Chapter 37: Chapter 37
Jonea grew impatient with Biggest's slowness in understanding the situation. The girl squinted and forcefully pushed Biggest's body until it crashed into a row of iron lockers. A thud echoed in the quiet dressing room.
Biggest, who used to look fierce and scary, now seems helpless when dealing with a girl. Jonea had to lift the hem of her dress and push Biggest hard while glaring at the young man.
"Are you stupid? It's me, Miller!"
"W-what?" Most prominent's eyes opened wide. "How can you be Miller?"
"Listen, you just listen to me! Refrain from talking too much. Sorry, because I came late. Okay?"
"Didn't they say you ran away?"
"Do not ask! Shut up and listen to me!"
Suddenly Biggest became a pushover. He still couldn't accept that the beautiful girl in front of him was Miller Fallon–the nerd who always annoyed him.
"I didn't run away. I'm just calming down a bit. Do you know? It's not easy." Jonea looked down to show her dress to Biggest.
Biggest nodded. He agreed with Miller's opinion.
"I know this is very embarrassing. I also know how annoyed and angry you are if told to dress like a girl. I'm also experiencing the same thing right now! But, I already promised to compensate. So, now take off your gown and get out there. Leave the rest to me. You understand?"
It's as if Biggest just got a helper angel that came down from the sky. Very happy and relieved, Biggest kept nodding and freed himself from Miller's grip and the dress that made him nauseous.
Biggest suddenly felt goosebumps as he again saw Miller's utterly different appearance. Miller looks so beautiful in a dress and makeup. He had thought that it wasn't Miller but a real girl.
Biggest kept his mouth shut. He didn't ask, didn't say a word. He had promised to be quiet and obey after changing clothes and throwing away the dress. Biggest quickly left Miller in the locker room.
As soon as he stood outside, Biggest immediately let out the breath he had been holding for a few seconds.
"Crazy! This is crazy! Was it Miller Fallon? He gave me goosebumps. Who exactly is the sophomore student? He is full of mystery."
Jonea panicked when she noticed the clock in the locker room. She didn't have much time left. She spent quite a bit of time going around looking for Biggest.
"Now Biggest's problem is cleared up. I have to go back to the waiting room. There are only two clubs left before it's my turn to appear to auction off items from special clubs."
The distance from the building Jonea was to the party hall was quite far. Jonea couldn't speed up her steps because she was wearing high heels and a dress that was a bit narrower at the feet.
"Ah, right, the shortcut through the east tower. But what if I run into Aland there? Usually, he's always alone in the east tower."
Jonea shook her head.
"I'd better find another shortcut. School forest. Yes! I hope that place is safe. Because everyone is gathered in the hall and partying."
Jonea walked quickly along the path that cut through the small forest at the back of the school. The grove connected the building Jonea was into the hall via the northern way. Meanwhile, the east tower connects the two buildings via the south route.
Jonea was slightly shivering because she was only wearing a sheer dress and was somewhat open at the top. The girl's wig was pulled up into a bun, starting to fall because Jonea was walking too fast. She didn't show the grace of a girl at all.
Jonea had almost reached the end of the path and was only a few meters away from the back of the hall. But, Jonea's footsteps stopped. Near the hall's back door, she saw Elmar standing, flirting with a girl.
"Damn!" grunted Jonea.
When Elmar turned his head at the sound of someone swearing, Jonea quickly hid behind a large tree.
After ensuring no one was watching, Elmar focused on the beautiful girl before him.
"Elmar can't see me. But this is the fastest way to the hall. How about this? Should I go back and take another route? I'm so unlucky tonight."
Jones was out of breath, but she still had to find another, further detour. When Jonea's footsteps were heavy, she accidentally slipped on the slippery road because of the moss. Jonea fell.
A large white wolf suddenly jumped up from the side and supported Jonea's body so she didn't hit the damp forest ground. In the next instant, the great white wolf had already transformed into Aland.
The young man supported Jonea's back with his strong arm. Their eyes met each other. Jonea froze for a moment.
"Marlyn Monroe?" whispered Aland.
He was shocked to meet Marlyn at school. Completely unexpected.
"What are you doing here?"
Jonea quickly straightened up and pushed Aland's arm away. She tried to stand on her two feet. But, because she was nervous, Jonea stepped on the hem of her dress. She staggered back and fell over.
'Shame on you!' Jonea screamed inside her head.
Aland was moving again. A second later, he moved to Jonea's side and supported the girl again.
This time, Aland did not let Jonea go. He even hugged Jonea's waist tighter and tighter.
Jonea's heart was pounding fast. She felt she couldn't stand on her two feet because she was hitting.
"Are you all right, Marilyn?"
'Of course not!' Jonea screamed to herself. 'I feel like dying right now. Why does it have to be Aland?'
"Marlyn?" Aland rebuked.
Jonea woke up from her reverie. "Excuse me! I'm just a little tired from walking in circles. I'm lost." she said like a confused person.
"Lost? You remind me of someone. I feel like I'm repeating the same incident."
"What? Who?" Jonea quickly covered her impudent mouth.
"What are you doing here?" Aland frowned.
Jonea had to think fast. If her answer didn't satisfy Aland, then she wouldn't be able to be free from that young man.
"Auction event!" Jonea said quickly. "I… came because I wanted to surprise Elmar. That is!" Jonea stood up straight and straightened her slightly messy dress.
Aland kept his distance from Jonea and nodded faintly. "Surprise for Elmar?" Aland whispered, repeating Marlyn's words.
Jonea's head was dizzy, and she wanted to escape quickly.
"Forgive me. I have to go." Jonea stepped back and took the opposite direction.
Aland chased the girl and held her exposed arms. "You… took the wrong path. If you go there, you will get lost farther and farther into the forest. The fastest way to the hall is through here."
Jonea shook her head. She didn't want to go that way because Elmar was ahead. If the two of them caught her simultaneously, Jonea would be dead right then and there.
"No! I…." Jonea didn't know what to say. She hoped that someone or a miracle would come to her aid. But that didn't happen.
Aland dragged and forced Jonea to follow him. "Come with me! I'll show you the way to the hall. Elmar must be there. You can't run around like this. This school is… dangerous!"
"No, Aland! Do not go there!"
Jonea refused, but Aland persisted and dragged her through the main road. A few meters later, they stopped again. Aland immediately turned around and blocked Jonea until they almost collided.
"What is it?" she asked.
