Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Chapter 8 The Crazy President
Skytel was a well-known international company whose business covered almost all the most profitable industries, especially its Internet technology, which was in a leading position in the world.
Many graduates from well-known universities regarded entering Skytel as their life goal. As long as they became employees of Skytel, it would mean success, and would gain the envy of countless peers.
The headquarters of Skytel was located in the most prosperous and crowded places in the city center. The building had 50 floors. It was a landmark of the city and a striking symbol of the city's global trade center.
Bella was wearing a beige suit with a beautiful lily brooch, light makeup, and a simple hairstyle, looking gentle and competent.
Standing outside the revolving door, to the reflection of herself in the glass, she raised her fists to pep herself up, took three deep breaths, and walked in with her brown high heels.
After graduating from college, Bella married her classmate David immediately, which meant her work experience was blank.
When proposing, David held her hand and said to her: "I will work hard to make you the happiest wife in the world."
That affectionate look was exactly the same as when he expressed his affection to Lanny on the wedding day.
Bella, who believed in him and really wasted 5 years without a job, felt that she was such an idiot.
The lobby on the first floor was very high, and the decoration was also very stylish. The receptionist at the front desk had an outstanding look, spoke clearly, used standard words, and was polite and meticulous to every visitor, reflecting the high-end position of Skytel.
"Ma'am, please fill out this form." The receptionist in front of Bella handed over a form.
Bella picked up a pen and filled in the visitor information and the reason for the visit simply, and asked, "Is the interview location on the 10th floor?"
"Yes, please take the elevator to the interview floor."
Bella nodded with thanks and walked towards the elevator.
Five steps away from the golden elevator door, Bella saw that the elevator floor in front of her was displayed as the first floor.
"It went well." Bella took this coincidence as a good omen.
However, she was pushed away and almost twisted her foot.
"Please get out of the way." Several men with sunglasses and suits of the same color set aside the people gathered around the elevator.
The men used their bodies to form a human wall, leaving a passage in the middle, and Bella and the others were blocked outside the wall.
The surroundings suddenly quieted down, and Bella was influenced by the people around her and resisted the urge to ask.
A man was escorted through the passage and entered the elevator door.
Bella, whose vision was blocked, did not see the man until the elevator door closed, and could only see the man's slender legs in the gap.
As the man left, the human wall quickly dissipated, and the people around were able to move freely again.
Bella, who entered the elevator, found a spot near the exit, still thinking about the situation just now.
"Did we meet the president just now?" A woman whispered behind Bella.
Another woman said, "Yes, the exclusive elevator can only be used by the president."
The woman who asked the question said: "The president is more handsome than a movie star, and his figure is better than an underwear male model."
The other woman said: "Isn't the best thing about the president that he is young and has great wealth?"
Bella's question was answered.
She should have known that such a person in Skytel's building must be a big shot of high status.
But this president only took the exclusive elevator and traveled with bodyguards. All of these behaviors were crazy.
Bella was interviewing for the position of the president's assistant, and she was sure that working for such a boss would be very painful.
All the people waiting for the interview were gathered in a conference room.
There was a long table in the middle of the conference room, and Bella and the others sat around the table.
A quick estimate of the number of people in this conference room made Bella nervous.
It was so typical of Skytel. There were so many people competing with her for this position.
Through the conversations with others, she found that there were many talents with high academic qualifications and excellent work experience, and her competitiveness was basically at the bottom.
Bella kept a tight grip on her bag, feeling anxious and irritable.
She had to keep telling herself to take this high-level interview as a training to gain experience, not to care about the final result, as long as she did her best to devote herself to it.
But she knew that her strong competitive spirit made her inevitably care about the results.
A man with glasses sat on Bella's left. He patted Bella's arm slightly, trying to gain her attention: "Are you nervous?"
Bella looked at him and didn't answer.
Everyone else in this conference room was her competitor, and she didn't want to show weakness in front of them.
The man said: "My college classmate works here. He told me that the president has changed many assistants, and none of them can work for him for more than a year."
Bella wondered: "Why?"
"Because he is too strict," the man replied.
Bella glanced at the others. Some of them were looking through their resumes, some were talking to the people around them, and each of them made no secret of their desire for the position.
Finally, she withdrew her sights: "Then why are there so many people coming for the interview? Is it because the salary is high?"
She clearly remembered the salary range of the president's assistant announced by Skytel, which is a figure that can make most people interested.
The man pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose: "It's not just because of money, what you need to know is that the president's assistant of Skytel can get a lot of valuable experience that you can't get anywhere else. The experience of serving this position would be regarded as a golden experience by other excellent companies."
"I see." Bella nodded.
These words intensified her desire not to fail.
She silently made a wish in her heart that as long as she got this job, no matter how critical the president was, she would endure it.
Soon it was Bella's turn for the interview.
This was a room about the same size as the previous conference room, with a simple layout.
There were 12 interviewers sitting opposite Bella like a group of experienced hunters, and Bella was a deer going out alone for the first time.
"Hello, dear interviewers, I'm candidate No. 32." Bella took her seat after greeting.
She introduced herself as she had prepared, then nervously waited for questions.
The interviewer with red hair looked at Bella's resume: "You have been a housewife for 5 years. Can you tell us the reason why you want to return to work?"
Bella's back stiffened.
As she expected, she couldn't avoid this question.
She answered honestly, "Because I'm divorced."
The interviewer nodded: "So you don't work voluntarily?"
