Tribal Lord: SSS Ranked Taming Primitive Beauties and The Beasts! Chapter 44

A slash grazed Trojan’s wrist, forcing his punch off course. Another cut opened along his forearm. Then his shoulder, his side.

Blood sprayed repeatedly as Varsha advanced step by step, his blade weaving through Trojan’s barrage of punches.

Trojan roared in frustration and pain. He tried to force his way through by swinging harder and faster, pouring more mana into his fists.

Boom! Boom!

Yet the more he attacked, the more openings he revealed. Naturally, the moment he saw a huge opening, Varsha’s sword flashed.

Slash!

A deep cut opened across Trojan’s chest.

Slash!

Another line of blood traced across his ribs, and Trojan staggered as his barrage finally broke apart.

Trojan clenched his teeth, his body trembling as he forced himself upright. He raised his fists one last time, using the remaining of his strength.

"Again!" he roared.

Varsha’s eyes softened slightly, and she stepped forward. In a single motion, his sword swept upward in a terrifying arc.

Slash!

The blade stopped an inch away from Trojan’s neck.

The wind from the slash alone cut a thin line of blood across Trojan’s throat.

The meadow went completely silent.

Varsha slowly withdrew his sword and returned it to his sheath.

"I lose..." Trojan said hoarsely, his knees finally giving out as he dropped to one knee.

...

At the same time inside the dungeon, Ash was chilling with the others as they were talking casually about a lot of things.

He raised an eyebrow when he received the request to talk from Harold, thinking that it was time to move to the next plan.

Since it’s been a while since the last time they were attacked by the Lizardmen, Ash assumed that this dungeon was a normal 5th-rank dungeon, as there were probably not many 5th Rank Lizardmen in this dungeon.

Because if this was a strong 5th Rank Dungeon, he would’ve probably welcomed another few 5th Rank Lizardmen as there should’ve been at least a few dozen 5th Rank Monsters inside a normal 5th Rank Dungeon.

Besides, he thought that since the system gave him the mission, it should’ve been something within his capabilities.

That was precisely why he decided to stop running and just wait to test his theory. Naturally, this wasn’t a 100% thing, as he needed to check further first just to make sure before deciding to clear the dungeon.

After informing Harold about his next plan, he asked Old Ni. "Old Ni, how many 5th Ranks do you think they have?"

Old Ni thought for a few seconds and answered with a bitter smile. "I’m not sure, but I think it’s probably less than 10."

"I thought so as well." He chuckled and got up, dusting off dirt from his butt. "Let’s welcome the others."

When he saw the confusion on the trio’s expressions, he chuckled lightly. "There will be some people who will join us in a bit."

He ordered Harold to gather the people that he mentioned to enter the dungeon, as he knew that it would be impossible for just the four of them to clear the dungeon unless he could upgrade one of them to 6th Rank.

The red gate was something that you could still go inside the dungeon, but once you’re inside, you couldn’t get out unless the dungeon break happened.

Therefore, he had been trying his best to stall for time by going as far away as possible from the east since he needed to gather more points and prepare some things, for example, like gathering a few selected people to go inside the dungeon, as he wanted to clear the dungeon instead of completing his mission by surviving in the dungeon.

"How many of them, and who are they?"Uncle Zan asked.

Ash waved his hand with a smile. "You’ll know it sooner or later."

Subsequently, Ash and the others headed toward the previous location since they would be spawned there when they entered the dungeon.

Outside the dungeon, eleven people were looking at the massive red gate that emitted a dangerous aura, which made them shudder, except for one person.

A moment later, Harold broke the silence. "I’ve received the word from the Tribe Lord. He will arrive at your location in a few minutes."

"So you guys can go inside first." Harold waved his hand dismissively and smiled. "I wish you all the best."

"What are you afraid of?" Lothar snorted and looked at the others in disdain.

The others just rolled their eyes, as they couldn’t be bothered with him.

