Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Met a fraud
At Mr. and Mrs. White's home, Bella sat at the table to turn on the computer.
She logged into the rental website. At first, she posted the news that she wanted to rent a house and marked her basic requirements and affordable rent. While waiting for someone who saw the news to contact her, she browsed the appropriate houses in the rental section.
As soon as she turned the web page, someone sent her a message.
"It's indeed the most famous rental website. Someone contacts me so quickly." Bella clicked on the message excitedly.
It was the message she received, "This is the details of the house."
A link was attached.
Bella clicked on the link and opened a web page. It was the rental information posted by that person.
Bella moved the mouse to browse it.
There were many high-definition pictures on the web page. It was a beautiful red brick house with simple decoration. She felt delighted just by looking at those lovely ornaments. There was even a small garden in front of the house, in which the flowers were well taken care of.
Bella looked at it slower and slower.
She fell in love with the house at a glance, but it must be expensive. She couldn't afford it.
Bella secretly let out a sigh.
She had marked her acceptable rent range. Why did this person contact her? Maybe it was just spamming.
These pictures were so delicate that they could be used for TV advertising. Therefore, Bella didn't quit immediately but chose to look at all of them.
However, when she saw the rent marked under the last picture, she was stunned.
This price was within her acceptable rent range. It was the lowest price.
The location of the house was marked below the price. The house was in the suburb.
Bella let go of the mouse and leaned against the back of the chair.
She was sure this person was a fraud.
How could she rent such a nice house at a low price?
What was going on with the audit of this rental website?
"I like quiet places," Suddenly, Edward said behind Bella.
Bella was startled. She sat straight, "I'll pay attention to quiet places."
Edward pointed to the computer screen, "This place looks very quiet, and it's suitable for me."
Bella moved her mouse to the price, "Look."
Edward looked over obediently, "You should be able to afford it."
Bella shook her head.
She should have guessed that Edward had never experienced the life of ordinary people, and he wasn't as vigilant as normal people.
"It's impossible to rent such a house at such a low price. It must be a trick." She explained to Edward.
"I see." Edward's voice was low.
Bella nodded, "There's no need to waste time on a fraud."
She closed the website, re-opened the rental section, and continued to browse.
Edward left the dining room quietly.
After a while, Bella received another message.
Bella was no longer so excited when she clicked on it.
Then she found that it was the liar who contacted her just now.
"Are you satisfied with this house?"
Bella had just registered an account on the website. She guessed that the fraud knew this and thought she lacked social experience. That was why he fooled her.
She decided to put him on the black list.
That person sent her another message, "I'm not a fraud."
Bella shook her head.
A fraud would never say he was a fraud, just as a murderer would not admit to killing someone.
She received many pictures.
Bella clicked on them. Those were certification materials.
"You can confirm the authenticity of these materials to the website customer service. I am a professional agent who has been engaged in the housing rental industry for fifteen years." That person sent her the message.
His attitude was very sincere, and Bella liked the house very much, so she contacted the website customer service.
Ten minutes later, Bella ended her communication with customer service.
To her surprise, these certification materials were real. The customer service checked the agent's transaction records and confirmed his credit.
"The house is very popular. If you like it, please contact me as soon as possible to sign a contract."
Bella looked at the latest news and couldn't believe there would be such a great thing.
"Have you chosen a house?" Edward came from the living room.
Bella shook her head.
"You're very inefficient," Edward said.
His tone was stern, like a boss lecturing his subordinate.
Bella closed her eyes, "I don't work for you."
Edward moved to the table, "Strong determination will inevitably lead to efficient actions. You are not mentally ready to live independently."
Bella patted the table with both hands, "You're talking nonsense."
She was not the kind of person who couldn't live without her parents.
Edward knocked on the table, "Fact proves everything."
Bella stood up and turned the computer screen to Edward, "The fact is that I've found a suitable house, and I'm about to sign the contract. I'll show you my determination right now."
Then she sent the signing application, and that person replied to her quickly.
They signed the contract through the official channels of the website.
After that, Bella weaved around the table and put the computer in front of Edward, "This is the house we are moving into."
Edward took a look, "I see."
Bella raised her chin, "This is the house you're satisfied with."
Edward looked at Bella, "Your determination is firm."
Bella picked up the hem of her dress and curtseyed, "Thank you."
That afternoon, Bella contacted the moving company and moved to the new home.
They didn't have much luggage, so it didn't take Bella a lot of time to pack up.
Everything happened so suddenly and smoothly that she felt like she was dreaming.
However, Edward's attitude made her doubt that she had thought too much.
Late at night, Bella took a bath and counted her money under the light.
She spent less money on moving to the new house, but she didn't have much money left.
She had to get a suitable job as soon as possible, or she wouldn't be able to pay for rent after two months.
Bella looked around her room. It was more satisfactory than she had thought.
Even for this house, she would try to find a job.
Bella revised her resume and posted it on the job search website.
The next morning, someone called Bella and asked her to go for an interview.
"Okay, I'll get there on time."
Bella hung up the phone and went to Edward's room, "Edward, do you know which company I'm going to have a job interview in?"
Edward was amused. Of course, he knew which company she was going to interview with because it was he who had arranged for the call.
