Audrey informed her friends about Vanessa. They were thrilled to hear it therefore required for her presence. She was about to talk to her when Lucas stopped her.

" Come with me," he said coldly dragging her to his room. She didn't protest knowing he was angry. He's always angry she sneered.

They arrived and he bolts the door loudly sending shivers down her spine all her confidence was gone now.

" What's the meaning of this? He asked coldly showing her a newspaper headline

Her eyes widened seeing the event that occurred in the hotel in the newspaper. Her supervisor will be there soon she concluded staring at it rather than at an angry Lucas.

" It's a headline about my place of work what else? She refuted

" And you didn't tell me about it?

" The police took care of it besides I wasn't the victim" she lied. She was glad her picture wasn't in it.

" And the shooter died? Why do I feel you're lying to me, Audrey. You were involved maybe you were the one they were after " he analyzed

" Nope. I'm okay and safe. The client is still in the hospital. " She said confidently. She had to be convincing unless he won't let her go to work anymore.

" I don't believe you one bit. " He stated as she blinked in frustration

" Now tell me what happened or I'll have it investigated" he warned

She giggled at his words. He won't find anything she was certain of it. She snaked her hands on his chest caressing it. Giving him a light kiss

" I swear I'm telling the truth" she trailed off unbuttoning his shirt. Then kissed his jaw lingering there.

" Audrey, why can't you open up to me. I want to protect you. I won't likely know how to if you don't tell me what's happening with you" he said softly falling prey to her

" I'm fine. I don't need protection. You're okay by me" she said coquettishly nibbling on his lower lips on tiptoe

" You're aware we have a party to attend right? And it's within seconds" he reminded with his hands on her ass

" The party yes I remember. I hate those slow dances. Can't you go alone? She whined fiddling with his unbuttoned shirt

" Should I go with Jenny? He asked raising a brow

" Of course not. I'd go anywhere with you my love. " She pouts kissing him while she pushed him to the bed hovering over him

" Let's make a deal," he said flipping her while raining kisses on her neck

" What's that? She Asked stroking his hair

" If I find out you lied to me which I know you do every time I try to be caring I'm going to lock you up for a year," he said raising her top while suckling her boobs.

Audrey was dumbfounded. Is he that good with investigations? It made her wonder how much he knew about her and he showed up the day she was shot. Did he find something too? Better still did Victor speak to him? It's possible with the way he keeps telling her to take him for a ride as protection.

" I ....." She bit her lips as a whimper left her mouth

" Cat got your tongue? ? He grinned. She was indeed lying. It did involve her.

" No. You did" she whispered as he raised his head kissing her using his tongue.

" You're not as strong as you think Audrey" he teases between her lips while running his hands on her body then a knock came at the door.

" Sir Lucas, I can't find Miss Audrey anywhere. It's time for the party. She needs to wax her skin and other stuff" she lamented making Audrey frown. Damn what's with Prudence and her dressing. Does she enjoy waiting on her? Waxing? She waxed already.

Lucas stared at her contemplating face beneath him and smiled.

" Go, Prudence. She's.." he was cut short by Audrey who rolled over dropped her top and stood up.

" Don't you dare say that? Just tell her to check granny's room" she whispered

" But I'm not done with you. " He said pushing her to the bed as Prudence knocked again

" Alright. I have heard you. I'll call her. Go and prepare for it" he stated resuming his romance.

" Don't get me wet if you won't satisfy me" she murmured spreading her legs for him

" There won't be enough time for that anyway but we can enjoy the sprawl of the moment" he teased settling between her legs

" Okay," she said kissing him madly which he reciprocated.

She returned to her room and Prudence was waiting for her already. She stared at her smudged lips and clothes shaking her head.

" Prudence, hi. "

" You were with Sir Lucas all this while and made me worried" she retorted

" No no. I was in the gym" she said tiredly

" his expensive cologne is all over you. I'm sure you enjoyed yourself cos there's pain after that. " She grimaced throwing her a bathrobe

" It's not what I think right? She asked hoping she isn't going to wax her entire body. Prudence grinned wickedly. She was going to punish her for making her make a fool of herself.

