It's a Saturday morning. She dashed out of bed with the notion of finding clues once and for all. There's so much she wished to know and ivy isn't going anywhere till she answered her.
She had her bath and got ready to visit Lucas's office. She picked her favorite pieces of jewelry though Prudence didn't tell her where she got them from. Perhaps she'll ask her next time.
She opened her wardrobe looking for what to wear to the odd anniversary that involves the signing of papers and not a party though she was told it was going to be a dinner party. a luncheon.
She called Lola but her line was engaged. Did Lucas detonate her line again? Hell, he did. She wondered how he does it.
Picking a dinner gown was harder than she thought. So she chose a pink slit dress and wrapped her hair in a bun .she was terrible at getting dressed for parties then Mrs. Fiona and Stella came in carrying a box.
" Having trouble with what to wear? They asked staring at her grinning
" Yeah but I'm done," she said shyly
" Nope..let me," said Mrs. Fiona she wanted to protest but saw the gorgeous floral design on the off-shoulder dress she was holding. She saw the price tag and froze. It's more expensive than her latest car.
" Uhum. You were saying. " Said Stella sitting her down. She changed into a beautiful dress and twirl. Wow . she fell in love with the dress.
" You look fantastic," said Stella envious of her hourglass figure
" Lucas got big eyes" she joked
They did her makeup and hairstyle. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave a thumb up to them.
" Enjoy yourself," they said in unison.
" Thanks" now she just hopes Luke doesn't eat her inside the avoidable car.
Jenny was made the secretary by Bobby. So they were going together.
Audrey emerged from the house Bobby opened the door for her to step inside the car.
" Hmm" he hummed mad at the fact that all eyes are going to be on her in the conference room
" How do I look? She asked as he didn't comment on her beauty as always
" Your normal self," he said sternly as Genevieve giggled. Audrey frowned and arranged his tie properly
" Next time I'm going to knot your tie," she said proudly resting her head on the chair.
Lucas looked at her closed eyes admiring her. She does look stunning.
" Audrey, are you sleeping? He tapped her as she yanked his hands off
" Let me be. I'm doing a lot already" she said making him scoff. She's such a drama queen. He concluded minding his business
" Wake me up will you? She said but he ignored her. She lay on his lap
" This way you won't forget" she chuckled touching his jaw from below
They arrived at the company and Lucas was about to alight when Audrey raised her head. It's a good thing she was a light sleeper. She stepped out and looked at the spacious glass building in front of her. She imagined how the inside will be.
" Stop gawking. It's my grandfather's. " He said like he didn't ask to be president
" Wow," she exclaimed keeping up with him as he was surrounded by his employees reporting the event memo to him one by one. As expected there were no ladies so the director thought Audrey was one of the staff.
" You there. Go to your duty post or you'll lose your job" he said as Audrey looked for who he was talking to.
' I'm talking to you. How dare you walk with us with the president around. Do you want to lose your job? He said angrily raising his hands at her
Audrey stood still confused. Are women treated as such in his company? No human rights for them? That's wrong. The slap was about to land on her face when she held it and twist it in anger.
Lucas who was busy checking the reports looked her way and sneered. Why does she act like a shrew every time? He pulled her into an elevator as Genevieve followed while the director screamed.
" He was about to hit me' she quickly defended herself as he stopped the elevator
" He did? He asked angrily
' yes but let it go. He's suffering already' she coaxed standing in his way before he makes him a mute
' fine. I'll deal with him later" he said pressing the elevator.
She looked around the luxurious apartment in gape. she couldn't believe her eyes at the architectural design and furniture. Then her eyes caught a glimpse of a big frame of her and him at the cruise but she didn't think so.
' you're acting strange today Audrey" he said sitting down
" Am I? You Practically live in paradise whether at home or work. No wonder you made my life a living hell at the hotel" but he wasn't listening. He was cross-checking the companies with an expired contract. She rolled her eyes and continued her tour.
' Audrey sugar, we're here to work and I'm paying you which means we're not dating right now" he voiced as she chuckled. Not dating but he called her sugar. who does that?
" Then you won't mind mixing work with pleasure my lovely CEO' she said sitting on his lap with her chest pressed on his.
" Beautiful Audrey. can you have mercy on me today? He said as he began to harden
" Maybe. Genevieve is in the other corner of the room. " She said kissing his neck. He looked tense she just wants to relieve his stress.
" Just say you want to make out with me in my office" he queried as she smiled unknotting his tie which she's quite good at now.
He kissed her slowly dropping her on the table while standing between her parted legs running his hands on her body.
Genevieve sneered. Audrey makes out with him anywhere. What is she thinking she wondered? She can't imagine been like that in a thousand years or maybe she could if Lucas notice her but no right. Then in a thousand years. She sorts out the expired contracts and rearranged them as they make out like she wasn't there.
Lucas pulled her off-shoulder dress from her shoulder staring at her bare chest which was without a bra.
" What? She asked looking at her chest also
" Nothing. I thought you wore a bra" he murmured raining kisses on her clavicles
" It doesn't go well with this dress." She said wrapping her legs around him
He resumed kissing her cupping her boobs as she dropped his sleeves on the floor running her hands on his bare chest.
They made out for some minutes then stopped panting.
" You still tense? She asked checking his eyes
" Remind me not to bring you along next time. Now I have to go home with a boner" he picked his sleeves and wore them it then his suit jacket
" I'm going home with you .so you won't have a boner at home. We can finish this when we get home" she said helping him with the tie
" It's a good thing it's a handmade suit. Or you would have killed me" she lamented as he pulled her dress up kissing her boobs.
" You're a baby Luke" she chuckled as ivy entered from their side of the office shocked. Lucas was still between her legs. Audrey was backing the door. so she didn't see her face but recognized her voice.
" Sorry, Sir. I didn't mean to intrude" she apologized severally
" How dare you barge into my office? Do you have a death wish? He said pressing the guard's bell
" Sir, I came to tell you that the old investors are here to see you." She said in fear .his secretaries were scared to deliver the message or make a call as Bobby always relayed such messages. He's scary at work.
" Get out. I'll cut that five years to two years. Get lost" he cursed as she left with a gloomy face.
Audrey wanted so badly to turn her face but she couldn't. She didn't know if her aunt sold her which will endanger her life
" Sorry, I think we should get to work now," she said stepping down from the table sorting her dress out.
" Are you okay? He asked after calming down.
" She's a nosy bitch" he cursed holding her waist
She sat on his lap as he showed her what to do to help him. She smiled as he added Ivy's contract to it.
The luncheon commenced. some board members initiated new strategies and development while some declined giving reasons. Adrian was busy staring at Audrey who was sitting by Lucas operating his laptop while it displays on the big screen. He has been looking at her since she entered the room with him.
Though some staff and investors weren't comfortable with a staff displaying their contract they dare not say or he won't renew their contract.
He listened to them and urged them to look up to know which contract he was renewing and the ones he wasn't and the accepted strategies. Bobby went forward to explain why he declined some strategies and contracts like that of ivy for barging into his office if after two years she proved to be worthy he'll increase it.
The meeting took long as the contract was much though some investors were unhappy he compensated them. Ivy kept looking at Audrey but Lucas was far away from her as she was in the last seat because she came last as an investor.
The old investors were attended to first before the others. They were served dessert later on. The meeting ended at ten in the night. Audrey and Genevieve were exhausted from operating the computer all day.
Everyone dismissed leaving just Adrian and Lucas sitting opposite each other.
Bobby told Audrey and Genevieve to rest in the guest room. Audrey saw it as an opportunity to talk to ivy.