"I’ll go first since I’m the strongest, and given there might be strong monsters nearby." Lothar said with a smug face and entered the gate first.

The others also started to enter one by one, and the moment they entered the dungeon and vanished from Harold’s sight, he sighed. ’I still have a shit ton to do, yet they will follow the tribe lord right away and possibly leave the dungeon as 5th Ranks.’

Just as he took a few steps away from the dungeon, he suddenly shivered uncontrollably when he heard Ash’s voice. "When this shit is over, I’ll upgrade your rank to the 5th rank."

Harold suddenly kneeled on his knees and asked for forgiveness in his heart, thinking that Ash must have heard his whining.

At the same time inside the dungeon, Ash thought to himself. ’I almost forgot to tell him that I’d reward him since he had worked the most with subjugating other tribes.’

"They have entered the dungeon, let’s speed up our pace." Ash said.

A while later, Old Ni’s eyes lit up as he asked. "One of them has reached 5th Rank?"

Ash nodded in response. "Yup."

"Oh?" Old Ni showed a curious expression.

At the same time, Lothar and the others were just looking at the greenery in their surroundings as they were told to stay there unless there was an unexpected situation.

Lothar suddenly tilted his head and knitted his eyebrows for a moment.

"What’s wrong?" Garnak noticed and asked.

Lothar chuckled lightly. "They are here."

A minute later, Ash’s group finally arrived, and the moment Old Ni looked at an old man among the ten people, he sneered. "What are you doing here with your puny strength?"

Varsha, who was the previous Korag Tribe’s War Chief, immediately frowned when he looked at Old Ni, as he thought that he would probably be at least as strong as Old Ni, if not stronger, since he had become Peak 4th Rank.

He was surprised that Old Ni had become 5th Rank, but it actually made sense given their current circumstances and his position at the Ragh’Tal Tribe.

"Old man, say that again once we’re at the same rank, and I’ll let you have the taste of my sword like the old times." Varsha spat to the side.

While the old men were bickering like usual, Ash looked at the huge middle-aged man in his mid-50s with a big claw scar across his chest.

’Not bad.’ He thought to himself, looking at Garnak’s figure and information.

Even though Garnak was someone who had his stats multiplied by 5 times when he was upgraded to 4th Rank, he could stand on equal footing with Lothar, whose stats were multiplied by 6 times.

The reason for that was because he possessed the Earthbound Titan Physique, where even when he didn’t activate it, his stats were boosted by 20%.

He was actually curious as to who would win if Old Ni and Garnak were to be on the same rank and fought seriously.

However, after giving it a small thought, Garnak would probably win if they were to fight fair and square without using any healing or mana potions.

"What are you thinking about?" Uncle Zan tapped his shoulder.

Ash’s eyes lit up in surprise, then he smiled as he replied. "I’m just a little bit surprised at how strong one of our new family members is."

Old Ni immediately shifted his attention to Garnak when he heard Ash’s words, squinting his eyes as he tried to see through him but to no avail.

"What’s so special about him?" He asked curiously, setting aside his bickering with Varsha.

"You’ll see later." Ash responded with a faint smile.

Garnak, on the other hand, could see that Ash was probably the Tribe Lord they had been talking about this whole time, but he was still a little bit confused by the fact that Ash was still at the 3rd Rank.

"Welcome to our family, Garnak." Ash chuckled.

However, before Garnak could even respond, Ash continued with a hearty laugh. "Prepare yourself, this is my gift to welcome you into our family."

After he said that, Ash instantly ordered the system. "Upgrade his rank to 5th Rank!"

[Ding! 25,000 Tribal Points have been successfully deducted.]

[Ding! Congratulations to the host! Garnak has successfully broken through to the 5th Rank Warrior.]

Just as Garnak was confused with Ash’s words when he said to prepare himself, he suddenly felt an enormous amount of energy flood into his body.
