Chapter 36: Chapter 36

"I've been looking for information about the auction night at Abraham High School. This charity event is held every year. Luckily again, outsiders can enter there as guests."

"So?" Jonea needed help understanding.

Now they are both in Marlyn's rented house. Marlyn completely removed the tacky makeup from Jonea's face and replaced it with a new, more natural, humane makeup.

"Stay cool. I will attend the auction tonight and impersonate one of the invited guests. I will be there to always help and watch over you. If the time comes, I'm ready to take you away."

"But, Marlyn… what if Elmar and Aland see me?"

"I've been thinking about that too. Leave it all to me. Your job is only to come to the auction and make Edison's goods sell at the highest price. After that, you must quickly leave there without leaving a trace. You understand?"

Jonea nodded. She took several deep breaths and exhaled to get rid of the nervousness. Jonea didn't even dare to look at her face in the mirror. She was pretty traumatized by the last makeup given by the salon workers. Jonea looks like a birthday clown.

"Now, wear this dress."

"But, this is yours. You bought these and got these ready for our prom in a few months. No, Marilyn! I can't wear it."

"No, Jonea. God knows I bought this dress, not for me. I'm too obsessive, and this isn't right for me. It looks like this dress was made for you now. Put it on."

Jonea wanted to cry. Her eyes started to get teary. She was scared, panicked, and also confused.

"Stop it, Jonea! This is not at all like you. Where was the tough warrior ready to face any danger in front of him? Even willing to give his life for the people he loves? Don't cry, or you will ruin my beautiful makeup."

"I don't want to risk Miller's future. If my identity is exposed, Miller will be expelled and lose his scholarship. I don't want that to happen."

"Calm down, Jonea. I haven't told you, have I? I have one final piece of news that will make you laugh satisfactorily."

"What's that?"

"Before coming to pick you up at the salon, I already researched the auction at Abraham High School. And you know what Edison is offering for auction tonight instead of the tea set you destroyed?"

Jonea shook her head. "What is that thing?"

Marlyn took out a cell phone. She showed Abraham High School's website and brought it to Jonea's face.

The girl stared and opened her mouth wide.

In the particular club room, the students panicked. Edison was seen sitting in the middle, playing with a glass filled with lemon tea in his hand.

"What do you say? Did I hear right?" Edison's face darkened with anger.

"Miller… he's gone, Boss!"

"W-we've looked everywhere but can't find him."

"Then, you guys went home empty-handed?" Edison slammed the glass against the wall until it shattered into pieces. "Don't you have brains? If the dog runs away, you guys must find a bigger wolf to get it!"

Edison almost hit one of the students who brought Miller into the salon. But he failed to do so. Edison glanced at a chest that had just been brought there. Inside the wooden crate was an item that would be auctioned tonight.

"I don't want to lose to the club managed by Hunter and Aland. I don't need to worry about Elmar. Because he doesn't belong to any club. Elmar is too busy with his activities outside of school. Instead, he was given the duties and responsibilities of being the head of the dormitory."

"We've asked Biggest to get ready, Boss," said one of the students. "Biggest will still perform tonight according to his duties. We have also sent several students to look for Miller."

Ed looked exasperated and disappointed. "Move this crate to the queuing room. We will get the last turn for the auction stage. Make sure Biggest doesn't run away from his duties either."

Hunter was also busy preparing club members and items that they would auction that night. He kept looking at his cell phone and wondering what surprise Edison would have for him.

"Boss," said one of the students who came to report to Hunter. "We have information that a special club is going through a crisis."

Hunter smiled with satisfaction. "Have you found Aland yet?"

"Like previous years, Aland was not involved in auction activities. He left everything to the club members. Maybe even Aland won't attend the auction."

Hunter is getting satisfied. "I never worried about Aland. He was never interested in social activities. But, secretly, he always donates part of his wealth through a personal assistant for the orphans. So, my only rival now is Ed? He even had a crisis. It won't be difficult."

Jonea had quietly returned to school. She and Marlyn hid in the art club room, which was empty and dark that night. Jonea dared not to turn on the light in the art club room.

"Do you know where Edison keeps the things he's going to auction?" she asked.

"Those things should be collected in the waiting room. I have the last turn."

"That's great," Marlyn said. "You have a chance to stay out of people's eyes. You must hide and wait for your turn to auction that thing."

Jonea nodded. She had studied the scenario given by Marlyn.

"Now, I will go to the hall as a guest and join the others. I will always watch over you from there. Leave Hunter and Aland to me."

Jonea and Merlyn part ways. Jonea rushed to the waiting room, where the auction items would be displayed. The girl was waiting for her turn to appear. She went to the locker room to find Biggest.

She covered her face with her hands, and Jonea slipped between the busy students enjoying the night's festivities. Jonea made it to the student locker room just in time.

The men's locker room is empty. Everyone had already gone to the hall to enjoy the banquet.

Jonea walked down aisle after aisle of lockers, looking for Biggest. She heard the young man's voice half cursing, angry, and wailing alone. With a pounding chest, Jonea dared to approach the big young man.

Super-sized high-heeled shoes are floating. Jonea reflexively dodged to avoid being hit.

"Excuse me!" said Biggest, surprised by Jonea's appearance. The young man was fascinated by Jonea. Biggest was suddenly very polite and gentle in front of Jonea.

The girl felt awkward. She couldn't even believe Biggest, who was so rough and scary, could be that gentle when dealing with a girl.

"You… wearing a dress?"

Biggest recovered from the shock. He immediately crossed his arms to cover his body but couldn't hide anything. He was very embarrassed because he caught a girl wearing a dress, despite her vast body. He looks so weird.

"This… I can explain!" Biggest frantically looking for an excuse. "This... because of that sophomore kid with glasses."

Jonea smiled, seeing Biggest's attitude, which was very different from usual.

"You… who, by the way? I never see you." Biggest is fascinated by Jonea.

Jonea immediately interrupted Biggest's question and held her hand. Jonea looked at the young man earnestly. "Take off your dress!"

"W-what?" Biggest's cheeks flushed red. He was very embarrassed and began to think that no-no. "What would you do?"

"Take off your clothes and leave it to me!"

"W-what?! W-who are you?"
