She received a call from Ava and Lola. She conferenced the call.

" Hi. I got your the mail" she was ready to be scolded by them

" Audrey, how did you hook up with him? He seemed enthusiastic about it. Has he asked you out? Asked Ava

" Tell us how it happened," said Lola

" Well, I was his plus one and he didn't want to dance with a certain girl. She was so annoying. I guess she stepped on my toes there when she said he was faking it. I took it as a challenge and kissed him. That's all nothing to it" she lamented

" Oh. Are you that attracted to him? What happened to them he's a jerk? Asked Lola

" No. I'm not. Everyone was calling him a woman killer. I wanted to help. " She said regretfully

" What happened? Asked Ava

" Nothing. How is business? Have you found Ian's substitute?

" We're on it. Aren't you got recommendations? Asked Lola

" No. You'll find one okay?

" Yeah. I almost forgot. You have to convince him to take it down. Viola might see it. " Said, Lola

" Of course I'll do that" she wasn't sure

" Convince him, Audrey. We've come this far, away from Viola, and please make sure he agrees to it. " Said Lola in persuasion

She knew they were disappointed in her. Speaking with Lucas won't be easy now. They don't know what's happening to her. She waited patiently for him to retire to his suite and knocked.

" Who is it? He asked coldly

" It's Audrey" she hummed

" What's the matter? He asked tiredly

" It's urgent Mr. Luke. Please can I come in?.

" Come in then" she entered and searched for him cos he wasn't in the bedroom or study

" I'll be right there. " He said coming out of the bathroom with a towel. Audrey looked away.

" I'll come back later. I didn't know you were in the bathroom" she felt guilty

" We both know you're not innocent. Nothing you haven't seen before. I'm listening" he said nonchalantly drying himself

Audrey swallowed the lump in her throat, staring at his half-covered body and wet hair. God, he's handsome.

" Cat got your tongue? He snapped entering the fitting room while she sighed

" I received a mail from my friends earlier. It's a photo of us kissing at the party " she stated as the room became silent

" I don't know if it's good for your reputation but it's not good for me as a hotel manager and the hotel. " She stated

" I think that's not the only reason. But not to worry I'll wipe it off" he assured her

" I swear it is. Thanks anyway" she stated wondering what has gotten into him.

" May I have the photo? He requested stepping out of the dressing room with casual wear: a sleek T-shirt and a trouser

" Here," she handed it to him grazing his hands. she flinched and stepped back

" Not bad. I'll keep this. You may leave" she stared at him for a while and turned to leave

" Audrey? What happened? Why are you running away from your house? Why are you in a cast? Is someone after you? " He asked probably with concern but she saw it as sarcasm

" I can handle my affairs. I'm here for a reason and before you jump to a conclusion it's not because of you" she replied scornfully

" Whatever. Get out of my sight" he snapped

" Yes Sir" she exclaimed then left.

Lucas looked at the photo and sneered. Everything worsened with that kiss.
