Trash of a Wealthy Family: My Gacha System Guarantees S-Rank Rewards Chapter 47

"Well, it’s weird and a bit concerning. First, the news about the dead lowest member from Astryx Bank. He apparently got caught by the bank doing something shady, so the central branch dispatched the Collectors for him."

"This is where it gets weird; there are no trails or even a hint of news related to Accord in the bank. However, according to the boss, he still activated the seal placed on him." The cautious one spoke in a serious tone.

A hint of interest appeared in the eyes of the second one. "So you think he tried to sell off the Accord to get himself out and got killed because of the seal."

"But that would be stupid; he knows we could get him anytime. What is your conclusion?" He responded with a hint of surprise.

"I also somewhat think that he tried to sell us off, but again, as you said, it would be stupid. That’s why I said it’s weird," the first one stated in agreement.

"Now for the second one, that’s where it’s a bit concerning. Here, 5 members disappeared, including a Saint-Rank Riftmaker."

"He was supposed to oversee the situation near Arclights and report anything suspicious or threatening to Accord," he continued.

"Now for the concerning part, we could at least get hold of the corpse of the member in Cian City. But here there is no evidence of them; even their dead bodies aren’t turning up." He added.

"Do you think someone targeted them because they belonged to Accord?" the second one asked.

"That’s the thing, we don’t know anything. The last piece of information I could get about them is that they were heading to the dungeon. But somehow, they disappeared into thin air on this path," the first one answered.

"But we know that at least the Riftmaker is dead due to the seal; there is no information about the rest of them and are presumed dead."

"That’s why I called you here to help me in searching this area to see if we can find a clue as to where they disappeared," he added.

"Hmm... I will help you because this news is not boring," the second one said.

After exchanging information, they spent the next two hours searching the normal path or any possible route the group could have taken. However, the result was not satisfactory, and their hands were still empty.

The two stood on the ground, tired and sweating, not from work but from mental exhaustion from trying to find something that had been erased from existence.

All they found was some specks of blood, which was of no use because they were days old and a very minute amount.

"Now, what am I going to answer to Boss? That’s we couldn’t even find a single hair of them, goddammit," the first one spoke as he punched a tree into splinters.

"Calm down, what can we do if there is literally nothing?" the second one tried to relax.

"You are relaxed because you don’t have to report to the boss," the first one shot back.

"Hey, what if both of these are connected?" the second one suddenly presented his theory.

"You are starting with your conspiracy theories again. If someone had the ability to make even a Saint rank disappear, then why would they or he or she leave the bank manager behind?" The first one questioned.

"To confuse us," the second one answered immediately.

"Why? We would still go behind the one responsible for this ’disappearance.’ So how does this confusion work in their favor?" The first one asked further, trying to discard this theory.

"What if the bank manager could provide us with details about the one behind the disappearance? So they tried to remove him indirectly so they won’t be related?" the second argued.

"Next, you will say that because we are near Arclight Clan, an Arclight is responsible for this? Let’s not go down the rabbit hole of your conspiracy." The first one responded.

"No, they could be someone from the capital too, we never know," the second one said almost innocently.

"Whatever, I don’t want to leave my life in the hands of your speculation," the first one stated, discouraging further conversation on the topic.

"Well, I think my theory is nice and has potential to reach the truth," the second one said, still adamant.

"Your theory has the potential of making a fantasy story, not solving our real problem. Let’s head back to report this, then I have to go back to Kronesthion," the first one diverted the topic.

"Tsk...you never listen, let’s go. How are the preparations in the demon continent by the way?" the second one asked.

"Preparations are almost complete; rulers of the demon continent will get a nice surprise after the tournament... haha," the first one laughed and relaxed for the first time.

As they talked further, they flew towards their future destination, not knowing they stood exactly where Aiden had beheaded the Accord members.

[Aiden’s POV]

KNOCK! KNOCK!

The consecutive knocks on my door woke me up. "Coming," I responded.

After freshening up, I walked out of my room and toward the mess hall. As I reached there, everyone was present, even Seraphine.

Felicia was the first one to speak. "Hello, nice mister, would you like to eat breakfast with Felicia?" she spoke cheerfully.

"Absolutely, I would love to," I responded back as she sat on my shoulder.

"Good morning, Master Aiden," Seraphine spoke second.

"Good morning, are you feeling better?" I replied.

After exchanging greetings with Britany and others, I told them about the Primeval Dominion and my idea of them staying there.

Nobody had complaints; Britany even seemed happy when I told her about the Plains of Endless Horizon.

However, Seraphine spoke up, "Pardon my words, Master, but who is going to go with you if we are all going in that Dominion?" She asked.

"Felicia could go with nice mister," Felicia interjected with a beaming smile.

"No, you have to go with Big Sis here. You will find a very beautiful environment, and nobody there would bother you." I immediately discouraged the idea.

"Hmm...if Big Sis is with me there, then it would be okay," she spoke after a thought.

"I know, Master, I am not in a position to protect you. But you could summon someone like that creature again. I would feel much more relaxed knowing someone is out there with you," Seraphine still insisted.

"Thane will be with me in his non-combat form," I said, looking at Thane.

He had a smug smile on his face, if that was even possible on his skeletal face. Like he was waiting for me to reveal that so he could gloat about it, just when I thought he was uncharacteristically staying quiet.

"And don’t worry, once I enter the city. I will summon someone, and also I have ranked up, so I am sure I could take one more punch from Saint-Rank," I added, half-jokingly.

That didn’t help the cause, but she had to agree to it nonetheless after another argument. Next, I opened the portal to the Dominion, letting them enter.

"Please take care of yourself, Master," Seraphine spoke as she was about to enter.

"I will, and don’t beat yourself up about this. You are and always will be my battle maid. So just rest and heal up quickly," I reassured her. She left with a smile on her face.

Thane transformed into the cloak and rested himself on my shoulder. A.B. came soon to inform about reaching the port.

Tidebreaker stood some distance away; I used a tender boat to disembark from it and stored Tidebreaker in inventory again. According to A.B., it would not affect him, so I didn’t think much.

As the boat sails slowly toward the port. I was slightly excited about stepping on a new continent. All my information is from books and gossip, but I have never been to another continent.

Soon, the port came into view; many big and small ships were anchored there. However, just as my boat was about to touch the shore, a loud voice interrupted my thought process.

"Hold up and state your identity..."
