Adrian Emerson massaged his brows thinking of how to approach the arrogant aloof Lucas who doesn't take bribes.

" What is it, Adrian? Asked Lucas exhausted from sitting long though he stood up sometimes

" My company's contract. That wasn't what we agreed on? He stated with disappointment evident in his tone.

" Take it or leave it. I'm not my grandfather and you're not your father. So stick to what I have to offer or get out of my company" he snapped

" We agreed on ten twenty-five years contract. You signed just five"

" That's because I have to be thorough. This company is a hundred and fifty years old. Have you seen any company that has stayed as my investors with that amount of service? " He asked but Adrian didn't think so. His father and grandfather made a pact to be partners forever. He can't change it within a few years of his inauguration.

" But we had a pact"

" Not we. My late grandfather and your father, not me. He entrusted this company to me cos he knew my decisions are final.. so leave with it. That's final. Your performance for the past few years is lacking. Let me watch for some time. If you will improve I'll boost it but if not. You won't get a year from me. I don't care who you are. The same goes for all my investors. " He said as the last warning standing up

" Preston was better than you," he said suddenly making Lucas growl

" Don't mention his name, you bastard. You introduced that bitch to him. Shut your mouth or you'll regret it" he cursed standing with him

" All I'm asking for is a contract, Luke. Why are you still holding grudges" he said softly

" Five years Adrian. There's nothing to it. Impress me. I'm not my grandfather or grandmother. I'm in charge here. " He said ushering I'm out of his conferences hall

" What happened Luke, we use to be best friends?

" You know the answers. We were never friends just neighbors" he said leading him out.

Adrian Sneered. Was Lucas always this domineering or he just hates him. His thoughts brightened seeing Audrey entering the elevator. Her shape gave her away as he wondered who she was. he has never seen her in the company before. She's the sexiest beautiful girl he has ever seen. He wanted to know her name but recalled how she kicked him out of the hotel and sneered he's going to enjoy fuc**** her brains off.

Audrey followed ivy into the elevator and changed the elevator route to the balcony where she can tame her. Ivy thought she pressed her location as Lucas doesn't allow security guards into his company. The elevator stopped as ivy waited for her to leave but nothing happened.

" Hello aunt ivy," said Audrey as she turned to see who is talking. She was confused cos she looked nothing like the Audrey she knew but those eyes it's her she murmured.

" What? Don't recognize me? Have I changed that much? She asked nonchalantly standing with her as she was a head taller than ivy

" Audrey? She called with uncertainty

" Bingo. You have indeed become a millionaire. Am sure you took care of my mother. She's awake right?. She asked as ivy searched for answers

" Yeah, but your mother couldn't make it. She passed away shortly after you went missing" she announced

" I see. Can I see her grave? I want to mourn her and my dad. It's been long I saw them" she said feigning innocence

" I ... I moved from that town already. I'm not sure where she was buried. You know your mother was catholic so your dad's family did her funeral." She stated

' Are you saying you didn't go to my mom's funeral? Did you give her corpse to someone else? She snapped as ivy elaborated

" It was her wish to be buried alongside your father. i was following orders" she said quickly

' whatever. Tell me her burial ground. I want to see her" she stated in grief

" Why don't I get your number. I'll call you when I inquiry about it" she said feigning an apology

" Give me yours. How long did you look for me again? She asked jokingly. ivy was about to say something but she cut in

" Years right? You must have looked for me everywhere" she stated pretending to be understanding

She doesn't need a soothsayer to tell her she doesn't mean well for them. Her shocked face is a prove. She wanted her gone forever and she wasn't happy to see her. She looked like she saw a ghost. She was suspicious of her but there's time for her to know everything. She just wanted to know if her mother was dead. She stared at ivy who was still in shock and pressed the elevator buttons to go down.

" How have you been? Where did you go? I looked everywhere for you. I'm so glad you're okay" she exclaimed making Audrey disgusted

" Whatever. Give me the card" she said taking her purse to get it.

" I'll call you. You better be right"

' of course. Do you work here? She asked in anticipation

" Yes. " She said getting off the elevator to Lucas's office.

Ivy wiped her eyes severally to check if her eyes were deceiving her. Audrey is alive and grown. She has to befriend her. Yes. By showing her parent's grave. She left in deep thought.

Audrey entered Lucas's office and it was silent. She decided to join Genevieve in the guest room

" Can't see in the dark? Join me" said Lucas tapping the space beside him

" So this is your mini room. " She exclaimed lying with him snuggling to match his height

' you did great today" he commented rubbing her back

" Anything for you"

" Wanna go home?.

' Gen is asleep. Bobby is with his woman"

" Then I'll drive"

' go to sleep Audrey" he said holding her closer pecking her forehead before sleep took over.
