Chapter 73: Chapter 73
"That cunning whore?" Ergon spat, surprising Noah greatly.
"W....w...what?." Noah stuttered, not being able to believe his ears.
"What do you mean by that? Why did you even call her that?"
"Oh dear brother, believe me when I say she deserves to be called worse names than this, why did you even bring her up? Why did you have to mention that bitch's name to me? I never want to hear her name, please." Ergon said.
"Okay, hold on a second, last I can remember, you two were a couple, so what in the world happened?" Noah asked.
"You don't wanna know." Ergon sighed, rubbing his temples.
The name Valeria brings nothing but anger and hatred to him. Remembering the past alone is enough to give him a headache, he doesn't even know what happened to her, and he doesn't even care.
Five years ago, his mother had come to the mansion in search of her. He could remember how heartbroken she was when they told her the news of Valeria running away. Ergon never told anyone what he knew, he kept it to himself. His mother had searched for Valeria, even her mom, but they never found her.
Until today, no one knew the real reason behind Valeria's disappearance, and he never revealed it either, but today, he's gonna tell it to Noah. He feels his brother deserves to know the truth. After all, he once liked her, so, he should know the real truth about Valeria, and that she's a bitch.
"I want to know, so tell me." Noah said impatiently.
"She's a bitch bro, a sneaky one. Can you imagine, five years ago, she came to me and told me she was pregnant with my child, my child! I never even touched her," Ergon said. Noah's eyes widened with shock.
"W what?." He stuttered.
Noah felt like a bucket of ice had been poured on him, his body suddenly felt cold, his head began to spin, his heart raced faster, he just couldn't believe this.
"P p pregnant?."
"H how?."
"Yes, she came to me and told me she was carrying my child, and that she gave me her virginity, shit like we've been sleeping with each other, come on man, I never ever touched the bitch, anytime I tried to, she says she's not ready and we should wait until she's 18, so how the fuck did she get pregnant with my child!." Ergon half yelled.
"This happened not too long after you left. I never ever want to think about it. Anyways, I remember it, it makes me angry and my hatred for her grows even more. That bitch is crazy, she pretends to love me and to also be a saint, but deep down, she's a cheap slut, and she must have run away because of that. I pray I never get to see her witchy face again."
"Maybe she fucking didn't want the baby and she tried to pin the responsibility on me. That bitch was damn foolish, she must have thought of me as a fool, she must have thought she could fool me, but she was so damn wrong, how does she expect me to father another man's fucking child?"
The rest of Ergon's words didn't get into Noah's head, all he kept thinking about was Valeria.
Deep down, he had a feeling he was the father of her child, he was the one who had slept with her.
Valeria got pregnant with his child, not Ergon's.
"W where's she?." Noah found himself asking.
Ergon frowned.
"What do you mean by where's she? I mean, it's been years, how would I know about her whereabouts, and besides, I don't give a fuck what happens to the bitch." Ergon spat.
Noah balled his fist in rage, he felt like punching a whole right through Ergon's face for insulting Valeria, but he managed to control his anger.
"Anyways, forget about the bitch, i just hope we'll be cool from now on." Ergon said, and Noah furrowed his brow in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, it's because of the bitch we've been at each other's neck." Ergon laughed.
"Now we both know the kind of person she is, there's no need to fight each other over a worthless piece of trash," Ergon scoffed.
"Let's be cool with others now, she wasn't worth the fight." Ergon said.
He stretched forth his hand for a handshake.
Noah stared at Ergon's hand for sometime, he didn't feel like shaking him, he wasn't pleased with the annoying words he kept on hauling at Valeria, but he didn't want Ergon to suspect anything. He had no choice but to shake him.
"We're cool?" Ergon asked, his hand still stretched forward.
"Cool." Noah said through gritted teeth, then he shook Ergon's hand.
"Good." Ergon smiled, then he left go of Noah's hand.
"I guess I'll see you around then," he said.
Ergon stood up, then he turned to leave, but Noah's voice stopped him.
"Why?" Noah asked, and Ergon turned to face him.
"Why what?" Ergon replied with a confused frown on his face.
"Why did you keep quiet all these years? You knew the reason Valeria left but you never said anything to anyone. Why? I just don't get it."
"I myself don't know the reason I didn't say a word to anyone, but anyways, it's all in the past, Valeria is history, and not just that, I also consider her dead to me, and I want nothing to do with her." Ergon said through gritted teeth.
"She might as well be dead."
"Goodbye bro, I'll see you around." He said with a smile, then he left, and this time, Noah didn't stop him.
"Valeria," Noah whispered as he rubbed his temples.
"Where are you? What happened to you?"
"She might as well be dead." Ergon's words rang in his ears.
"No, Valeria can't be dead, I'll find her, I must find her."
Noah immediately placed a call to his most trusted guard, and he picked him up immediately.
"Come to my office immediately, I've got a job for you." He said, then he hung up.
"I'll find you, Valeria, I'll find you."
