after her as usual. He was told she wasn't home. he called her but it didn't connect. He panicked thinking something might have happened to her. He called Bobby.

" Sir, I went early to pick her from work but was told she left already. " He said dejectedly

" She left In a taxi? When? He asked

" Earlier than her closing time. " He announced as Lucas massaged his temples thinking. If she left it means she was okay. But why didn't she tell him she was going somewhere. He became more suspicious of her. She's hiding something from him. He has investigated her but found nothing suspicious. Her parents were truly dead and her schooling too. But he felt something wrong.

Audrey reached the city after two weeks as she boarded a local ship because of the ammunition. It's a good thing she took extra cash.

She lounged in a hotel to rest and picked up her phone looking at it contemplating whether to call Luke or not cos she was missing him. Instead, she sent him a text through her laptop. She ended up sending him several messages as he didn't reply.

It was morning and she called ivy.

" I'm here .where are you? She asked as viola picked up the call listening on. She smiled

" I'm on my way or will you prefer to come to my house? Asked ivy

" No. Let's meet in the park then you'll take me there" she said ending the call.

She waited at the park for hours and noticed some black cars and frowned. Well her aunt was going to get it. She moved to another side of the park.

She tried running to a closed place and they followed. It's a good thing people were still moving. She moved to a busy place and kept doing so till they left. Her aunt called her

" I'm at the park. where are you? I have been waiting for hours now" Audrey frowned and peep to see if she was there and saw her standing. After much contemplation to detect if it was a trap or not. She spoke

" Stay there. I'm on my way" she moved around till she was standing face to face with ivy.

" Took you a while to reappear" she exclaimed

" I have been here since. Let's go. I'm a busy woman" she said sternly

" I wonder how that happened. If I remember correctly. You were just a bar hostess years ago. What changed? You didn't get married and certainly didn't win a lottery with that brain of yours " she said callously

" Have you lost your tenacity? I'm your aunt: years older than you. The person who took care of your sick mother till date " she snapped fed up with her callous words

" Till date? Is my mom still alive? Did you lie to me? She asked as ivy realized what she said

" Of course not. Follow me and see for yourself" she said leading her to a cemetery.

They paced till she saw a slate with her parent's names engraved on it. She knelt touching their slate especially her mom's. Crying all the pain and blame at the same time.

Ivy watched the sorrowful scene and pretended to console her.

" Come now, child. I did all I could to help her. We both know how much she loved your father. She wouldn't have last a day anyway. I'm so sorry " she sniffled

" Go away. Leave me alone. I want to be alone with my parents. Go away" she yelled between sobs. Ivy was terrified at her screams and left reluctantly afterward. She kept looking back till she left.

Audrey dropped the flowers she bought on top of their grave and sat down crying narrating her life ordeal with them and how much she missed them even if they didn't love her enough.

She told them about Lucas and her affection for him and how scared she was to tell him her past. She told them about Ava, Lola, and Vanessa and how they saved her from prostitution. She shared her joy and sorrows with them crying all day that Ava and Lola couldn't watch anymore but embraced her. She didn't care who it was. Maybe she assumed it was her parents. She hugged them weeping bitterly.

It was getting dark.

" Audrey, you've seen them let's go home. You've been away for days now. The hotel might find a replacement" said Lola helping her up while wiping her tears

She looked at them and wept more

" I know. I want to spend some time with them. I haven't seen them for eight years now. My dad died since I was twelve. I miss him" she voiced touching his name

" We know Audrey. Please let's get out of here. It's creepy and it's getting dark. I'm terrified of the dark" coaxed Ava as she nodded

" How did you find me? She asked sniffling

" Vanessa called. We were worried about you. Don't ever go anywhere without us. Lucas has taken you from us" whined Ava making Audrey chuckle a bit.

" He didn't. It's me who wants to live with him. Let's go. I'll visit them tomorrow before I leave for Ukraine" she started walking out of the cemetery.

They were about to hire an Uber when gunshots were fired at them though it hit the wall instead.

" Great," said Ava hoping police won't have to arrest them. They fired back but were losing then Audrey brought out a barrel and fired at their tires. She did the same to the remaining three and watched the cars screeching to hold the brake.

They stopped by a taxi and went to the hotel.

" Who was that? Viola or your aunt? Asked Lola changing her clothes

" I don't know. We're leaving first thing tomorrow morning after saying goodbye to my parents. If it's my aunt I need to know why she wants me dead. It can't be viola. Unless there are boys at her command" said Audrey checking her pc for messages but saw none. It seems he's upset with her. She's been messaging him for days now.

" You came prepared," said Ava

" I don't trust her. That's one of the reasons I didn't use air transportation. It's illegal" she murmured.

Lucas opened his messages and saw her annoying text as he calls them. What's the need for sending annoying text messages when she couldn't tell him where she went for the past two weeks now. She switched off her phone and expects him to reply to her? Is he a teenager in love? That's the problem with women, tell them you love them and they'll think you can't live without them. He closed it with annoyance tossing it away then opened it, read the more than a hundred text messages, and sneered. Lies. She's lying to him he snapped.
