It's been days since Audrey's attack. She decided to tell her friends about it thinking it's Viola. If she could find her then she'll find them too.
She went to their house while Victor trailed her.
" Girls, we have a problem" she announced piquing their interest
" What's wrong? Asked Ava worriedly sitting close to her
" I've been attacked recently. its been going on for weeks now. I was told it's a drug lord" she narrated making them terrified
" It's Viola. She's found us. We've to move. I'll get our private jet ready" announced Lola who wasn't ready to go through hell again
" I don't think so, Lola. This person knows my house. Something tells me that he wants me dead. He sent two boys to kill me than a gang of shooting men after me. Viola doesn't attack randomly' she suggested as Ava listened in deep thought.
" Who could it be?. Audrey, you have to resign. Let's relocate. We've been living in this place for a long time now."
" I want you girls to watch out for yourselves. I ain't moving. I think that's what they want. The hotel is safe for me" she said standing up
" Fine. Were you hurt? How did you escape? " Asked an intrigued Lola checking for wounds
" No. I escaped all thanks to the police. I've to go. "
" You look pale Audrey. Is everything okay? Asked Ava curiously
" I'm fine. It's Lucas. He's giving me a tough time" she lied knowing they like to gossip
" Did he ask you out? Lola said anxiously
" No. He's a jerk. I'm needed for a trip soon. I guess I'll have to be away for some days" she announced opening the door
" Your Mr. Right is on the way. You'll see" smirked
" I pray I'm still breathing then. "' she said then left.
She was feeling dizzy. She hasn't dressed her wound for days. She knew one or two ideas about dressing. So she purchased some medical instruments and medicine hoping to get it done.
Victor found no clue. He knows she's hiding something but he couldn't guess what it was. He saw her crossing the road absentmindedly. A car kept honking at her but her mind seems to be occupied.
Genevieve was escorting Lucas from a summit when she encountered a pedestrian who couldn't get out of her way. Lucas was operating his PC when Gen asked for his permission to run her over. He raised his head and saw Audrey walking hopelessly.
" Drive. Don't hurt anyone" he ordered staring at her.
Genevieve didn't know it was Audrey as she was far from them a little. The pedestrian sign came up as Audrey walked slowly to cross. She bent down in the middle of the road crying. She felt lost and helpless.
Victor alighted to comfort her. He wanted to reassure her that he will protect her. He took a step forward and saw Lucas trailing towards her. He wanted to know what their connection was. So decided to watch.
Lucas reached her and called her name.
" Audrey, do you want to die? You're in the middle of the road." He scolded
She looked up realizing he was right. She ran into his arms. Lucas was surprised. Didn't she say otherwise before? He let her cry on his shoulder before walking her out of there.
Meanwhile, there was a camera roll taking pictures of them.
" How did you find me? She Asked feeling dizzy
" Find you? " He scoffed. She lost balance and was about to fall. He quickly caught her carrying her to his car.
" Shouldn't we take her to the hospital? Asked Genevieve
" Drive home. I'll call the doctor right away.
Genevieve obeyed him and drove to his house while Lucas called for the doctor to wait for him at home. Audrey was lying beside him. He rested her head in his lap caressing her hair while looking at her sleeping eyes.
Victor was happy. She's safer with Lucas. He sighed and drove off.
For the first time in years, Genevieve saw the affectionate side of him. She was envious of her. She didn't have to work for it like herself.
They arrived home and the guards offered to carry her but he refused to carry her himself in bridal style. He wanted to know why she was a target.
The household was petrified to see him holding a woman even his grandma peeked at him wiping her eyes thoroughly. The females only attended to his grandma. His grandma called for his parents immediately. This calls for celebration she announced.
