Bobby wanted to drop Vanessa in her home and return with Lucas but was told she had no home. He decided to take her along.

They arrived and Bobby had her admitted to a hospital then went home to Lucas who was surprised Audrey wasn't at home. He panicked thinking she traveled out as she threatened.

"Lucas, you're back how was your trip? Asked granny hugging him

" Not fine. I couldn't find her but I'll someday. Where's Audrey grams?

" She went to work yesterday and I haven't seen her. She's probably busy. " She assured him.

He was about to call her when she entered looking haggard and unkempt. One look and he could tell she has been smoking and drinking recently.

" Like you're back," she said giving him a warm hug holding him tightly

" I miss you" she sniffles as he pats her back

" What happened Audrey? Why are you like this? Asked granny concerned about her

" I missed Luke and I couldn't take it anymore so I smoked and slept off" she narrated but he didn't believe her. He knew her as a good liar.

" I'm here now. Let's get you dressed. We have a party to attend" he said tiredly holding her waist.

" Go ahead and attend to your woman," said granny as bobby followed her inside. She knew he had something to say.

" What is it, bobby?

" Granny, I want a favor" he stated as she beckoned him to continue

" There's this girl that I met. She's an orphan. I don't want her to stay alone because of her health. Can she stay here under your wings? He pleaded

" Of course Bobb, Your family is my family. She's welcome to stay. I promise Lucas won't know about it. " She said. Bobby gave her a hug and Left smiling. Granny smiled it seems Lucas's attitude didn't affect him. She thought he infected him with his notion of women.

" Care to tell me what happened? Asked Lucas harshly

" About what? She asked helping him with his clothes.

" Your mood," he said with a raised brow

" Oh. I missed you that's all and yesterday was my parent's death anniversary" she announced as he gazed at her to see past her lies.

" Was your trip successful? Did you catch your target? Is she in jail already? She asked massaging his tensed shoulders though he said nothing

" You're very strong Luke. It's like a rock" she teased as he sits down. She sat in his lap with her legs between.

" You smoked too Audrey" he accused as she disengages from him

" I think I'll come back after I have brushed my teeth thoroughly" she suggested.

' do you miss them that much?

" More than anything. Growing up without them was hell. I wouldn't have turned out this way if they were alive" she lamented sitting on his lap again fiddling with his collar

" You turned out pretty well if you ask me. Intelligent, beautiful, violent, and courageous" he commented as she smiled at his description of her

" That's more like you. " He said standing up with her. He dropped her on the desk staring at her.

" You won't leave me alone like them, right? She asked unbuttoning his sleeves

" Not now Audrey. Not ever" he said grazing his nose with hers

" You'll stay alive till I get old right? She asked affectionately

" Don't be silly Audrey, death can't be predicted but I will try okay? He promised to peck her. She removed his shirt and unbuckled his trousers

" Fine. I'll be in my room if you need me" she stated stepping down from the desk

" Audrey, I won't hurt you like that. I promise" he said hugging her

" I won't hurt you either Luke. You're the love of my life even if you find someone else. My heart is yours. " She started leaving.

Lucas stared at her exiting back and sighed. Viola was his major problem. If he could find Viola then he can fully be with Audrey.

The next day Prudence came to Audrey to test her evening gown.

" Miss, Sir Lucas sent me here for this' she said dropping a box

" I've work to do and I'm running late. It can wait' she said in frustration. the last thing she wants is a party which she doesn't belong to.

" I guess I'll tell Sir Lucas that. " She trailed off. Audrey grumbled and tried the purple bandage dress which showed her curves perfectly. She doubts if Lucas picked the dress.

" You look good in anything' she commented as she rolled her eyes waiting for her to take it off.

" Is that all? She asked irritably

" No. There's another dress" she said bringing a gold sequin dress that hugged her body too.

' I prefer this" she said twirling

" Let's try the last one," she said giving her a strapless coral dress.

"Bye," she said after taking the dress off.

It was two days to the party when Bobby brought Vanessa to the house. She was still weak but improved. Prudence had to take care of her ignoring other chores per granny's order.

Audrey was thirsty at night that she went down to the kitchen to get a bottle of water but saw someone there gulping down a glass of juice right in the middle of the night.

She turned the lights on and was shocked on seeing Vanessa standing in front of her though she didn't recognize her at the moment. She ran to her out of ecstasy. She hugged her delightfully

" I'm so happy to see you," said Audrey as Vanessa was in oblivion

" Don't you remember me? Audrey Zachary the disobedient girl" she introduced herself as Vanessa hugged her tighter

" You're still alive? Viola said she killed you guys already. Where are the best girls? She asked in excitement

" They're fine.." she said hugging her again

" What happened? How did you escape? Did she treat you? She asked suddenly thinking viola must have found them

" No. A man raided the brothel and freed us. I think he's after Viola Audrey " she said still hugging her

" Viola is on the run? How ironic. So we're free? She's not after us anymore? This calls for a celebration" she said excitedly

" You've grown to be the beautiful woman that I portray you to be. I can't wait to meet the girls" said Vanessa checking her out

" I never got to thank you for what you did eight years ago. Thank you, Vanessa. I'm so glad you're alive" said Audrey pecking her

" We both know you made that possible without I'd still be fighting Lola over some horny bastards" she joked as they laughed

Audrey led her to the center table to catch up with her. They had a lot of things to talk about and she wanted to know why she's there.

" You mean bobby saved you?

" Is that his name? He's a very kind person" she said shyly

" Yeah. Don't tell me you like him"

" Well, he knows who I am. It depends on him Audrey" she muttered

" Look at you. You haven't aged a bit. You'll be surprised Lola is still a diet freak while Ava is still slaying. They look younger everyday unlike me" she joked as they laughed out loud

" When will I meet them?

" When you've recovered. I'll prepare something to boost it then " she said holding her hands.

They chatted till dawn that Audrey had to sleep on the couch with her. Luckily bobby climbed down before Lucas and took Vanessa to her bedroom wondering why they slept on the same couch holding each other.

Lucas climbed down and saw her sleeping uncomfortably on the couch. her sleeping possible amused him as she curled up.

" You have a different sleeping altitude, Audrey. " He said tapping her an inch close to her. She woke up frightened and fell from the couch to top it all he gave way for her to fall properly chuckling.

" Have you been told it's not nice to watch people sleep? It's rude" she accused rubbing her aching body

" They don't teach that in the military. Why are you here?

" I came for a glass of water and slept off. " She lied looking around. Bobb was staring at her. She's a great liar he concluded.

" Go inside and sleep. Remember we have a party to attend " he said standing up

" No morning kiss? I was expecting it for the inconveniences" she whined as he halts.

" You haven't brushed. So no" he said leaving her in embarrassment

" Fine. You started it" she blurted out but he kept on walking.

" Damn you, Lucas. " She cursed silently standing up to get dressed for work as well.
