Chapter 59: Chapter 59

The hotel was busy like every other day as important clients kept checking in and out. She was cross-checking the arraignments when something caught her attention Jenny and Adrian were both looking at her.

She found out the intense gaze was from their table. She froze .her heartbeat increased but Adrian just kept a firm face. Jenny saw her expressions and thought she was surprised to see her with a very important person. She called her.

" Manager, come over here," she said coldly as Adrian ate his food

Audrey walked to her nervously though she tried to hide it still she couldn't. She wasn't scared of him, she was just scared of what he might say.

" Yes Miss," she said politely. she may hate her but in here she's a client.

" I don't like the dessert can I get another? Please see to it yourself, you wouldn't want to keep my cousin waiting"

" Of course," she said leaving Adrian stared at her retreating back and pondered. Why does she look familiar.?why can't he keep his eyes off her? He shook it off. Now is not the time to fool around.

Audrey heaved a sigh of relief. It seems he doesn't remember her. That's a good thing. She quickly disposed of her tag name.

She moved to another box to avoid him and saw her worst enemy stepping out of the door. It was Ivy her aunt. She chased after but they boarded the car before she came out. She drove out as well ready to catch up to them but there was traffic immediately they passed. She damn the consequences beating traffic then the sirens followed as she was driving too fast. They chased her for almost an hour making her lose her target. She decided to pay them back by racing them to a dead end.

They alighted and cuffed her asking her questions while checking her ID card. She told them she was in a hurry but they took their time before letting her go. They warned her and she returned to work dejectedly.

There goes her chance of seeing her parents again. If her mother was dead she wanted to visit her grave and grovel to them.

She wanted to know where they were buried. She sat, about to lit a cigarette when Adrian collected it.

" Thank you," he said liting it while he puffs smokes out

She was confused. Here comes another trouble. He took a seat beside her looking for a tag name but there were none on her uniform.

" No name?. He asked puffing out smokes .she just stared at him wondering if life is that Short. He hasn't changed after seven years. He's still the bossy type. Running after anything in a skirt.

" I'm very busy Sir," she said standing up to resume her duty

" Sit your butt down" he ordered. Women should be tamed and treated like slaves he thought. a lesson he learned when she used him to escape.

" I don't know who you think you are. I don't answer you. You have no right to order me around. Have a nice day" she snapped taking a step to leave. He grabbed her and puffed smokes of cigarettes in her face standing an inch away from her.

" You're not going anywhere till I say so" he sneered staring dead at her.

After seven years Audrey changed a lot, her hair color, height, and figure that he couldn't recognize her.

" Let me go or I'll call security on you" she warned but it didn't move him as he stoops his ground still smoking

" What's your name? He asked again with a grin

" Let me go," she said forcefully relieving her hand from his

" Feisty one but you're no match for me," he said dragging her to the exit

" Where are you taking me? She inquired

" To have fun. That's what your delicious body was made for"

Did Jenny put him up to it? There's no way she'll let him harass her again. She used her heels and stomped on his feet as he groans from the pain letting her go.

" Security, take this man out of here and remember to have him blacklisted' she ordered. The hotel was her domain. Her words were final. The muscly security guards dragged him out of the building.

She embarrassed him big time but he wasn't done with her yet. He drove out of there in deep thought.

Audrey sighed then Xander walked to him

" You do know what you're doing right? Because you just kicked one of our biggest clients out and blacklisted him"

" I don't know him as a client. He was harassing me. So yes I did" she said proudly. That was a chip of the iceberg compared to the pains he inflicted on her.

" Not Adrian Emerson," he said. So that's his name she pondered no wonder he picked the letter A. She made a mental note on it and resumed her job.

She was more concerned about her aunt. so she accessed the security footage to see who she was meeting then saw a man. She zoomed in and ran his face on the face recognition database and read his identity including his place of work. She tried to think where she has seen it but couldn't. The company's name was difficult so she checked it on the net and found out it was Lucas company.

God help her luck. It's easy to find her but she has to find out her schedule with Lucas board members. Easy peasy she shouts.

She devised a plan and was ready to put it into action. Thank her stars she picked the right profession instead of sitting in a chair all day signing papers.

She closed for the day and went home. Just this last thing and she'll tell him the truth.

She went home late as Bobby didn't arrive in the nick of time. She stepped in and found them already seated at the dining table. She pecked everyone as she was in good mood and kissed Lucas who was surprised to see her so happy.

" How was work? Asked Mr. Hamilton

" Fine Sir. Sorry I'm late"

" It's Bobby's fault," said granny urging her to eat.

She drew a chair beside granny and they ate while chatting something Audrey taught them as she wasn't used to the silent treatment of the rich and they complied with her request. Now they think it's a good idea.

Audrey retired to the room with Lucas who couldn't wait to know what the occasion was.

" You look happy. What happened? He asked noticing the necklace he bought around her neck and the bracelet too.

" Something thrilling but I won't tell you yet". She said holding his waist

" It's my wish to see you happy" he smirked

" Does that mean I get the map of the house? The exit and entrance actually" she requested as he hummed in disagreement

" I won't run away. I don't like stressing your PA and friend" she said whining tugging on his shirt

" I'll think about it. I hope you're free on Saturday" he asked. It's another party she sneered

" What's the occasion? She still asked to please him

" It's my company's anniversary and I have hundreds of contracts to sign that day. I need an extra pair of eyes' he said cupping her cheeks

" I'm not good with it besides Bobb is there to support. Genevieve too. " She blatantly refused

" You're a very smart lady Audrey. Don't degrade yourself. I'll pay you for your work. I need the people I can trust" he said piquing her interest. He should have said so earlier. He wants her there because he trusts her? Wow, that's a new leap.

She smiled pecking him.

" Alright. I'll be there" now that she thought of it. It's an opportunity to find out more about her aunt.

" Good. I've things to do at the study" he stated breaking contact.

" You do that I'll be in my room," she said leaving.