" Wait. I didn't enjoy myself enough. Perhaps I should go back to Luke. I'm sure he isn't aware " she said about to leave but Prudence quickly shut the door.

They waxed her body and made her hair. Pedicure and manicure too. She became a doll. She looked at her skin in the mirror and smiled. Wow, it was much better than what she normally does. Lucas is going to go crazy seeing her.

Bobby initially asked Vanessa out. She was shy to comply.

" I don't know this place and I don't want to embarrass you"

" I don't mind. Vanessa aren't you tired of staying indoors? He asked

" If you put it that way. I don't have evening dress"

" That's not a problem. I bought one for you" he said offering her a gift bag.

" I'll tell Prudence to dress you up. I'll pick you up later. I'm sure Audrey won't mind. " He says waiting for her to refute

" She's very nice. I like her" she lied cos Audrey told her to keep her past a secret.

" Then I'll check on you later" he smirked leaving.

Genevieve was the one driving Lucas to the party cos Bobby was taking Vanessa too. He was a VIP too.

Audrey emerged from the house in a gold sequin long dress. Lucas gaped at her she was stunned too by his appearance. He wore a handmade dark yellow tuxedo. With his hair slightly curled and ruffed

She entered the car and sat beside him. She knew he was gawking. Genevieve looked at them and drove off.

Lucas couldn't keep his eyes off her. So he sat closer to her staring at her plump lips.

" What? She asked shyly noticing his hot gaze

" Beautiful Audrey. " He said kissing her making Genevieve uncomfortable as she affected making them stop

" Watch it, Gen," he said caressing her thighs

' Like we're not alone' she winced resting on his chest

" It's your fault for being so beautiful today besides Genevieve doesn't mind this thing. " He started dropping the shaft cover resuming their kiss. Audrey stopped herself from moaning as Lucas couldn't keep his hands off her till they got to their destination.

Genevieve wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead watching him make out with her in her presence perhaps he regarded her as a man. She arrived but bend down to stop herself from crying.

" Genevieve are you okay? Asked Lucas noticing her stop as he was raining kisses on Audrey's clavicle

" Yes Sir" she answered wiping her tears.

" We're here. " She said standing up to open the door for him. She saw him still kissing and cupping her breast while Audrey's hands were in his chest running her hands on him erotically with her on his lap.

" Oh-oh," said Audrey embarrassed getting off his lap slowly. She knew she didn't moan out loud for her to hear. It's Lucas's fault she caught them making out. It's a good thing Prudence used a permanent makeover for her. She alighted before Lucas who straightened her dress and hair while she wiped his lips.

" You're so cute" he commented kissing her lightly giving her his hands to hold.

" Gen, come along. You're a prestigious daughter as well. You're not a chauffeur" he said as she smiled following him. She didn't miss the way he held her waist.

Thinking about it. Audrey is sexy. She's worth all the fuss. She concluded not a tomboy like her. She's his perfect match.

They entered the hall as reporters started taking photos of them. He didn't refute but held her closer whispering to her.

" You're officially my woman. Be ready " he stated pecking her

" I ...." She stuttered

" You don't want to be photographed? Why? He whispered irritably

" Nothing. Fine but I don't want to be on papers or TV" she requested as he nodded in agreement

" As long as I've made my claim. I'm glad everyone knows you're mine now" he smirked as he proceeds to the main hall greeting everyone. All eyes were on her as the sequin dress showed her perfect figure. He put his hand on her ass as if covering it. The gentlemen laughed at his reaction.

He can't hide his beautiful girlfriend. A beautiful flower can't be hidden.

They were done exchanging pleasantries ladies came forward to make friends with her as Lucas was at the main table with his fellow businessmen.

Although Audrey was a sophisticated person she felt out of place and dodged out of the gathering. She was at another side of the hall when she heard a familiar voice. She hid to peek and saw Adrian Emerson entering the hall with Jenny who was in all her glory smiling like she was a queen.
