Lucas saw her torn dress and was emotionally aggrieved for her sake thinking Genevieve torn her dress. He wondered if she was hurt. She opened the co-pilot seat to avoid his anger.
" What do you think you're doing? " He asked puzzled.
She cleared her throat and jammed the door opening the back seat, sat quietly giving him enough space.
Lucas was intrigued. Is she this cool? She looks like a wet puppy. Bobby drove off.
" I'm sorry I left earlier" she spoke after a long time of silence
" Ava had menstrual cramps. I had to check on her. * She cleared her throat again peeking a glimpse of him. He didn't seem angry.
It's a good thing he wasn't. She scooted closer to him resting on his shoulder. He didn't push her away so she clung more touching his perfectly shaved jaw.
He looked at her and smiled.
" I'm sorry about Genevieve Luke. I don't know what came over me" she apologized murmuring
" I don't want you fighting with anyone. Behave like a lady. You're not a gangster. You could be charged" he warned
" Yes sir. I'm just twenty-four Luke. I have a lot to learn my love' she pouted unknotting his tie
" How was the party? What did I miss? She asked resuming caressing his jaw
" Didn't you run away from it? Don't ask" he snapped suddenly agitated that he didn't get to have a dance with her.
" My bad. I'm sorry" she said sounding wronged as the victim
" Were you hurt? " He asked checking her making her smile. She wondered what happened to the aloof, sarcastic, annoying Lucas she knew.
" Your clothes are torn' he said gazing at her exposed thighs
" From the fight. Prudence is going to kill me" she giggled as it started raining.
" Bob stop the car. Luke my love let's dance in the rain. I missed a dance with you today. Let me make it up to you* she said. Bob stopped and she alighted dragging Lucas out.
" Audrey, it's embarrassing" he protests but she was busy taking his suit jacket off
" It's not nice to refuse a lady. Ask me for a dance luke" she said laughing.
He growled and stretched his hands asking for a dance.
" May I have this dance beautiful Audrey? He winked as she laughed putting her hands on his gradually. Bob played soft music and they were dancing in the rain while he relaxed inside the car watching them hoping he could experience it with Vanessa someday.
The wet couples danced and danced with Lucas twirling her now and then. They swayed to the music giggling and laughing for the first time she saw Lucas's white teeth laughing out loud. She was jealous of his perfectly arranged teeth. Lucas noticed her intense gaze and drew her closer.
" I love you, Audrey. " He professed to kiss her plump lips before she could react to his confession.
Having been waiting for him to confess his love to her for long but she was scared once he did. The deeper the love the more it hurts. She quotes or so she read. A sneeze snapped her out of her fantasy.
" You caught a cold again. Let's go home and I'll call the doctor" he suggested not ready to repeat the circumstances of tending to her fever during the cruise. He almost lost it thinking she won't make it
" Luke, I'm fine with you here. I'm not cold." She sneezed again
" Alright, maybe a little. Tell me something romantic look. Describe how you feel about me and when you fell in love with me. Tell me, Luke. Spoil me a little" she giggled stroking her nose with his gently staring at him.
He spanked her ass and she winced
" Don't be silly Audrey. It took me so much effort to say it to you"
" Just a little. " She insisted but he wasn't going to say a word
" I'll try someday. I don't know what to say. It's been long I left the love game" he announced pecking her softly
" I love sweet words. I love you too luke" she said about to kiss him but sneezed again. Bobby was bored so he did a camera roll on them. It's not every day he gets to witness Lucas professing his love to a woman.
" Let's go. " He said leading her to the car.
" Turn the heater on Bob she's cold" he announced as Bob turned it on. He dropped the shaft warming her up with his touches.
" I'm ok luke. " She said hoarsely
" Shut your mouth. " He snapped running his hands on her body. She's never bathing inside the rain again he vowed.
It was dawn by the time they reached home. Audrey's dress wasn't wet anymore. He helped her out of the car as a group of people came out to welcome them.
" They're back. Our beautiful couples are back. Just look at her Stella, isn't she a world beauty" said granny to her granddaughter who helped Audrey into the house as Lucas was lost for words.
Why are they here? Is his relationship with her that important to them? Or did she tell them he confessed he stared at Audrey but saw her surprised as well?
" You're officially welcome to the Hamilton family," said Miss Hamilton kissing her cheek. They all went forward to kiss her then led her inside to change.
" You made her your official woman wow," said Nate impressed.
