Valeria sat outside the interviewing room with some other ladies. Her eyes scanned most of the ladies and the way most of them were dressed wasn't appropriate at all, some of them didn't look like they were dressed up for an interview, they had on very revealing dresses, they were dressed like they came here to seduce the CEO instead of a job.

Her eyes went to her bright yellow sunny gown and blue jacket, with a pair of matching black heels which weren't hers but Shantel's, and she couldn't help but sigh in frustration.

"I just hope they won't say anything about what I'm putting on," she muttered.

The door to the interviewing room opened and two ladies stepped out. One was the lady who had gone in, and the other was the lady who was calling their names when it was their turn.

"Miss Valeria Startam?" The lady called.

"That's me." Valeria said, waving her hands in the air.

The lady smiled.

"You're next, please come in." She said. Valeria nodded.

She took her bag and she went in.

"Have a seat, the CEO will be joining us soon." The lady said.

"Alright, thanks." Valeria said with a smile.

The lady nodded, then she went out.

Valeria checked her wrist watch, and she bit her bottom lip nervously, she couldn't even stop tapping her feet on the floor due to how nervous she was.

"Oh Shantel, I hope you're right about this." She whispered.

Suddenly, a back door in the interviewing room opened, and a man walked in.

Valeria's heart beat increased, and she immediately stood up.

The man finally got to his seat, which was a few meters in front of her, and he stood still.

Their gazes met, and she saw his eyes widen with shock.

She became confused as to why he was so shocked. She looked at him, and she felt a sense of familiarity, but she didn't really recognize the CEO, who was dangerously too handsome.

Noah's heart almost flew out of his chest, he couldn't believe his eyes.

"N n no, this can't be, she can't be the one." He said inwardly as he stared at the lady in front of him.

She looked like Valeria, but an older and more mature version of her.

"Are my eyes playing a trick on me?" He mentally asked.

"Valeria?" He called, and her eyes widened with surprise.

"Valeria, is that you?" He asked, going to stand in front of her.

"W who are you?" Valeria asked, and she mentally face palmed herself.

"Sorry, I mean, do you know me?"

"It really is you." Noah said in disbelief, causing Valeria to frown deeply.

"It's you, I'm sure of it." He said, then he pulled her to himself and hugged her tightly.

"Valeria, it's you, you're the one, it's you." He said, almost in tears.

Valeria froze in his arms, she was so damn confused as to what was going on, but when she finally got back to her senses, she pushed him away.

"What are you doing!!" Valeria half yelled.

Noah signalled for his secretary to come forward and she did.

"The interview is over, I need everyone to vacate the premises," Noah ordered, and the secretary nodded.

Valeria watched them and she wondered what was actually going on. She was almost fricking out by this.

The secretary went out and she met the people outside waiting for their own interview.

"I'm sorry to inform you that the interview is closed for today." She said.

"What do you mean by that? We came very early, you can't just tell me that the interview is closed." A lady said.

"I'm sorry." The secretary apologized again.

"We've gotten someone for the job." She said and the ladies started throwing hateful glares at her.

Some mumbled inaudibly as they left. She could tell they were really hurt by this.

Deep down she wondered why Noah asked everyone to vacate the premises, and the way he reacted when he saw Valeria Startam was eye-catching.

"It's none of my business though," She thought as she left also.

Immediately, Noah noticed everyone had left. He went to the door and he banged it hard.

"Valeria!" He called, staring into her eyes.

"Excuse me? Do you know me?" Valeria asked confusedly.

Noah was kind of not happy that she couldn't even recognize him.

"It's me Valeria, it's Noah." Noah said.

Valeria thought for a while, not remembering anyone named Noah."

"It's me Noah, Ergon's older brother." Noah said, and that was the last straw, mentioning Ergon's name is a no-go area for her.

She glared angrily at him as her eyes filled with rage. She began remembering the last words Ergon said to her.

She hurriedly took her bag and she made to leave but Noah held her hands, preventing her from leaving.

"What the hell are you doing!!" She spat angrily and she hugged him hard on his hands and he immediately let go.

"You're here for the job, right? So sit down so I can interview you." Noah said.

"I don't wanna be anywhere close to your family members, keep the job to yourself. I don't need it!." She half yelled, breathing heavily, all the painful memories kept on flashing through her head.

"What have my family done to you?" Noah asked. He actually wanted her to say something, he was hoping he'd hear something about a child from him.

"Your brother is the cause of all the things I am going through right now," Valeria said, and a little droplet of tears fell from her eyes.

She sighed and she moved her gaze away from him.

"Ergon isn't the one you'd be working for," Noah tried to explain.

"Don't you ever mention his name in my presence," Valeria stated angrily.

Noah noticed she'd changed a lot. She's now bold and courageous, unlike before.
