Chapter 74: Chapter 74
Night time....
Noah was just arriving home from work, and he went directly to his mother's room. He went to her room and he knocked on the door.
"Come in." Shiella said from inside.
Noah opened the door, and he went in, closing the door behind him.
"Mom." He called.
Shiella, who was already in bed, sat up, and Noah went to sit beside her, then he hugged her.
"How are you mom?"
"I'm fine dear, how are you? And how was work today?" Shiella asked.
"It was fine." Noah said, pulling out of the hug.
"Great, I want you to tell me how it went, every single detail," Shiella said with a smile. Noah chuckled.
"Come on mom, I thought you were about going to sleep, you should sleep mom, I'll tell you tomorrow." Noah said. Shiella scoffed.
"Tomorrow? You're going to work tomorrow and it's gonna be a whole new story," Shiella said. Noah sighed.
"Fine mom, nothing much happened except for the paparazzi's disturbance and also, my secretary is resigning." Noah said. Shiella gasp.
"W what? But why? Why is she resigning? It's all so sudden." She said, and Noah massaged his temples.
"I know mom, she said she needed to go take care of her sick parents in the province. I totally understand her."
"I know, son, but it wouldn't be easy to get a good secretary like her." Shiella said worriedly.
"Don't worry mother, we'll start searching for one tomorrow, and besides, she'll also help me find a good secretary. She'll wait until we get a new secretary before she resigns," Noah said. Shiella sighed in relief.
"That's much better."
"And mom."
"Yes son."
"Ergon dropped by the office too."
"What for? Hope he didn't cause any trouble."
"No mom, he didn't, everything is cool now, we're good." Noah replied. Shiella sighed.
"I don't just know what's wrong with your brother Noah, he was never like this, he totally changed through the years, and it all started when Valeria disappeared." Shiella said sadly.
"That sweet girl, I wonder what happened, I wonder where she is, how she is, is she still alive, is she doing well, why did she leave like that, so many unanswered questions, but I guess we'll never know the answer, only Valeria can tell us this. I feel so sorry for her poor mother too."
"Her mother, mom, do you know anything about her mother?" Noah asked.
"No son, I haven't heard anything from her since five years ago, and the last time she came here was because of Valeria. We all looked for her. I had the police search for her, but it was all to no avail." Shiella said with a sad sigh.
"I wonder how her mother is," Noah thought.
"You don't have to worry about anything mom, things will be good soon. Just go to bed, I'll see you in the morning."
"Okay son, goodnight, I love you."
"Love you too mom." Noah replied, he placed a kiss on her forehead, then he stood up and he left.
Noah went to his room, and he sat on his bed. His mind went to Valeria, and he sighed.
He's already asked his trusted man to look for her, it's been years, but he still hopes that he'll be able to find her.
"I guess I'll also have to look for her mother too."
"I pray I find you Valeria, I pray I find you." He said, he stood up, and he went into his bathroom.

Valeria laid in bed with her son snuggled close to her, she stared at a sleeping Fred with so much love in her eyes.
Raising him alone hasn't been easy at all for her. The past five years haven't been easy for her either. She's seen hell on earth, she once lived on the street as a beggar, she had nowhere to go to, no place to call home, no one to help her.
She had her baby on the streets, the passersby had been the ones to help her, she had wanted to give up once, but her baby gave her the strength to keep pushing. Fred was a blessing to her, the one who was rejected by his father was a blessing to her.
She had met Shantel a few months after she gave birth to Fred. Shantel had been the one to help her, she took her out of the streets and into her home. She provided food and shelter with clothing for both her and her baby, she had also found a job for her, and each time she lost a job. But because the owner was trying to harass her and she had no choice but to quit, Shantel was there to comfort her and she'd still help her get a new job.
Thinking about her sufferings made her remember Ergon and how he had refused her and abandoned her. The hatred she had for him grew even more. He took everything away from her. She still hadn't mustered enough courage to even go back to her mother. She didn't know what she'd say to her when she saw her.
"Mom." She whispered as a lone tear slipped down her cheek.
She wondered how her mother was doing, she wanted to see her mother so badly, she wanted to feel her comforting embrace.
"You must hate me so much now, you foolish daughter who left you without a word, you must hate this daughter of yours." She cried.
"Do you even still see me as your daughter?"
"What do I do mom? I miss you so much, I miss you so much it hurts. I just want to see you again, mother, I want to see you again."
"Mama," Fred called in his sleep.
Valeria looked at him, and she smiled, she wiped off her tears and she placed a kiss on his forehead.
No matter how hard things had been for her, one thing she'd never regret was having Fred. He was the light in her life, her strength. He gave her the strength to keep pushing, and she was always glad she gave birth to him, her little bundle of joy.
"I love you so so much honey." She whispered, she kissed his forehead and held him even closer to herself.
She closed her eyes and she finally forced herself to sleep.
